The reality remains. What we saw today was Playoff style football. Not my job to make you see it. I can't make you understand it. Oh, and I truly do like how you give yourself so much credit. Like your one lone fact is such a victory. lol Your whole argument is "The last 3 SB winners". You offer nothing else. So I see no reason to continue this farce. Good day sir.

That's ok. I'm going to continue to believe that good teams, that want a Playoff run, need to be able to run the ball, play good to great D, and have a QB that doesn't give the game away. You can continue to believe that if you aren't throwing the ball all over the yard you are stuck in 1985.

So a guy who routinely scoffs at stats, wants to use stats?

Tampa Bay had Fournette. They had a very good ground game. The Rams had Ekler who had what? Almost 2000yds? KC had McMannis, or Mcsomething another good back. All had very good ground games. You don't want to be 1 dimensional in the Playoffs. It's just easier to Run to set up the pass, than to pass to set up the run. Just ask Rodgers.

Can Tepper find anyone better than Wilks?

That why we create the OC Apprenticeship Program. The apprentice learns the O with the understanding the when the present OC leaves, he's the man. Then he hires his own apprentice. Rinse and repeat. We would never run out of OCs. lol -
Yeah, that it. When it comes to Playoff Football. You have to be able to run the ball. We have proven to be just fine in that area. You have to have a decent to great D. We have also proven to have that. All your QB has to do is hit a few passes, and not turn the ball over. That is Playoff Football. And that is the game we saw today.

And we turned those turnovers into 10 points. Teams that turn the ball over 3 times usually lose. And those are the types of games we used to lose. It was nice seeing us keep our cool.
-
Yeah, that play is in every teams arsenal now adays.
-
TBF, a lot of teams run that play now. We ran for over 200 yards. Sam added 120. And we had the ball for over 40 minutes. That right there is Playoff Football. Edit to add; Now I'm not saying we will make the Playoffs. I'm just saying that that is the style of play we are seeing.

It looks like Playoff Football. Don't know if it will happen this year, but man, it sure feels like the start of something big.

You know how you solve the "always losing our OC dilemma"? Always have an apprentice in waiting. He will know that when the current OC leaves, he steps right in. Then he hires his apprentice. Rinse and repeat. Wilks get to be HC, and we never run out of OCs.

It's amazing how many games are won or lost because of execution. I'll take the team that can execute in their sleep any time. F\Today, for the first time in a long while, I saw the Panthers play Playoff Football. It was cool to see.

Let's say we do win out and go 9-8, with a Division Title. Playing the style of football we play, we are not going to be an easy out. Teams have been put on notice that the Panthers come to play, and you had better put your big boy pants on, We are playing the type of games that playoff games always come down to. Who can instill their will upon the other. Pretty good D with a punishing O. Sounds like Playoff Football to me.

Wilks does not have a losing record since taking over. C'mon man. If you truly don't see the difference in the teams play since Wilks took over? You are missing a good time. We may very well be standing on ground zero of something truly big. Who knows?

The Panthers are on the verge of establishing a winning culture. With Sam Darnald, and a coaching staff that is still learning to work together. We may not be world beaters yet, but man, with some luck this team will just continue to get better. Winning begets winning and losing begets losing. Right now, we are trending towards winning. I can live with that.

He's filled in admirably lately. Don't get me wrong, Woods is better. But Hartfield is having a pretty good year for himself. -

Man, there is a whole lot of petty in here. You would hope that the Christmas spirit would calm some of this down. I guess Message Boards are immune. -

The Packers have had 2 HOF QBs over the last 26yrs. And have a whopping 2 SB wins. Talent alone can't do diddly. -

You leave Goff alone. He's fine right where he is. lol -
I see 2 scenarios for how this alll unfolds. 1. Sam balls out and we go 4-1. Both Sam and Wilks return. 2. Sam continues to struggle, and we go 2-3. Neither Sam nor Wilks return. I like option 1, because you can build off a strong finish. But we'd still have Sam and Wilks. However, you have to start a winning culture somewhere. I like option 2 for the future. But I hate losing games. It makes building a winning culture so much more difficult.
