  1. Oh I get it. Running game good. QB play bad. Except for the last game, Sam played well this year. Way too many ppl, for whatever reason, just refuse to acknowledge that fact. Nobody is PIMPING Sam. And I am sure NOBODY wants him as our permanent starter. But it scares you so much you refuse to even admit he played rather well this year.
  2. I've already said that twice. We need a Vet to mentor our kids. And probably play a handful of games. You have yet to even propose a QB for that position. C'mon man. You have no idea how well Sam could do as a mentor. To dismiss him out of hand is just disingenuous.
  3. Too many ppl still clinging to the past. So what if Sam has had a bad career. THIS year he showed there can be improvement. Isn't that about all you can ask for? Wilks is coach. Sam may be back New coach. Who the heck knows
  4. You act as if there is a stigma attached to being capable of running the ball. Very few teams can win without it.
  5. And just who is this QB that can do all that? You saw that list. There is precious little QB help waiting to save us.
  6. If Wilks is retained. I could absolutely see Sam being brought back to hold the fort, and mentor the kids. However, a new coach may have other ideas. Which right now seems like a step up.
  7. Truth be told. One way or another, there is a huge possibility that we will have both a rookie QB and a 2nd year QB. We HAVE to bring in a Vet. One willing to play a few games and help mentor the kids. Next year may not be anything to write home about. But it is going to be entertaining getting there.
  8. I see what you mean. I don't really see a solution. But if we draft another QB, we will need someone to help mentor both him and Matt.
  9. And how many of those would you realistically be willing to bring in as a starter? I'd take Minshew. As an aside; I can't even fathom that Chad Henne is still in the league. That boggles the mind.
  10. There are ppl that would be ok with Sam as a bridge. In the right circumstances. But as a starter? Not many want to hitch their wagon to that particular choice.
  11. You really do have no compunction at all about insulting, basically, the whole fanbase do you?
  12. There is a whole lot of wrong in this post. You'd be hard pressed to find many ppl who want to resign Sam. But it must be fun throwing that out there. As to the Cam thing. Who you fishing for with that bait?
  13. An ugly win counts just as much as a pretty win. Who cares what it looks like? A WIN is a WIN. I just don't understand this. Who spends 4 hours watching their favorite team win a football game, then complains about how it was won? We beat a Divisional rival, at their place, and only lost 1 spot in the draft doing so. Triple win.
  14. I'm all for a top pick, if it happens organically because your team sux. Or maybe via trade as well. But purposely losing for a high pick is a fans wet dream. It doesn't happen in the real world. Yes we need a QB. But you folks obsessing over events out of your control are becoming redundant. It's the same argument every time. There are no new angles to add. So just keep rehashing the same opinions over and over until we finally get to the draft. Then you can start harping on the fact we took the wrong one. lol Happy Holidays to you and yours.
  15. I got a quarter that says this thread is going to be a doozy.
  16. Your first few sentences spelled it out rather succinctly. It's always good to open with an insult. It really grabs the readers' attention. I sorry, but I am not ready all that just so you can play teacher. Happy Holidays to you and yours.
  17. Sometimes you be the hammer. And sometimes the nail. My SWAG) Scientific wild ass guess) would be that most people believe we have too any nails.
  18. I don't want to say it's a Perfect Panther thing to do. Cuz we really don't know how Fox or Rivera would use him. But it is a typical Rhule move. Take a player, who was in the running for DPOY, and change his position. It is also kinda strange how Wilks is using him. There may be a method to his madness, but I can't see it. Just another one of those things that make me go hmmm.
  19. I have no idea what his football smarts are. But I do know that our Line became instantly better the minute he took over. He is rated a top 10 C, so I would think we will have to pay him rather well.
  20. I was just drawing a comparison. Well, and throwing in a little dig. Sometimes I just feel like being a little bad.
