I ain't worried about a team that in a passing league drafted a RB at what 7? Yeah, fans would go ape shiit crazy if we had done that. I guess when you don't have a competent QB, you have to run the ball. Edit to add; That a major part of that running attack, Mariotta, is gone. Whose gonna pick up those yards?

He is another Panther that is criminally underappreciated around here. He is going to be a big part of what this Offense wants to achieve.

There has been nothing stated that he will not play Sun. except for some Huddle speculations. I would be surprised if he held out. But truly, no on knows but him and whoever is in his inner circle.

Plenty of players play all the way through their contracts. But more and more it seems like more and more players want to get a raise every 2 years. So things like this happen every year. It happened 6 times this year alone. Burns isn't the only one still holding out. Well to be honest. Burns hasn't actually held out yet.

Well, it took 3 days but I finally finished this stupid thread. And I did learn 2 things. 1. there's really only 4 different ways to say something. After that you're just repeating yourself. And 2. Speculation is really a fact if you use it properly.

lol okey dokey. If Burns is in the building, and at practice. That's all his teammates care about. they don't care about outside noise. All they care about is what Burns is bringing. There has yet to be one single mention of Burns acting out. And that is all his teammates care about. It's a business and every player knows it. Edit to add; LOL at this line. ANYBODY that makes any type of seasonal predictions based off preseason isn't paying attention.

How can so many Huddlers not understand this. They are all worst=case scenario based off of preseason. Of which we were warned was for evaluation. I guess people only see, read or comprehend what they want.

Go for it. Reich said they were going to put the kids in no win situations to see how they handled themselves. You have no idea what the plan is. If you want to go with worst case scenario, so be it. We were told it was going to be all about evaluation. We had a practice with the Jets, and we did practice on our own. And we have a topflight coaching staff. I'm pretty sure the guys know pretty much what their jobs are by now.

Do people not care, or not understand? We were told preseason was going to be ugly. Now everyone is freaking out because it was ugly. We showed absolutely nothing in preseason. If you are basing the season off of that? You either have an agenda, or you just plain ignored what we were told.

Sure long ball controlled drives are disheartening. But they are a bittch to sustain because every mistake can be a drive killer. Not many teams can run it up and down the field and never make mistakes. Running the ball is fine. But it's passing the ball where the points are at.

We were 8th in the league in yards per rush. So our run D wasn't as bad as folks make it out to be. You can rush all you want. If you don't have a QB, it makes it much tougher to score. Edit to add; Also, the thing about rushing teams. It takes much longer to put a drive together, which makes every mistake that much more important and more difficult to overcome. If you have a hold on 1st down, now it's 2nd and 20. Chances of getting that first down running the ball are far less than passing for it.

For almost the entire off season, right up to preseason, Panther fans were "Happy". Then preseason played out, and now we have a bunch who are "Unhappy" They pretty much ''Checked out" when we didn't win the preseason SuperB owl. For the rest of us. Sunday can't get here soon enough.

It's a passing league. It is much easier to score through the air than on the ground. Stop the pass, then worry about the run

I've been waiting 7 months for Panther football. Checked out? Fug that. Too much excitement to check out. It's like we hit the reset button. It's all brand spanking new, and still has that new car smell. Sunday can't get here fast enough.

We were told before preseason that we would be vanilla on both Offense and Defense. And that they were putting players in no win situations. It makes no sense to use Preseason as a precursor to the Regular Season. We gave kids ample opportunities to show what they had. Without showing anything in our hand, Sounds like a good strategy to me.

One would think that after a whole offseason of whining, bitchhing, and moaning that fans would be ready for some football. Yet 2 days before the season starts we still have whining, bitchhing, and moaning. Evidently there is no limit to the amount of negativity this board can produce. Fanatic thy name is Panther fan.

It's a passing league. They were near the top last year and what did that get them? And then they drafted more running. Do you follow any teams besides the Panthers?
