The rebuild doesn't start until 2025. What we're seeing now isn't a rebuild, it is the end result of years and years of disastrous decision-making. Ain't nothing to build with this unit. Most of these players don't belong on an NFL roster.

I WANT ARCH MANNING 2026

The vast majority of QBs in the NFL didn't lose a lot in high school. Are you suggesting they did not face adversity either? CJ Stroud only lost 4 games in 2 years starting at Ohio State. Are you saying he hasn't faced adversity either? Like, maybe Bryce Young just isn't a good QB? Why do ya'll have to go so deep with it? None of you know the work he's put in behind the scenes. I seriously doubt a dude who is 5'10 made it as far as he did at QB without putting the work in. You can face all the adversity you can handle and still be a bad QB. Don't get me wrong, sure he had some advantages that maybe other guys didn't have, but to act like he just skated through without doing anything just seems unfair. Like we don't need to knock the man's work ethic or character or what he's had to do on his own end.

I know Bryce isn't working out for us, but this seems a bit unfair to him. The reason he went to Alabama and "not some random school like Kansas" is because he earned it. He was a 5* recruit and 2nd overall player in his class. I don't see how you can say he had it any easier than CJ Stroud, who went to high school in the same area as Bryce and went to Ohio State. LIS I know Bryce is looking like a bust for us but I don't think we should question the work he's put into this game. Some players just don't work out no matter how much work they put in, it doesn't mean they haven't faced adversity.

Lol why is this Bryce Young picture still on the side of the forum?

Tua is the worst kind of QB you can have. He's good enough to where you really don't want to move on from him because you could easily do worse, but he's also not very good at all. QB Purgatory. At least Bryce is bad enough to get us the No. 1 Overall Pick. Dolphins will always be a middle-of-the-road team with Tua.

They did look better, but only because the bar was set so low. They only had 13 points entering the 4th quarter. Andy Dalton averaged 6.2 Y/A that game, which is better than Bryce, but among qualified passers would have ranked 29th in the league in 2023 (tied with Zach Wilson). People focus a lot on the passing yards but seem to forget we threw the ball 58 times. We had 44 rushing yards. The only reason we got to 27 points is because the game was well out of reach. Again, not saying it didn't look better. But it still sucked, it was just a different flavor of suck.

Overreacting? We have scored 18 or fewer points in 12 of our last 13 games. And the defense is much worse than it was last year. Derrick Brown's injury all but guaranteed it. They might have the worst position group at every level outside of the OL. QBs, RBs, WRs, TEs, DL, LBs, DBs... you name it. Name a team with a worse position group at those spots. We're at least bottom 3/5 in all of them. This is what happens when you trade all your best players for *checks notes* NOTHING and between 2019-2023 drafted nothing but straight garbage outside of Brian Burns (who we traded) and Derrick Brown (on IR). Jaycee Horn if you want to throw him in there, but he's been hurt every year. I don't think anyone is overreacting to Week 1. Week 1 just took all the hopium out of us and now we see this team for what it really is. And it ain't a pretty sight to see. The season will be more enjoyable when you accept you are about to witness history.

It is a good bet, but I'm not sure how much money I would put on it in a straight bet. Chargers will be on the road and it is a 1pm game. They also lack the firepower on offense that the Saints have. I don't see us winning, but I could see it being a low-scoring game and Chargers only win by 4 or 5. If they weren't on the road or Chargers were any better than they are, then I would call it the lock of the week.

Why are we allowing intentionally misleading topic titles? Matt Weldman in that tweet does not say Bryce Young isn't allowed to change calls at the line. No source provided that Mayfield claims to have not had the freedom. Weldman asks the question if Bryce has freedom or not based off a play he watched. And maybe he doesn't have freedom. I'm not looking to defend Young or Canales. Just think we could be a bit more accurate with how we phrase things. It is just as likely that Young didn't properly read the defense and failed to signal for a hot route.

About those big money Guards Morgan spent on….
Mage replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Ikem is still terrible, oof. Not gonna get easier for him in the coming weeks either. -
And to be fair, outside of saying his footwork was good, Canales was pretty critical of Bryce. Talked about the throws he kept missing.

Giants have a lot more talent than us. They won 6 games last year between Jones, Taylor, and DeVito. They probably won't win that many again, but I can see them winning 3. Does anyone think the Panthers are winning more than 1?

Who the hell is Jayden Peevy

Storyline-wise, A+ choice for first MNF game of the year This will be low-scoring with 2 great defenses on the field and 1 of the QBs coming off a season-ending injury. Jets pass D has been elite with Sauce Gardner, but they lost their best pass rusher from 2023 and Reddick isn't playing. And you just really wonder how good the Jets offense will be. Can we be so sure that Rodgers at 40 years old can be effective? The drop-off can happen in a blink of the eye, and that is without factoring in his injury. I'll go 49ers here, we know what we are getting with them every year when healthy, but it will be tight.

Well, he's 100% not gonna sell. So best to hope for the next best thing.

Just watched Bryce Young's press conference You ever want to see an athlete who has lost every inch of confidence that they had in themselves? Watch Young talk. He's not gonna get any better because he doesn't believe in himself anymore. Zach Wilson was terrible but never seemed like he lost belief in himself to do better the next game. And this is in NEW YORK. Obviously it takes more than confidence to be good in this league, but it starts there. I do think we will see Andy Dalton sooner than later. Khalil Mack, Maxx Crosby, Trey Hendrickson, and Montez Sweat over the next 4 games? Oh wee mayne, Bryce ain't surviving that.

Derrick Brown potential season ending knee injury
Mage replied to UNCrules2187's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don't think we HAVE to take a QB just for the sake of it. Panthers keep falling into this trap of forcing it with QBs. If we don't like any of the QBs, then take the best player available. Literally every position on the team is a need. In all likelihood, we will suck again next year and at minimum be picking in the top 3. So we don't need to rush and get a QB. We aren't contending for anything anytime soon. This team 100% needs to consider trading any and everyone that they can for picks. This will be a long, long rebuild. -
Derrick Brown potential season ending knee injury

Giants won 6 games with a combo of Tyrod, Daniel Jones, and DeVito last year. They will be bad but they will luck into a few games. Panthers ain't lucking into diddly poo. We are the late 2000s Rams of the NFL right now, and at least they had Steven Jackson. -

Lets hope Jaycee Horn stays healthy... -
The only hope is that Tepper eventually relinquishes control of operations. Remains as the owner but has little to no say in anything that doesn't relate to the finances of the team. I don't anticipate that to happen, but it could. Attendance is going to be REAL bad this year.
