  1. Wow, how did I not realize Marvin Harrison Jr is 6'4? Dude is about to destroy the league
  2. If we get a franchise QB? Yes 100%
  3. This isn’t that strong of an FA class.
  4. If a team knew a QB would be, at his absolute worst, as good as Dak Prescott, he would go #1 overall every single year.
  5. Brissett makes the most sense to me. He's worked with Reich before and has shown in the past he understands his role on the team, which is perfect to pair with a rookie QB. Not to mention if the rookie isn't ready to start right away, Brissett is a capable starter. Not great but serviceable.
  6. I'm not a big fan of re-signing Foreman. Not totally against it because I get it, but I don't think he's anything special and I would rather have a more explosive lead back. Not to mention he's not much of a threat in the passing game. Will be interesting to see the numbers.
  7. This makes the most sense for the Bears IMO. But if I'm the Texans, I would have to be 100% convinced the difference between Young and Stroud warrants giving up what they would probably have to to secure #1.
  8. He just names the teams that don’t have starters, not that he’s heard the Panthers actually have any interest.
  9. Why do people keep saying this as if Richardson wasn't hyped and talked about before the combine?
  10. I like Stephen A, but I'll trust the reporting we have heard over the last 6 or however many months over him. He's more connected to the NBA than the NFL. Not saying he's wrong. Him/his source could be right! But until other sources chime in saying the same thing, then my belief is that Jackson is searching for a contract in the same vein as Watson's. Plus, no high-end QB has signed a long-term extension since then right? It makes sense as to why he would expect that.
  11. Lamar isn't signing unless he gets a fully guaranteed contract. The only chance the Ravens have of moving him off that stance is to put in a position to find out if there is any team willing to give him that. If not, then Lamar will have no choice but to alter his demands.
  12. What has playing it safe got the Panthers organization?
  13. But (most) people didn't think that because they thought Willis was a great prospect. They thought that because they felt he was QB1 in the draft and QB1's tend to get over-drafted. Last year was the lowest a QB was drafted 1st since 1997. Who could have really seen that coming? Don't get me wrong, I get what you are trying to say, but the situations are completely different. Willis was projected to go high because he was seen by some as the best QB in a terrible QB draft. Richardson is expected to go high not because the class is weak but because he's legitimately a special talent from a physical standpoint. LIS I seriously seriously seriously doubt he falls like Willis did.
  14. Malik Willis was propped up by an extremely weak QB class last year. The first QB taken was what, Pickett in the 20s? There is no chance in hell Richardson falls out of the 1st round.
  15. Nothing against you, but reckless to speculate about one's death without any official or even semi-credible confirmation.
  16. What a legendary press conference in Panthers history. It’ll be a shame when most people no longer get this reference. And that was right before the doomed 2010 season I believe.
  17. Sounds crazy now, but I could see Bryce Young falling. It wouldn't be the first time a projected No. 1 pick fell. I'm not saying he will, just wouldn't surprise me. Really depends on how old-school of a mindset exists with the teams picking ahead of us.
  18. I've said since day one I think Jaycee will be an All-Pro corner. But hell nah. Sauce is a dawg. He's definitely better as of now. It is close though. Both will be considered top-5 for a long time, along with Surtain.
  19. Just to clarify, this is only true if they are here for at least the 2023 and 2024 seasons.
  20. Why do people keep thinking we have to trade Burns? The Panthers would rather give up more picks than give up Burns. I don't know why this discussion keeps happening. If the Panthers had any interest in trading Burns, they would have done so last year. Stop bringing up Burns in trade talks.
  21. Nobody is slandering Cam. I love Cam. But if you couldn't tell that physically, he looked noticeably less in 2018 than he did in prior seasons, then I don't know what to tell you. The TJ Watt did him in, sure. But more in a "nail in a coffin" kind of way. He clearly wasn't the athlete he was years prior. And you do realize he initially hurt his shoulder in 2016, right? It isn't like I'm saying he looked terrible in 2016. But in 2018 you could clearly tell he didn't have the arm strength he used to. The Watt hit just finished him off. But it was painfully obvious before that game that we probably didn't have many years left of Cam. That's why people need to focus less on numbers and more on what you see on the field. Again, I love Cam. Top 5 favorite player of all-time. But I watched him in 2018 and while the numbers were good, again it had far more to do with a change in system than anything else. Which should tell you how good Cam could have been earlier in his career if we had moved on from Shula sooner. But his velocity had clearly diminished prior to the Watt hit and he didn't move as well as he used to.
  22. Everyone talks about the hit from Watt and I'm sure that made things worse, but if you actually paid attention to Cam that season, you could tell he was on the downside. Yes, his numbers were good and CMP% at a career high, but that was because he was no longer playing in Shula's archaic offensive system (easily the worst OC I've ever seen and boggles my mind some people defended him). He had no air on his throws. I mean hell the Eagles game was a great comeback but there was little to no heat behind his throws that game. The truth of the matter is, as much as I love Cam and he'll always be among my favorites regardless of jersey or sport, he was never a great passer anyway. So once he lost some of his arm strength, it isn't a surprise he fell off a cliff. Not to mention his athleticism took a hit too. Not sure why, but he was noticeably slower and less agile than before.
  23. They will 100% cut him. I'd be shocked if any team traded for him knowing how likely it is for him to be cut, unless they truly felt there was no way Carr would sign with them and wanted to secure his services. But while I like Carr, he isn't that good to be that desperate.
  24. Panthers plan at QB should be what it should have been in 2020 Stick with what you have unless you are getting a bonafide stud via trade. Otherwise look to get a blue chip QB prospect in the draft. If for some reason you are unable to get one, go with what you have and look forward to 2024. Stop throwing money at stopgaps. I want a franchise QB or I want to work on building a great team. I like Carr actually and wouldn't be mad if we signed him. Way better than Darnold, Bridgewater, Mayfield, etc. But I don't know if it would be the most ideal scenario.
