  1. It is entirely possible to defend your point without calling a bunch of people "tards". Bryce Young sucks. The vast majority of football fans acknowledge and accept this, especially on this site despite the very few who may argue otherwise, and even then, I find it is more in a "cut him some slack" kind of way and not a "he's the future of the team" kind of way. At the end of the day, if you look hard enough on the Internet, you are always going to find takes that drastically differ from what you perceive to be the truth. And nobody who's football opinion is worth listening to has argued Bryce Young is the MVP. Again, that is an example of you looking way too hard on Twitter, assuming that is something you have actually even read.
  2. It isn't that far off. He only has 1 game this season with more than 200 passing yards, and in that one game, a lot of it came when the game was out of hand. Among qualified passers, he is 33 out of 34 QBs in Y/A. I think it is fair to say that generally speaking, his ceiling is about 150-170 passing yards. Yeah there will be aberrations but considering he's averaging 176 YPG after 38 games, how can you argue his ceiling is anything else? Only 12 times in 38 games has he cleared 200+. Cam Ward already has 5 such games this year (9 games played). Darnold had 15 in his first 2 years. Not that yards are the be all, end all. But hard to argue his ceiling (on average) is anything else.
  3. JMO, I think it is lame as hell to publicly give up on the team and then crawl back when they win a few games. Like, how can you run a PANTHERS PODCAST and then give up on it during the season? Yes, you can argue the Panthers prior to Week 3 hadn't done anything to deserve fanfare, but nobody made them run a Panthers Podcast. They chose to. So stick with it. Instead they gave up and did so publicly. Which is well within their right - but you can't then turn around and bring it back the same season.
  4. I don't know about that man. We would be picking 16th if the draft started today. We still have 2 games left against the Saints and regardless of how you feel about us - they look much worse. I'm 100% down to take a QB in the 1st, but I really doubt we will be in a position to do so. It isn't a strong class to start with.
  5. We had PLENTY of opportunities to run the ball. Dalton's turnovers were bad, but they could have been avoided. This whole "rotating possessions" crap is not only dumb, it is LAZY. It speaks volumes about who Canales is as a head coach that he can't even make the effort to figure out when to use one or the other in a strategic way.
  6. Exactly. I’m at the game now and I feel confident this would be a one score game with a competent HC. Literally makes no sense to not feed Dowdle.
  7. This is the worst coach I have ever seen
  8. Is there any other explanation for choosing Chuba over Dowdle?
  9. How many points did the Bucs beat the Jets by? How many points did the Broncos beat the Jets by? How many points did the Steelers beat the Jets by? Its the NFL. There is a reason why 90% of point spreads don't go past 7 points.
  10. Just so we are on the same page - you feel the Panthers haven't shown ANY improvement since Week 1 or last year?
  11. Who said they looked great? See, that is the difference between me and you. I can acknowledge that they weren't perfect today. But I also remember how they have looked since 2018. I also remember how the season was looking after Week 2. So again, I am so sorry I am proud of a team who's literal slogan is "Keep Pounding" for doing exactly that. And I just care about winning. We have won 3 straight. I'm not going to be less excited about that just because we might lose next week or the week after. That is stupid as hell. I'm going to be happy, and I'll let the players and coaches figure out how to improve upon this performance.
  12. Bro, you talk like I actually play for the Carolina Panthers. Sorry for being happy about my team winning. I'll let the players figure out how to get better for next week.
  13. Is this how you live your life? Not enjoying the moment because it could POTENTIALLY get worse in the future? That's pretty sad, ngl.
  14. Fair enough. Nothing more to discuss then. Clearly because I am lesser of a Panthers fan than you, I will admit you are right and that we all "know" how this season will play out.
  15. Are you suggesting that Panthers fans who pay money to go to the game are less likely to follow the team closely than someone who just posts on a forum? Just want to make sure we are on the same page.
  16. Most "realistic fans" also didn't think we would win 3 straight games after the Patriots performance So maybe we shouldn't try and create some division between "realistic" and "unrealistic" fans. We are all Panthers fans on this forum at the end of the day.
  17. It is fascinating how different this forum is from real life. I have had a BLAST this season. Been to all 3 home games. I was out today for the game. Had a great time with friends and other Panthers fans that I have met along the way I get on this forum to celebrate Panthers football with fans who have been posting on this site for ages. Fans who have seen this team be AWFUL for a long time. We finally get to a winning record, and yet the first thing people rush to do? "IS BRYCE GOOD?" "CANALES MAKING ME MAD" But in real life? The Panthers fans I have met? Happy as hell. Having a freakin' blast. I am loving this season. First time in a long time I wake up on Monday's just SUPER excited for Panthers football later in the week.
  18. But "considering other options" isn't the basis of this thread. And look, we can talk about how good Bryce is or isn't all day. You know... just as we have discussed all week, all year, the past 3 years. It seems odd that this is the first thing someone would want to discuss after a massive win. Hence "drink more alcohol". Relax. Enjoy the win. Go out and enjoy this beautiful weather and city and celebrate with fellow Panthers fans as I have done for the last 3 weeks.
  19. Some of you need to drink more frfr Like how is the first thing you are thinking about after we just achieved a winning record for the first time in ages lol
  20. As one of his biggest critics on this forum - What a freakin' game by him.
  21. I am so damn proud of this team. Was it an ugly win? Of course. But after the first two weeks of the season, who on this site hadn't written them off? They have literally been what Panthers football is all about: Keep Pounding. Don't give up, keep playing hard, keep playing as a team, be physical. How can a true Panthers fan not be proud of them? We still need to keep getting better, no doubt about that. But right now I am so freakin happy.
  22. Jimmy Horn is playing with the same QB and in 2 fewer games already has more receiving yards than XL has this year.
  23. I don't believe in Bryce to ever become a top 10 QB, but I do think it would be wise to pick up the option as long as he doesn't utterly collapse down the stretch (which wouldn't surprise me). The 2026 QB class is weak and there is no guarantee we will be in a good spot to pick a QB in 2027 either. And $30m is a lot cheaper than most free agent options (however many there are).
  24. A WR with bad hands does not have "upside for days." We're talking about a guy who had 423 receiving yards in his first 4 years of college. I had more faith in guys like Funchess and LaFell than I do Legette.
