It really depends on how Gilmore performs. I loved the trade but he's 31, gonna be 32 next season. I can't see us giving him more than $10m per.

Rams and Seahawks are good comparisons. Our front office and structure/aggressiveness reminds me of those two teams them most. You HAVE to be aggressive to win in the NFL (unless your the Patriots w/ Brady). Whether it is trading up for a QB like the Chiefs did for Mahomes or right now with the Cardinals going out and getting a guy like Hopkins.

Love you t96 but sadly it ain't happening man.

He could come back for the playoffs. The real question is if the Panthers would want to risk that. I mean we held out McCaffrey basically all last year and I always felt like he could have played at times. I'd actually be really happy if the playoffs rolled around and the Panthers said you know what, yeah we'd love for you to be on the field to help us win but we need to make sure there is no risk of anything getting worse. We've managed injuries so poorly for so long that it would be a great step in the right direction.

None of the CBs are ideal FS candidates. Best thing we can do is wait for Burris to get healthy, but as much as I hate to say it, it really wouldn't be beneficial to move any of the corners to safety. Donte Jackson sounds good in theory but I don't think it would be smart. He's never played safety at any level to my knowledge, so it would be a midseason position change and we know how those work out, and I just don't think it fits his play-style.

We also almost certainly were going to draft Sewell until the Lions got him.
-
He's only been GM for not even a year... c'mon man. I can understand this statement if it was Year 3 of Fitterer and it was still a problem. But let's see how he does this upcoming offseason. Let's not forget where we were 2 years ago. An old as hell team with major holes EVERYWHERE. And we've done a great job filling them. OL is the hardest unit on a team to fix. So can we please wait and see before we act like the front office doesn't give a damn about it?

You mad man

Nah. Horn is legit. Why would it be too early to make a statement I believe wholeheartedly? His college tape was amazing. He played great in every game he played in this year. So yeah, I feel confident he's a future All-Pro. Sure, anything can happen. Maybe I'm wrong. But I feel confident in what I'm saying. Horn is a got damn stud. And guys with his athleticism and his man coverage ability are RARE.

And besides, Jaycee Horn is an All-Pro CB in the making. I don't think people realize how good he is in man coverage, but they will. I would have been cool with us drafting him even if we had already acquired Gilmore. We'll get the OL fixed. Ya'll really think a GM who is this proactive in fixing our issues is going to let the OL keep sucking for another season? Let's just be patient ya'll. I mean do ya'll remember how bad our secondary was in 2019? Look how fast we fixed it. Remember how bad our DL was in 2019? Look how fast we fixed it. We got this.

Hartsfield is a great athlete. Not sure if he'll ever realize that potential but his athleticism is top notch.
-
Cooper did not "absolutely burn" him. It was great coverage. Coop is just built different. And Dak has great ball placement.

Lmao back in the Rivera era, our solution to a problem was just to convert a player to a different position smh I don't even care if this move works out. I MUCH rather go down swinging like we give a damn than sitting around waiting to get clapped by the elite teams. I loveeeee aggressive FOs. But I have no doubt about this. Even if Gilmore isn't at his 2019 level, and he likely won't be, he's still going to be a solid man corner.

This is what people need to consider too. Regardless of what value you think he brings to this team... at least we now know he won't be making potential playoff opponents like the Packers and Buccaneers better. So not only do we potentially make ourselves better, but we stop others from getting better. This was a fantastic trade.

Teams just don't trade good OL. And if they do, they usually cost a 1st. A team like the Raiders giving Rodney Hudson away for pennies is rare. The best thing we can do this season is just build the hell out of this defense, keep McCaffrey healthy, and hope Darnold continues to play well.

BIG BALLS FITTERER

Kuechly is only 30.... insane.

Good thing we play Philly. That team hates Miles Sanders.

Daniel Jeremiah and Bucky Brooks believes we'll be fine

Our edge defenders are small. Hence why Gross-Matos getting healthy will be very important. Will also let Fox play on the edge more too. -
Tony Pollard was eating our a** up.

They won't do it, but I think they should make Hubbard the primary runner and utilize CMC how the Saints utilized Kamara all those years before this one. He doesn't need to run the ball 24 times in a game for us to get our money's worth. The goal should be to keep him below 300 touches in the regular season. Preferably around 270-280. Then in the postseason, unleash him however the hell you want to unleash him.

Unrelated to the injury But holy crap I didn't realize how jacked Shaq Thompson was until yesterday. Dude is swole.

The day after, I can't help but be upset with Snow...

It just wasn't a good match-up for our defense. Dak is insanely good against the blitz. And they are one of the 4 best running teams in the NFL, probably only after the Ravens/Titans/Browns. -
Don't sleep on the Vikings. They aren't 1-3 bad. Just a tough schedule to start (Browns, Seahawks, Cardinals, Bengals).
