  1. I'm not convinced that the NFL is any better or worse at developing QBs now than they were 20 years ago. I mean I'm sure there are some developmental issues at play, just not sure it is any different than it has been. The biggest difference IMO is that NFL teams are waaaaaaaay more willing to invest a 1st round pick into a QB now than they were 15-20 years ago. A guy like Colin Kaepernick would probably be a top 5 pick in 2025, whereas he went in the 2nd in 2011. Would a guy like Trey Lance go top 3 in 2010? Hell no. Look at Russell Wilson - he didn't go until the 3rd round. The standard for being a 1st round QB has dropped. So it may seem like we're seeing more high-profile busts at the position, but we're also seeing teams reach for QBs way more than they have in the past. Someone with Anthony Richardson's college resume doesn't go in the top 3 20 years ago.

    CJ Stroud

Jets pass defense is hard on almost all QBs. Stroud this year is still 66%, 11 TDs, 4 INTs, and over a 90 QB rating. Not as great as he was last year, but a sophomore slump in a year where a lot of offenses have regressed isn't a cause for concern.
  3. Has every team been catching the Panthers off guard?
  4. There is no way in the world the Panthers get a 3rd rounder for Diontae Johnson.
  5. Don't take the ML. Take the opposing team to cover the spread. And often this year, the spread has been set way too low for the opposing team. Like last week at this time, the Broncos were only favored by -6.5. Right now the Panthers are losing games by an average of 22 points per game. That might not be sustainable but ultimately betting on the opposing team to cover is just easy cash. If the line isn't -10 or higher, then it is a smash Case in point? Next week, the line is set at -6.5 Saints. This is a smash spot. We lost to them by 37 points in Week 1. Sure, they don't have Derek Carr, but will that really matter against us? Mariota, Bo Nix, and Caleb Williams have looked like HOFers against us. This is a get right game for New Orleans.
  6. Dave Canales looks and talks like a person who has lost confidence too.
  7. You can take "Panthers" out of the title and it is still true.
  8. Tremble made the right decision. He was wide open. He found the hole in the zone and sat in it. Bryce needs to be able to recognize that and should have just hit him in the chest.
  9. Dude it is easy money. It has legit been saving me every week. You have to be a FOOL to not make a play against the Panthers (if you already gamble that is)
  10. This doesn't even make sense. Bryce was benched. The organization has already given up on him. Not that I have a dog in this fight. I think everyone sucks. Which is why this team is on track to make HISTORY (not the good kind).
  11. That has to be one of the worst 4th down play-calls I have ever seen as a Panthers fan and that is saying A LOT
  12. Am I the only one somewhat excited to see how badly we get beaten?
  13. If you eliminate the obvious anomaly that is the Packers game, Bryce in his last 11 games: 2 TDs, 9 INTs, 60 QB Rating, 5 Y/A, 44 sacks, 7 fumbles, Panthers are scoring 8.3 PPG in that stretch. A "successful" game for Bryce Young will still be really freakin' bad. It ain't even worth fantasizing about.
  14. Bryce does not look like a guy who has even the tiniest bit of confidence and excitement left in him.
  15. I don't necessarily disagree. I'm just not sure the likelihood of it being worth it is all that high. It would likely take Fields at least 2-3 weeks to get comfortable with the playbook, which means we're not getting anything out of him until Week 12 at the earliest. You could point to Malik Willis and the Packers and how quickly he was able to get on the field and produce, but LaFleur is just that good of a coach and Packers are a much better team than us. Same with Dobbs and Kevin O'Connell last year. Even if Fields is good, what is the payoff for the Panthers? They would still have to negotiate a contract with him after the season, the same position they would be in if they didn't make a trade for Bryce. And it isn't like we're anywhere close to a playoff team, so having a one-year rental at QB doesn't provide any benefit to us. Don't get me wrong, I agree somewhat with the thought process. I'd love to swap Bryce out for Fields. But considering the circumstances, it just makes more sense to stick with Bryce as our back-up.
  16. It would make more sense to wait until the offseason and negotiate a contract with him given he will be a free agent. And before anyone says, "why would he sign here?" Well, we are one of the few places he would start day one, assuming we don't draft a QB.
  17. 2008 Lions and 2017 Browns would wax us. Browns finished with a -176 point differential. Lions -249. Panthers are already at -133, on pace for -323.
  18. This is the worst football team of all-time
  19. Panthers gotta run the ball more
  20. We're getting dogged by Marcus Mariota and a crappy Commanders defense LMFAO
