  1. It's great we got another garbage time TD, but c'mon, we've had how many snaps inside the 10 yard line in the first 2 weeks and the only pass we've thrown to T-Mac was a horribly misplaced back shoulder fade that he never stood a chance at catching?!?!?! Throw him some corner jump balls and let the kid go to work
  2. Why are we throwing a jump ball to XL when T-Mac has 1 on 1 coverage on the other side of the field?!?!?!?!@?!?!
  3. The funny thing is I'm actually really happy we took him instead of Ladd If we took Ladd instead, I'm quite sure there's no way we end up taking T-Mac this year.
  4. And yet, he can only muster up 1 catch for 5 yards to his best player in the 2nd half, it doesn't even make sense.
  5. For me, it's not even the lack of production as much as the two massively glaring mental mistakes. Not getting his 2nd foot down last week and then walking back to the LOS at the end of the first half today. Back to back weeks with mistakes no college players ever make, completely unacceptable.
  6. And this is exactly why we're going to screw up the next hire, because Tepper is so rich and wants to throw his money around. Any coach who is taking a job because it pays well, especially if/when fired, is NOT the coach you want to hire. You want the guy who turns down jobs waiting for the right opportunity, because these guys know they usually only get one shot at being a HC and if it goes poorly quickly, they'll never get the chance again.
  7. Yes and no If you keep firing GMs and HCs after just a season in charge, you're never going to be able to attract quality talent to replace them. He had no choice but to give both Morgan and Canales a second season with Bryce from that standpoint alone. If they all suck again this year, which they clearly are, then he can clean house and it won't be a bad look.
  8. The Tepper hate has jumped the shark Yea, he made some early mistakes, and sure, pushing for Bryce was terrible. But realistically, ever since then, he's actually made some decent decisions, and by all accounts, has stayed out of the football side of things. Anyone who thought we were a good team going into the season was just fooling themselves, I tried to say it all summer that we still had way too many holes to even be a playoff contender. But still going after Tepper right now is just dumb, sorry, poo this post away as I'm sure it will be.
  9. That throw is EXACTLY why Bryce isn't an NFL QB He's too small and had to throw a jump pass that he doesn't have the arm to make, so it was low and caused the incompletion (even if it still should have been caught, but a better pass and it's an easy catch). He doesn't have the physical traits you need to succeed at this level, it was clear as day on his college tape, I can't believe how glaringly obvious that is
  10. XL walking back to the LOS is all I needed to see, time to trade him, he doesn’t have the mental game, every week we still have him hurts his trade value Sorry, but that is so gross to be doing that there in that situation, guy is a joke
  11. B..b..b..b..but I was told in the lead up to the draft that T-Mac can’t get YAC
  12. They don't Sunday Ticket is for out of market games, it's pretty simple. You get access to every game that you can't watch locally on Fox or CBS. If it's on one of those two where you live, you won't get it, if it's not, you do. It's the literal reason Sunday Ticket was invented, to get the "out of market" games, I don't understand why people seem to still struggle to understand that.
  13. I haven't given up on him yet either, but one play from Week 1 has me now severely questioning what his ceiling might be. Not getting his feet in bounds on a pretty standard play was really damning, it wasn't even a toe tap type of catch right on the sideline, he was catching it in stride, there is absolutely zero reason any NFL player, even one just on a practice squad, isn't aware enough to drag that 2nd foot in that situation. That one play alone has me seriously concerned, more than any of his drops issues last year, because those things can be worked on and improved. If you're not getting the basic mental stuff like that down when you played 5 years in college (yea, I know 1 foot vs 2, meh) and in your 2nd year in the NFL, then I'm not sure you have what it takes between the ears to ever be a high level player. At worst, that one play made me already put Coker as the clear #2 the second he steps back onto the field for us, it soured me on XL that much.
  14. If a Sunday game is blocked for you, it means it's on Fox or CBS on TV for you where you live
  15. Tell me where I said all the losses are his fault As all I said was he is our #1 problem right now, just like it is for every single team in today’s NFL if you don’t have a long term quality solution at QB.
  16. It wouldn't matter if we had the 85 Bears defense, Bryce is a former #1 overall pick who hasn't played playoff caliber football in his entire career, so yea, he's going to be the main discussion point. It's the NFL in 2025, if you don't have a QB, that is your real problem, no matter what other problems you have.
  17. Start who? Brycen? C'mon now Renfrow can't start on the outside, so unless you're starting Brycen or a week 1 inactive in Horn Jr, until Coker comes back, XL has to be the starter by default. Again, this is why you don't trade Thielen, because yes, we had depth before, but depth is only good when you don't lose multiple of your top options, and Thielen and Coker were going to be our #2 and #3 this year, then we lost them 48 hours apart. And when Coker is back, he's the immediate starter on the outside, which I think can even be good for XL, as he could do well from the slot if you scheme some easy passes across the middle to him to let him then use his speed and strength to make plays with the ball in his hands.
  18. Do they not count XL not getting his 2nd foot in as a drop? In a true sideline toe tap type of catch, I don't think it should be ruled a drop as that's just a difficult play to make anyways. But when he's just catching a ball in stride and takes 2 full huge steps as he's catching the ball so that his 2nd foot comes down out of bounds, to me, that should be considered a drop, as your below average college WR would have been able to get their 2nd foot down in that situation.
  19. Yes and no I'm not using it as a way of saying "he's going to end up with these stats at the end of the season" But more of a way of saying to the people who are saying he didn't impress them, that they're not seeing the forest through the trees. I'd bet those same people who are saying they weren't impressed, if you had told them before the game, that he'd end up with 85 catches for 1,150 yards this year, they'd say that was a great rookie season (because it would be). So I'm just pointing out that it's a bit disingenuous to say this game didn't impress them, but knowing they would be impressed by that season long stat line if he had the same output every week.
  20. Nothing like going into your Week 3 home opener by benching your supposed franchise QB and putting in your 40 year old backup QB the week of that game. Zero chance Bryce isn't the starter in Week 3 unless he gets hurt next year
  21. Hopefully about at least 13, potentially all 16 more Ride this bitch out on the rims and if we're in the running for the #1 pick, keep riding them, if we're not but still a Top 10 pick, go for a tire change and give Hooker a start or two and just see what might happen. Not expecting him to show he can be a long time solution in that situation, but if there isn't a great QB option for where we might be picking, it could let us pass on drafting a QB, use the draft capital to build the defense and give him a shot in 26 with a new backup who can start if it goes poorly.
