  1. "The Washington Football Team listed receiver Curtis Samuel as a non-participant after he tweaked his groin, Rapoport reported. "He wasn't feeling as well as we hoped … If Curtis plays, great. If not, great," coach Ron Rivera said, via NFL Network's Kim Jones." (Source: https://www.nfl.com/news/nfl-roundup-latest-league-news-from-wednesday-sept-8) What's more shocking, Samuel is already hurt? Or Rivera's attitude on his pricey acquisition?
  2. Awe how cute, People think Pickles 2.0 is going to win him his first football game.
  3. There is only way one to prove the accuracy of this simulation......do the Packers lose the NFC Championship??
  4. Nuh uh, "super spreader events" are only when republicans get together (sarcasm) There's college football, pro wrestling, pro football, pro basketball, pro baseball, concerts. All jam packed full.
  5. Its things like this that really made me appreciate Smitty's commentary. I've been watching football for over 20 years and never put much thought into how much a QB is affected by bouncing on his feet. Smitty also blew me away talking about how and when to use your arms to catch a pass, like it extends your radius when you are near the sidelines as opposed to hitting the numbers and making the catch that way. Seems like common sense now but was mind blowing at the time.
  6. I really think his name should autochange to Bill Cosby. Tired of hearing about this jabroni.
  7. Did you know, before Josh Johnson was signed, Jamison Crowder was the only player for the Jets to have thrown a regular season pass in the NFL?
  8. Agreed, but I think it could help him see pinpoint windows when he is making risky throws. I don't remember where I read it, but Jameis once told everyone he couldn't see anything at all. Like at school, everything was a blur even if he was in the very front or very back of the class. If all he was seeing was blurs and no hands or numbers, this could have really effected him in the short game and made it almost impossible for him to see where to place the ball on deep shots. His new set of eyes could deter him from making as bad of decisions. (Or maybe not, maybe he will just keep doing dumb stuff lol)
  9. Hard to say, Lasik may have really helped him. I would have rather had him than Teddy. He would have been A HELL of a lot cheaper, and would have been extremely entertaining and equally frustrating. I can see the record being the same, but instead of checkdowns like Teddy, he would throw interceptions to lose 4th quarter games.
  10. Piling up on rookies and draft picks really helps too. When veteran players are demanding large contracts, they already have their replacement drafted for a rookie deal. Sorting through 10-12 rookies to see if they will contribute is a HELL of a lot cheaper and WAY less riskier than signing free agents.
  11. Just think how much we would have saved if we didn't sign Bridgewater but signed (say) Jameis Winston instead. Oh, and didn't sign Kwann Short to the deal we did.
  12. Folks against it use that as their current excuse "People with the vax are getting it, so why bother?" Look where that got Perryman lol.
  13. Exactly. Why do you think travel restrictions to and from Europe were so eased conveniently through tourism months, and are now being enforced again? Its not "Americans are a risk for Delta", its "you made your money and now time to go back into safe mode"
  14. “On Saturday, Cam Newton traveled to a Club-approved medical appointment that required him to leave the New England area,” the team said in a statement. “He received daily Covid tests, which were all negative. Due to a misunderstanding about tests conducted away from NFL facilities, and as required by the NFL-NFLPA protocols, Cam will be subject to the five-day entry cadence process before returning to the facility. Cam will continue participating virtually in team activities and return to the club facility on Thursday, August 26.” https://www.patspulpit.com/2021/8/23/22637920/cam-newton-misunderstanding-covid-19-protocols-patriots-nfl-practice Just eyeballing it, it appears he may have gotten his Covid test while he was at the medical appointment instead of getting it at the team facility.
  15. I think we kicked the tires on him a bit already didn't we? Like he came to a day of training camp and the team had no interest.
  16. Much MUCH less likely to spread if every single person is also vaccinated. The unvaxxed person (or persons) make it a liability to continue spreading between each other. That's the version I understand anyways. I still for the life of me cannot figure out why 50,000 people are allowed in a stadium if they have a vaccine card without having to have a negative test (meaning they may be positive and can spread to unvaxxed people) and are in the same vicinity of unvaxxed people who have a negative test. All of this with zero social distancing or masks. If this was as serious as they are trying to make it out to be, everyone should prove their vaccination, have a negative test, and still social distance with masks once inside the stadium.
  17. It is also an excellent way to keep the cap down, having lots of players on rookie contracts, wheeling and dealing players that are going to demand a lot of cap space to remain on the team.
  18. I am pretty sure this way a Rivera joke..... Right??
  19. I imagine that year on the couch didn't do Christian Miller any favors. It made no sense to me to sit out for COVID concerns. The players were tested regularly and were around other people who were very quickly isolated if they did test positive. Seemed a lot safer to be around regularly tested and isolated people than it did to be around whoever the hell else it was you were around at that time, and whoever they came in contact with too. Anyways.....why do I have a strong feeling many of them sat out and now refuse to take the vaccine? This whole situation has caused everyone to lose their damn minds. Also, why does this list have "Las Vegas Raiders" as a player sitting out this year? lol
  20. Maybe somebody "stepped on his widdle foot" like Perryman
  21. Totally "complete" after adding Gronk, Brown, Fournette, and a buncha other dudes I am sure I am forgetting.
  22. Both correct, but not being vaxxed didn't do him any favors no matter how you look at it.
  23. Tell that to the massive crowds of people at NFL games now with their paper vaccination cards (and not being tested) and negative covid test results for people that aren't.
