Saints place Michael Thomas on Covid 19 list
cardiackat88. replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Have you not seen all the sporting events with packed stadiums and maskless people? I am not trying to attack you, I am on the same side as you, and I have seen you comment in TB about this a lot too. I have a skewed perception of all this, because I have been trapped working overseas since it all started. It amazes me all of the facebook posts with massive amounts of maskless people and the sporting events with lots of maskless people in attendance. We know now that a vaccinated person can still contract COVID (which still really blows my mind that it was a shocking revaluation to some people and was their next excuse to refuse the vax). So knowing that, why do they not have to have a negative test to attend the event as well, knowing full well they will be crammed in with unvaccinated, maskless people? It just sends really mixed messages to me. I think that in order to attend an event, one should have to be vaccinated, have a negative test, wear a mask, and still social distance. -
Saints place Michael Thomas on Covid 19 list

Why was this SO much less of a problem last year before vaccines? Oh...maybe its because masks where suddenly lifted out of nowhere and no one felt the need to get vaxxed afterwards. The stadiums full of maskless people at wrestling, basketball, baseball, and football events don't help either. -
Yall realize he was kicking for the Texans yesterday right?

I still can't forgive him for letting Kirk friggin Cousins destroy the defense for a come-from-behind victory last year calling prevent.

Brown and Gross-Matos sack. This is really cool.
cardiackat88. replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
It wasn't really directed at you. There seems to be a ton of people on here who think if Brown doesn't put up 9 sacks a year then he is a total but. I reread the post, and you are right. If he has that much success then he will always be employed. -
I know we are talking about Qbs (mostly) but a few years ago I saw an interview with Chris Johnson and MY GOD was that man the dumbest sounding person I have ever heard speak. It will always be burned into my memory.

I had said this before in a different thread, but; I have the feeling Djax will be in a similar situation as Curtis Samuel. A solid player but just not the guy to continue forward with. A "B" student who is in a contract year. Unlike Samuel, I am betting that Fitty gets something for Djax, maybe a trade before the deadline or franchise tag and trade. SOMEthing....not keep him, but not just let him walk like Samuel.

I am still baffled why people think that DTs have a minimum of 5 sacks a year to be successful. -
That was on a weird kick that didn’t make it very far for some reason.

Agreed, always much clearer picture. I have always associated that with the AFC being more finesse and pansy and the NFC being nitty gritty and roughneck.

You say this as if we are supposed to believe you have ever gotten a woman off in your entire life.

I haven't seen anyone say it yet, but I think the returners for both punting and kicking were just god awful. They went nowhere and got tackled quickly. Not sure if its the returner, the entire squad, or both.

Jets Depth Chart (Week 1 Matchup)
cardiackat88. replied to CarolinaLivin's topic in Carolina Panthers
Wow.... The only player on this entire depth chart to have ever attempted a regular season pass in the NFL is Jamison Crowder. And I thought he was on the COVID list? -
So does Joe Bidens new law effect NFL players?
cardiackat88. replied to Snake's topic in Carolina Panthers
Well, there might be soon be a lot of openings on USAjobs.gov if you can ever get that magical myth of a unicorn to ever hire you anywhere. I am a contractor and there seem to be a ton of people talking big about never getting it. We shall see... -
Jets WR Crowder is OUT for week 1 vs Panthers
cardiackat88. replied to SgtJoo's topic in Carolina Panthers
Did you know, Jamison Crowder is the only player on the entire Jets roster to have ever attempted a regular season pass in the NFL besides Josh Johnson? Josh Johnson...I swear he was starting for the Bucs 10 years ago and already had 10 years in the league by then. -
The Panthers are also currently undefeated baby!

What are you expecting from Derrick Brown this year??
cardiackat88. replied to JABANOG's topic in Carolina Panthers
I am hoping a lot of this is sarcasm. These conversations always lead to the fact that OL and DL (defensive tackles in particular) are not stat stuffers or eye-catchers. A DT or OL may be putting on a dominant performance, but at the end of the game, you are not going to talk about how one OL put on a show or how one DT was so dominate it changed the outcome of the game (yea I get it, Aaron Donald and maybe an exception or two). For the most part, a lineman (offensive or defense) is not going to be named as the player of the game. If anything, most lineman's names are thrown out after the game after a noticeably bad performance. Ask yourself, of all the years watching football, how many times did you say "that OL/DT really put on a hell of a show today!" -
This too. Hurney was liable to pay him like a #1 and be stuck with him and his current injuries (and likely later ones) and contract while losing Robby and DJ over the years due to it. All this while losing out on Marshall

I can't speak for everyone else, but I am not mad or upset about anything. I think that some things will never change, like Rivera shrugging it off instead of iterating how important he believes Samuel (who they are not getting on a bargain bin deal) can be to their offense and that he is excited to have Samuel healthy again as soon as possible.
-
Did you totally miss the part about Rivera?
-
How many times has that story been told? (Insert Samuel with practically any applicable name) Over and over and over and over and over........
-
I am not happy he's injured or anything, I wish him a very speedy recovery. It was just super, super predictable. Big contract signing with a new team by a guy who seems to constantly be injured and is now injured again at the beginning of the season.

I watched Hap & Leonard also, and really enjoyed it. Some of my favorite Omar moments are when he robs the clock shop. In that scene, he robs a known drug dealer who works on clocks, and then asks the drug dealer how much he owes him for the work he performed on his clock, then pays him the amount in full.

Curtis E. Flush?
