  1. Yesterday and the first game against the Browns are the only games I've been able to watch in my area. I've been watching the NFL for a long time. If anyone here thinks that you can make a qb change and this team will start winning immediately....well, I have to tell you...I think you're delusional. You need a hell of a lot more than a new qb. Your O line is maybe the worst in the NFL. This is from watching yesterday. They didn't seem to be that bad against the Browns. Personally, I think Mayfield should be benched...for his own good. Hell...for all I know, maybe Darnold is a good qb. You could certainly never know behind this line, and with these receivers. At this point, you could put Aaron Rodgers back there, and it wouldn't matter. Dump Mayfield....dump Darnold... fire the coach ( he really does suck ). But, whatever you do....don't draft a good rookie qb and stick him in there with the hope it will turn things around. You guys have big problems in all areas. There is no quick fix here. This is a wasted season. Sorry...just reality.
  2. Yeah...the Cleveland media are well known for their accurate assessments of athletes ( rolling my eyes )
  3. Like who was advertising? You got Mayfield for almost nothing. He's a hell of a lot better than what you had. He is not a hall of fame q.b. His problems are in his head, not in his ability. The guy has a fragile ego, and that's why he's inconsistent. He struggles as soon as he has a few incompletions. But...once he gets his confidence, he's hard to beat. The bottom line is he led the Panthers on a come back and put them in a position to win. Brisset didn't beat you yesterday.....the defense and the penalties on that last drive by the Browns beat you. Yeah...you can say "if he wouldn't have played like crap in the first half we would have won". I would say if your defense would have played better, you would have won. Also...who thought their rookie kicker would make a 58 yard f.g. with the game on the line?
  4. Well...when he's talking to opposing teams before the games, and telling them to "come and get him" from day 1, and pulling the crap of wearing his $10k watch in games, not to mention dropping more balls than he's catching....what do you think?
  5. Okay...I see. You're taking my claim that when Mayfield makes a statement and "owns ' it and backs it up, to mean, that he wins every game that he trash talks. What was meant, was that he backs up what he says....does not weasel out of it by denying saying it. Whew....I'm exhausted.
  6. I guess your referring to my stating that Mayfield will "own" whatever he states, and back it up. Maybe...and I'm guessing here... you are taking the position that Mayfield doesn't "own" his remarks because you are of the opinion that he lied about making that comment. That may be your opinion, but it sure as Hell is not fact. Why would he deny it, if he said it? My opinion is that the reporter was all excited and chose the words, he agreed to it, and she embellished the truth. But...that's just my opinion.
  7. I'm not avoiding anything....exactly what statement do you think was factually incorrect? If you think I insulted you, I apologize....or maybe I insulted the writer by assuming he was a Bengals fan. I don't know...but if you're going to point out my being wrong, please be specific. It's difficult for me, because I could be wrong once in a while.
  8. My focus was really on the writer of the article you posted. His attempt was to point out how Mayfield talked trash to some Bengals fans, then got beat by the Bengals.....6 out of 7 isn't bad. Your focus was to make Mayfield look like a fool. Sometimes he does, no doubt. He's still the starting qb for your team ( assuming you're a Panthers fan). My opinion is that he'll take your team a lot farther than it's been in a while. Love him or hate him....question his maturity. There's no denying he's a competitor and is the best chance for the Panthers to have a winning season.
  9. Fact: In 7 games vs. the Bengals, Mayfield is 6 wins and 1 loss. His average QBR for all 7 games is 113.8. How in Hell was my statement factually incorrect??
  10. No doubt written by a Bengals fan. Why didn't he mention the fact that Mayfield has a 6 and 1 record against the Bungles?
  11. You obviously know nothing about Mayfield. If he states something, he owns it and backs it up,
  12. Yeah....they also had plenty of time to decide if Watson was a good idea....or , if OBJ was worth it. You can't use this argument when the Cleveland Browns are involved.
  13. The last thing you need is OBJ
  14. Baker alienated a lot of the media and some fans with his arrogance. I think he has learned a lot from the Cleveland experience. All the crap regarding Baker being a locker room cancer is just that...crap. I have yet to read / hear any of his teammates criticize him. Of course, the Prima Dona, washed up, OBJ probably would still whine about not getting the ball when he's wide open. Based on what I watched with OBJ, he was more likely to drop the ball, than catch it. I posted here when you got Mayfield, that a lot of you would be surprised. Well....it's happening. Don't believe what you hear coming out of Cleveland. The last 20+ years of history with that team should be a good gauge of what's going on there....not to mention the most recent dysfunction.
  15. You guys can believe this moron if you want. You will always have Mayfield haters. Maybe it's his cocky attitude...I don't know, for sure. All I can say, is that the ones who hate him the most are the fans of the Ravens, the Steelers, and the Bengals. As a Browns' fan, I had to deal with the remarks of Colin Cowherd since Mayfield was drafted. Cowherd may be gloating at the moment, but there were many times over the last 4 seasons, that he had to eat his words. Baker may have a few ego problems, and he lets the media get under his skin, but to say what this guy is saying...well...he must be desperate followers.
