  1. That is why Adam Silver started to fine players who take advantage of it. The NFL added the ability to challenge PI calls and then removed it a year later, why?
  2. Run a post route and if the DB gets to close to you flail your arms up and wait for that yellow flag to get thrown. Both leagues have this problem because they are making harder to play defense in the name of safety. One league is actively trying to find a way to combat the issue. The other seems to be getting worse year after year.
  3. David Stern wanted to change the image of the NBA in the early 2000s after the malice in the palace incident. Fights on the court were nearly a nightly occurrence up to that point. Both the NBA and NFL have made major changes to their rules in the name of player safety that you could argue are making the leagues “soft”.
  4. That’s is from 5+ years ago. Adam Silver has been doing as much as he can to get flopping like that out of the game. If you flop now you can expect a fine to be coming your way in the next few days. Players will do whatever they can to gain a competitive advantage over another team. Just like in the NFL. There is no consistency with things like pass interference and holding. Hell if NFL players are starting to flop to get calls. It happens at least once a game now where a receiver will flail his arms and fall down mid route trying to get a PI call after the slightest contact.
  5. This is arguably the most fun/entertaining Hornets team we’ve seen in like 20 years. It’s not too late to hop back on board.
  6. I don’t care what the tape shows. Avoid Alabama QBs like the plague. There hasn’t been a franchise QB to come out of that school since the 50s or 60s.
  7. Lamelo's basketball instincts are making him an actual respectable defender. When he gets more acclimated to the defensive rotations and assignments, while putting more weight on his frame he is going to be a nightmare for smaller one and two guards. If I am not mistaken he is top 5 in the league in steals currently. and to think his biggest knock coming into the draft was that he couldn't play defense. Crazy.
  8. This team is fuging incredible. Absolutely no quit in them. Have no idea how we managed to win that. 115-123 with 56 seconds left. Hornets win 127-126. LETS fuging GOOOO!
  9. If you keep everything you were going to trade and don't win a championship in that same time frame you will also probably get your ass fired. Do you go with the proven commodity or risk it to chance?
  10. So what if you don't make any moves and stay the course and still suck? This is like choosing a mystery box vs a million bucks. Some would squander away the million and not have much to show for it and others could turn the million into a billion. Mystery box could have a billion in it but it also could turn out to be dog poo.
  11. Every QB in this draft is a huge risk outside of Trevor. Just stay at 8 and take who falls. If the top 4 QBs are gone then draft the best LT available. I rather live through another season of Teddy than knowing fuging Ron Rivera cost us a first round pick and then some for one meaningless win. Only reason this team should be considered giving up draft capital is for a proven commodity.
  12. He got that deal because of the Buffalo Carolina connection. Only team I can see that would offer more than what I imagine the extension Samuel turned down would be the Giants for the same reasons.
  13. Samuel may end up being much cheaper than everyone is thinking. This FA WR class is pretty deep and talented. Samuel is like borderline top 10 in this FA class mainly because he is still only 25.
  14. Only way I'd be ok with the team trading draft capital is for a proven, top tier QB. Watson > Dak > hope Wilson/Fields/Lance are there at 8. If none of those options work take the best LT available and try again next year. I'd still take a flier on a mid round QB in this draft and hope Fitterer finds the next Russell Wilson.
  15. Na the NFL just sucks now. If the Panthers were to ever leave the Carolinas I’d be done watching the NFL.
  16. So Houston is going to acquire the 3rd pick in a deal with Miami and then turn around and trade the pick to us in a trade back scenario? I’ll have some of whatever you’re smoking.
  17. Keep the players you invested draft picks into. Terry is the odd man out. I really like him as a player but moving him allows Ball to move into the starting lineup and Terry's salary will help match a potential trade for a big man.
  18. Jared Goff is an average starting QB in the NFL and is being paid like he is top 5. Year one of his albatross of an extension starts this season. Rams made out like bandits getting out from under that terrible deal and got an upgrade at QB in the process. If the Rams weren't trading Goff to the guy who scouted him in college they would have never been able to move him.
  19. Mac Jones is basically Will Grier. Change my mind.
