  1. If both teams are completely healthy this years team wins just based on the increased talent on defense. On the other hand some how the coaching on this team has regressed some how even with the increase in talent. Just having Tahir Whitehead on the 2020 team gives the edge to 2021.
  2. 1. Hurney is a terrible GM who loves to give big money to running backs. It’s been his MO his entire career. 2. Rhule convinced everyone this team was ahead of schedule and was ready to compete now. Also outside of DJ he is the only other proven receiving threat on the team. 3. Same as part one of #2 and the 5th year option gave us another year of a starting QB cheaper than the league average. 4. Rhule clearly believes you win in the NFL with a strong defense. This past free agency period was pretty bad for quality linemen and quite a few guys got overpaid. We ended up paying two mediocre players deals that are below the market average and because they were once first round picks Rhule thought he could coach them up to NFL starter standards. It clearly backfired but at least we’re not paying them 10+ million a year. I would have loved Slater but I also am fine with Signing Armstead come free agency.
  3. QB is the most important position in football. I don’t think any team would want to invest into a QB who could potentially miss time due to covid and any moment. Lamar Jackson and Kirk Cousins are currently the only two non vaxxed starting QBs in the league.
  4. You say that like there is a huge contract difference. Besides the top 3 corners that are major outliers with 100 million deals (Donte isn’t anywhere near the level of Jalen Ramsey) the top paid corners are roughly within a million or 2 in annual salary. The high tier corners are getting 16 to 17 per on average while the top safeties are getting 14 to 15.
  5. Sean Chandler and Sam Franklin are not NFL caliber players and would not be rostered on any other team. Funny how they are both Matt Rhule's Temple guys and they're both dogshit. Juston Burris is a decent player but would be much better suited as a top tier backup. Moving Chinn to SS would allow him to utilize his skill set more. He isn't the greatest in coverage but would be well above average for a strong safety. We would be able to utilize him in the box more to help out in run defense. He was so good last year in his box safety hybrid role and it just seems like another case of the staff mismanaging players. He's an average free safety but would be a pro bowl caliber strong safety. That brings us to Donte. He has improved his tackling tremendously (aside from the occasional whiffs that we were accustomed to seeing in years past) and is a big hitter for a guy his size. His speed is among the best in the league giving him fantastic range. With his size as a corner though, he sometimes gets bodied by larger receivers where even with great coverage and positioning, he isn't able to make plays on the ball allowing untimely receptions. Having a fast, ball hawking free safety would do wonders for this team, especially with his ability to create turnovers. A starting secondary of Gilmore, Donte, Chinn and Horn would be one of the best in the league. Donte may not want to make the switch but it is one of those situations where players need to make sacrifices for the betterment of the team. Idk, just seems like it makes too much sense which is why it will probably never happen.
  6. Lol. In his presser today he was sweating like a pig. Coincidence?
  7. Are we going to ask PJ to be the offensive coordinator? This offense has sucked under Teddy, now Darnold, and will also suck under PJ. Until the guy calling the plays changes or we get and upgrade at 4/5 offense line positions we are going to continue to see more of the same regardless of who’s under center.
  8. He looked better in run blocking but once again the entire interior line looked like ass. Also Brady kept abandoning the run when it was the only thing working.
  9. We had the same problems with Teddy and now with Darnold. The only common denominator there is Brady. God I hope LSU hires him.
  10. It is fishy but I’m trying to stay positive and hope it had something to do with lack of practice this week. I know they said the moved was made looking to the future but he was a top 10 pick less than 2 years ago. Like I said, if he isn’t active next week even with a guy like Gilmore coming off the PUP, then I will start to raise the red flags.
  11. He’s a new player who is still trying to learn and fit into the defense and he wasn’t able to fully practice until Friday. I don’t understand why you think it’s outlandish to have him sit a game in this situation.
  12. And all I’m saying is that it was probably a smart decision considering it’s a new player who was coming off an injury and was only able to practice once before a game. If he practices all next week still doesn’t get a jersey on game day then there may be cause for concern.
  13. So all of the reports of his shoulder injury and not practicing until Friday we’re a lie?
  14. Yeah probably because he was limited every day but Friday. CMC came back to practice now he’s on IR. I rather them not rush guys back and have them keep piling up on IR or the injury report.
  15. He got injured against Philly and was limited in practice all week. I’m sure they didn’t want another McCaffrey situation with a player they just traded a 3rd rounder for.
  16. Let start a go fund me to hire a pilot to fly a banner around LSU saying to Hire Joe Brady.
  17. He gave him all of the secrets to be a successful coach in the NFL 3 decades ago and it shows. It’s not 1990 anymore.
  18. Yeah you can tell by the traded and stuff that we’re made that Rhule convinced Fitt they were ready to compete.
  19. All good. It would be like how when we hired Norv to be OC he was also the assistant head coach to Rivera if I remember correctly. This staff desperately needs something like that.
  20. Our 3 main coaches no legitimate NFL coaching experience. Matt Rhule has one year as an assistant offensive line coach. He was an assistant so I’m not even going to count that. I am talking about the coaches who actually make the decisions.
  21. This coaching staff is continuously getting out coached and take a advantage of by experienced NFL coaches. They don’t seem to be learning and adjusting and it is costing us games. Is Tepper really going to wait 7 years for our staff to get adjusted to the NFL?
  22. When you’re this heavily invested into the defense they can’t blow games like this. 200 something rushing yards and over 400 passing. What will the excuse be this time? Also Brady needs to be fired after today’s garbage.
  23. Is TMJ not playing today? Nevermind there he is.
