DJax needs to be our FS
-
From all indications Darnold was a Rhule decision. Rhule’s entire shtick is finding lower tier players who have certain physical traits he deems important and developing them into average to above average football players. That’s how he was able to rebuild programs without having the type of recruitment larger, more popular schools have. Unfortunately he is now dealing with very wealthy young adults instead of broke 18 year old college students. That approach is not working for him in the NFL and it is hurting the team, but he’s been too damn stubborn to change his ways. looks like Tepper has had enough and he had to intervene. It’s time to let Fitterer do his job and Rhule just needs to stick to coaching. Hopefully the days of overpaying reclamation projects are behind us and we can start signing actual NFL talent.

I think Rhule and Brady got sucked into the Adam Gase QB killer mentality after seeing what transpired with Tannehill. They probably have giant coaching egos thinking they could turn Sam into a top 15 or 20 QB and have him another year for under 20million rather then having to pay him a new contract after they worked their magic and Sam balled the fug out. Welp, Rhule and Brady so far have shown they’re in over their heads and the college to NFL transition is much harder then they could have imagined. Sam Darnold also proved he sucks ass with or without Adam Gase and this entire situation backfired hilariously bad in their faces. You would have thought after Teddy they would have learned their lesson but their ego’s are too big and they put all the blame on Teddy. To be fair Teddy shot the blame right back at them. Tepper on the other hand has clearly had enough of their poo and seems to understand most fans have as well.

For the first time in my life and in Carolina Panthers history…
Eazy-E replied to Bronn's topic in Carolina Panthers
I like Cam the person and the football player. I didn’t care for Teddy or Darnold before they became Panthers and they sure as hell didn’t change my opinion of them as Panthers. Like I said in the main Cam thread, idc if he plays poorly or balls out, this team and organization are just more fun when he is apart of it. It just never sat right with me how it ended. Same went for Steve Smith. I’m happy and proud as a fan that they’re both back as a part of this franchise. I hope this is the last last stop for Cam and he retires a Panther like he and we all deserve. -
Idgaf either, we can cry together as men. Also the end had me on an emotional rollercoaster. Was totally unexpected and funny af.

Carolina Panthers agree to terms with Cam Newton.
Eazy-E replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don’t even care if he plays Like poo. I love Cam Newton and want him to retire a Panther. He deserves that after putting himself and his body on the line for this franchise for a decade. Welcome home you beautiful SOB. -
The Panthers….. not an attractive destination for top shelf talent?
Eazy-E replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Oh yeah and winning cures all. Right now we’re a loser franchise that’s never had back to back winning seasons. If it weren’t for Gettleman, Hurney, and Rivera this team would have probably maintained relevancy after 2015. -

Good lord you are dumb. Swap the Rams and Panthers rosters and Stafford chooses Charlotte every time. The guy is in his 30s and has never won a playoff game. Why would he ever choose a rebuilding team over a team that is built to win now? -
I’m not an auto mechanic but I still know how to rebuild a car engine and do most things a mechanic can do. Most people aren’t born with the athletic gifts to become professional athletes. Just because they’re not pro ball players doesn’t mean they don’t know what they’re talking about. Some fans understand offensive and defensive football concepts and can watch games and clearly see right and wrong / good and bad. Why do you think analytics have become so prevalent in sports. I mean people pay money for PFF for fugs sake. I could be the smartest football person out there but if I’m not a freak of nature athlete I’m never going to become a professional football player. There are plenty of NFL players that get by on nothing more than their athleticism and are dumber than a box of rocks when it come to understanding football. That’s why guys flame out all the time after getting drafted high because they blew people away at the combine but still can’t grasp their playbooks after 4 years.

So this was or wasn’t a hospital ball by Darnold?
Eazy-E replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Hate to knock DJ but if he was actually going 100% to sell his route he would have practically been in the end zone by the time that ball got to Robby. -
Luke looked average his rookie year when we had him playing outside linebacker. Once Beason went down and Luke moved inside, we all got to witness the GOAT being born. It’s great to see Shaq flourish in his new role.
-
Watching Perryman be the primary linebacker in this defense would have given you Tahir Whitehead ptsd flashbacks. Two totally different defensive schemes that ask the linebackers to do different things. Whitehead had back to back 100+ tackle seasons with the Raiders before we signed him. Also Perryman can’t cover worth a poo. What you see from Carter is likely what Perryman would have looked like in this defense which is why he was expendable.
-
Except he is. We run primarily a 3-4 defense now with Burns and Reddick as our edge rushers. That leaves Shaq and Carter as our two MLBs.

Official my god how have we sunk so low Panthers at Falcons thread
Eazy-E replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Getting embarrassed by the Giants last week was the dagger for me. Lose out and give this franchise some hope. Still going to watch though. It’s Hornets and Hurricanes season now. -
Reminder: Panthers can opt out of CMC contract at the end of 2022 season.

Piss poor management/coaching. -
Where Are We Really -- One Season and 7 Games Into It...
Eazy-E replied to SetfreexX's topic in Carolina Panthers
You left out the part about how our coaching staff is regressing at an alarming rate. Matt Rhule looks lost on game days, our offensive coordinator is in so far over his head that opposing defenses know our plays before we even snap the ball. Phil Snow has the most talent to work with on the team yet doesn’t seem to know how to properly utilize them or when to use proper formations. Not using DTs or 3 man fronts in our 3-4 against Dallas when they’re gashing us in the run game. Not blitzing against Philly when they weren’t able to pass the ball against us all day. Playing soft zone against a depleted Giants offense allowing them to eat us alive with quick slants and seam routes exposing the holes in our soft zone. 23 games in and our coaches have shown zero improvements and look to be getting worse. They’re getting exposed and out coached by some of the worst coaches in the league. We got embarrassed by Joe Judge for fugs sake. -
Rapaport: Panthers/ Tepper out of Watson deal
Eazy-E replied to FugginPoo's topic in Carolina Panthers
I’d imagine a big reason Watson doesn’t want to come here is because of our close proximity to Clemson. His reputation there is probably tarnished and he doesn’t want to face the backlash from his alma mater. Think about it. The guy isn’t playing football currently and he hasn’t been to a single Clemson game this season. In years past he’s been to multiple Clemson games including their playoffs games. Hell, the school may have told him they don’t want to be associated with him any longer. -
Maybe it was just me but you could tell the vibe was off and Guys weren’t feeling it yesterday. Compare some of the guys body language from the first few week to now the difference is jumping through the TV screen. It’s looking like players are starting to get annoyed by this clown show we call a coaching staff. Robby started this with his outburst against the eagles and more guys seem to be checking out as the weeks go by and our level of sucking ass continues to rise. Also if they are really trying to trade for Watson I would be trying to keep as many offensive weapons for him as possible.

When did you give up on Matt Rhule?
Eazy-E replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
As soon as he said all of that poo about Cam only for the team to release him started everything off on the wrong foot for me. Basically he had/has a huge mountain to climb to win me over. I keep wanting to give him the benefit of the doubt but the teams moves with the QB position and offensive line scream Rhule wanting to prove he can turn guys careers around to prove his coaching chops. So far none of his reclamation projects have panned out and the team is suffering because of it. He’s also way too loyal to his Temple and Baylor guys and seems stubborn when it comes to making obvious changes. Gives me terrible Ron Rivera PTSD. He also had the balls as a first time NFL head coach to not hire an offensive or defensive coordinator with any NFL experience to help him with the transition to the big leagues. It’s blatantly obvious this team lack experience and we are being out coached week after week. That all falls on Rhule. At the rate this team is going I’m just about ready to give up and hope Tepper cleans house and allows Fitterer to hire his own staff. -
As bad as Darnold and the O line have been, coaching is clearly this teams biggest issue.
