After what I saw in the preseason, Robinson should have been the starting FS and Chinn should have been playing as an in the box SS. Chinn should have been the DROTY so Rhule and Snow's dumb asses decided it was a good idea to change his positon.

I've been checked out since the Giants game. Pretty much done with the NFL and Tepper's handling of the Panthers has lead me to just say fug it. The Hornets and Hurricanes are a much better product and have been a ton of fun to watch the past few years. Highly recommend tuning in if you haven't. They're also a ton of fun to see live.

Panthers Bringing back Rhule. Planning to start OC search next week
Eazy-E replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
He wasn't really a good college coach either. He was just able to recruit decent players and beat up on bad teams in bad divisions. Didn't win any bowls or beat and teams that were ranked at seasons end. I seriously have no idea where the hype behind him came from. Joe Brady's hype kind of made sense. Rhule is a complete mystery. -

I mean if this is true the only excuse Tepper can give as to why he is giving this fan base a big "fug YOU" is that we aren't the ones who have to pay for Rhule's buyout. Still find it hard to believe Tepper is this disconnected from the fanbase. -
You don't when Rhule is still in charge. Will have to re-evaluate everyone when a new coach is in place.

Burns does his best work when he doesn't have to have his hand planted in the dirt. He is an edge rusher and needs to be used that way in a 3-4. Rhule and Snow keep using him as a D lineman and he just isn't big enough to play the run. We have the harder to find, more valuable pieces already in place to run a traditional 3-4. Just need a nose tackle that doesn't give up when he gets double teamed. *cough* Derrick Brown *cough* Gross Matos and Fox have shown the can play DE in a 3-4. DaQuan Jones is old and Brown is too damn soft. It's hard to evaluate Nixon and Hoskins as they were injured practically all year or Rhule didn't let them see the field. Roy is nothing more than a 4th string DT. We're a MLB and NT away from having a really good 3-4 front 7. Shaq Proved he is an above average MLB this season. Carter just isn't good enough to play full time next to him. Moving back to a 4-3 would require a lot more investment than just implementing an NFL style 3-4.
-
We should try to keep Reddick and run a real 3-4, not Snow's hybrid college bull poo. I would look to trade Derrick Brown while he is still on his rookie deal and has value. We need a true 3-4 nose tackle who isn't Charmin ultra soft.

Nepotism isn’t going to get you very far in the NFL. It ended up being a major factor in Rivera’s failure as well. I know it must feel nice to be able to give your friends jobs or sign players you have had relationships with in the past, but this is the NFL. You have to surround yourself with the people who give you the best chance to win, past relationships be damned.

Good thing we’re not fuging up our draft position this time around.

Was going to post the same thing. Much like Urban Meyer, but maybe not to same extent, their coaching styles just don’t work with grown ass men who make their own money. Rhule seems to be the polar opposite of those 2 but the outcome is the same. Too many of our players are soft and mentally weak. Other veterans just straight up don’t respect him or his “process” and it shows every Sunday on the field. Rhule is clearly not a leader of MEN.

The majority of that was Reggie McKenzie and Marc Davis. Those early to mid 2010’s Raiders teams had next to no talent on them. Their only good players seemed to end up on IR every season and they traded Khalil Mack. In 2011 and 2012 they traded their first rounders for an over the hill Richard Seymor and Carson Palmer. Rolando McMclain and DJ Hayden were both major busts. Have no idea how McKenzie lasted almost a decade as their GM.

If at any point in your life you deemed it ok to put your hands on a woman without it being a life threatening incident you’re a pos.

I wouldn’t touch EB with a 10-foot pole. Based on his past and his arrest records the guy seems like an idiot. I know people can change but you can’t be very bright with a track record like his. Guy has some serious character issues.

I really wish Ben Navarro would have been able to buy the team. There where reports that said Navarro was JR’s top candidate but the league basically forced JR to sell the team to Tepper for less money than the franchise was worth. Never liked the fact that Goodell and the NFL were so eager to make Tepper an owner. Always seemed fishy to me.

Yup. Doug Pederson is a perfect fit for the Jaguars.

Seems like Rhule learned a lot from Hurney in their short time together.
-
Ron Rivera never had a stretch of football as bad as the past 2 seasons have been under Matt Rhule. Only stretch remotely close was under Seifert in the late 90's and those teams had maybe 30% of the talent Matt Rhule has had to work with. If you truly are sticking up for Matt Rhule after what we've all witnessed the past 2 years I'd serious have to question your understanding of basic football.

I feel like this roster has been tainted by Rhule and his suck. If the firsts are like top 10-15 picks everyone is available.
-
No ill will towards you just when I read the names you listed he seemed like a strange outlier based on the context. Either way I do agree with you, I’d much rather have JJ on this team over Derrick Brown.
-
Everyone knew the offensive line was going to be bad before the season started. It sucked when everyone was healthy and it has continued to suck with every change Rhule has made to it. Now he’s trying to act like injuries are the reason the line play has been abysmal. Get this clown the fug out of here.

Justin Jefferson fell all the way to 22 and 4 other receivers were taken ahead of him. If teams knew he was going to have one of the greatest rookie seasons ever for a WR he would have gone top 5 if not number 1 overall.
-
Jeff Otah who we traded back into the first to draft.

The only hope I have left is that Tepper is just trying to be polite and waiting until the season is over. I’m worried though because even after everything Rivera had accomplished here, Tepper fired him before the season was over. Rivera was let go right around this time. Would have been the first week of December to be exact.
