  1. Imagine if the Panthers were actually aggressive in trying to trade for Joe Thomas all those years with a prime Cam Newton. The last time the Panthers spent a first round pick on the offensive line was 2008 with Jeff Otah. Let that sink in for a minute. 14 fuging years.
  2. That post Super Bowl 2016 offseason was the worst in franchise history. Gettleman decimated any future this team had with Cam in a single offseason after a Super Bowl appearance. fuging disgusting.
  3. He had just beat them a few weeks earlier. Shanahan got cute with the play calling in the second half and it cost them the game.
  4. Everyone shitting on Jimmy G but no one is giving Kyle Shanahan crap for blowing it in the clutch once again with terrible offensive play calls.
  5. So for those of you who balked at the idea of signing Terron Armstead, hope you are watching the 49ers line dominate the best D line in football. Anchored by a 33 year old 128 million dollar Trent Williams.
  6. Oh yeah also see what happens when you play defense in overtime? No need to change the rules.
  7. They run the same crap hybrid 4-3 scheme the Panthers run. Of course they got gashed by the run game when it mattered most.
  8. I feel like im watching the 2003 cardiac cats
  9. Can we get a legit pass covering safety please
  10. Bro every time he makes a clutch kick I die a little bit inside.
  11. Bro c’mon. You have the guy as your profile picture.
  12. Same can be said about a lot of QBs. Unfortunately, hypotheticals don’t help draft stocks.
  13. You named two Heisman winning QBs who were both statistically the best QBs in football the years they came out. Howell is no where close to those two. If Wilson threw for 1000+ more yards and 10+ more TDs like Murray and Mayfield he doesn’t drop to the 3rd round.
  14. Take the UNC homer blinders off. If this draft class didn’t suck when it comes to QB talent, Howell would be getting a 3rd round grade. If he has a great combine and pro day he could push himself up into the second round. Can’t see him as a first rounder unless a team gets desperate. Russell Wilson was a great college QB and checked all the boxes but dropped all the way to the 3rd round because of his size. Howell isn’t that much bigger.
  15. Nice to see someone else who isn't wearing the UNC Homer glasses. The guys play in college reminds me of Will Grier with scrambling ability, and that's not a knock at Grier as he played really well for WVU. Also Howell will not be able to run on NFL defenses the way he did against a weakened ACC. (the entire conference was bad this past season)
  16. Just make some rule changes that benefit the defense for once and we wouldn't even be having this argument. You can't even breathe on a receiver anymore without getting penalized among other things. The rule change to allow teams the ability to challenge pass interference barely lasted a season and they got rid of it because the refs were butthurt about being trigger happy with their flags. So many PI calls should have been overturned/never penalized in the first place that season but the Refs and Goodell are a bunch of clowns and can't admit to being wrong. There is more to football than offense. The Bills defense had two chances back to back to stop Mahommes and the Chiefs and they failed both times. Don't need to change rules because of that.
  17. The Chiefs defense sucks because they run a hybrid 4-3 like the Panthers do. Good teams can easily expose the defense because your formation usually is a dead giveaway in that scheme for what you’re trying to defend. The chiefs defense looked much better a few years ago when they ran a traditional 3-4 but switched to a hybrid 4-3 since they didn’t have the proper personnel to run Spagnolos 4-3. A guy like Frank Clark on the chiefs is being asked to play DE and getting abused in run defense because he should be a stand up OLB in a 3-4 much like Brian Burns. They brought in Melvin Ingram Who plays the same pass rush OLB in the hybrid 4-3 that Reddick plays for the Panthers. These hybrid college-esque defensives have down time and time again they don’t work in todays NFL. I don’t know why teams hire coordinators who don’t fit with their current core of players.
  18. That absolutely is a reasonable argument. With all of the rule changes they keep making it is becoming harder and harder to play defense in the NFL. They had 13 seconds at the end to win the game and an opportunity in overtime to get a stop and get their opportunity on offense. They failed both times. How about make some rule changes that benefit the defense for a change? Not every football fan enjoys a high scoring shootout every game. Some of us enjoy the low scoring, smash mouth defensive grudge matches.
  19. It takes good coaching to get young quarterbacks to the level of what we saw tonight. Unfortunately, we're stuck with Matt Rhule.
  20. What were all the defensive coordinators smoking this weekend? Never seen so many blown leads and sub 1 minute comebacks in my life. It was wildly entertaining though. Losing teams fans must all be on suicide watch. Such brutal loses and Insane wins. Honestly glad the Panthers had nothing to do with this. My heart and liver couldn't have taken it.
  21. It was light years better than what we’ve witnessed the past 2 seasons so I guess upgrade?
  22. Watching this makes me think we need to keep Cam. Good or bad, it reminded me a lot of Mike Shula’s offense when he was here.
  23. In my Tupac voice: “Ain't nothin' but a painkiller party”
  24. It’s all start from the top down. Tepper sees himself in Rhule and now Rhule sees himself in McAdoo. What a fuging clown show.
