Yeah guys were fine. There definitely isn’t a single available free agent that can do better than that poo.

We have an offensive line that ranks in the bottom 5 in the league and is dead last in some categories. These guys may not be an upgrade for those 20 other teams but these guys on their couch could be better than the garbage we’re putting out there currently. We will never know though if our staff just continues to sit on their hands. Edit: Also a lot of teams are cap strapped and we have like the 3rd most available cap in the league. A lot of these 30 year old vets aren’t willing to come back and play for peanuts. You think a guy like Richard Sherman, who may or may not have been an upgrade for us, would have come to play here for the vet minimum?

See, this guys gets it. Even the slimmest of an upgrade is still an upgrade.

We’ve all been saying that since before the season and it still hasn’t happened. If Erving wasn’t injured literally nothing would have changed.

You can’t care about something like that when the line is playing this bad. Didn’t stop us with the kicking situation. You also need a backup center on game days so it’s not really taking up a roster spot. They should literally be trying anything other than what’s been on the field so far.

This isn’t butthurt. I’m legit concerned our QB won’t make it through the season and we gave up draft capital to acquire him and already committed to his salary next season. The staff watching the offensive line do their best job to get Darnold killed on the field and not even attempting to do anything about it is alarming. I mean we all literally just got done watching Cam Newton’s career get ruined for the same fuging reason. They signed some guys in the offseason and it clearly hasn’t worked out. Bring in some new guys and see if they’re any better. Absolutely nothing to lose but some cap space this year which we have plenty of.

Guys like David Decastro, Kelece Osemele, Brian Winters, Ben Garland, Russell Bodine, Hroniss Grasu Should all be getting phone calls seeing what there status is. I don’t care if they are coming off injury or were dog poo last season. I mean we signed fuging Pay Elflien and Cam Erving to multi year deals FFS. They should be doing everything in their power to make sure Darnold doesn’t get ruined in his first season here. We already committed 18.5 million to him next season.

Rhule said it has to do with weight management and getting up to game speed in the NFL. I don’t think that would apply to guys who are vets in the league with years and years of experience.

They’re only real weak spot on defense is their corners. They have some good DTs and Danielle Hunter is a freak. Once Darnold gets rocked a few times we are looking at Philly all over again, except the Vikings have actual weapons on offense that can put up points. Only thing we have going for us is Kirk Cousins isn’t mobile.

There is no pity party. Our QB has been getting absolutely abused because our linemen can’t even get a hand on a defender to block half the time they’re so bad. Year 2 becomes year one again if Darnold goes full Jets because he is so shell shocked. This team has loads of talent and a winning record. We need to take advantage of that sooner rather than later before a bunch of young guys are due up for massive extensions. The staff has to do something with this line before the season is lost because what we are witnessing right now clearly isn’t working.

I’m already disappointed. Prepare for more terrible losses.

If the can block for longer than half a second I don’t care who they are.

Oh I don’t disagree, but saying we will have to pay Donte top 5 corner money is a bit extreme.

Just prove to us, the fans, that you at least acknowledge the line is a huge issue and you are trying everything and anything possible to remedy the situation. There may not be any world beaters on the market but there are some vets that I can’t see being any worse than what we have seen from the guard and center position so far. Just saying you are looking for trades doesn’t stop your QB from getting hit almost 50% of the time he drops back.

Out of the top 10 highest paid corners, only one is under 6ft tall and that is Tre’Devious White. He is 5’11 and pushing close to 200lbs. I don’t think that is a coincidence. I think Donte’s size will keep him from getting top 5 money. Donte will probably land in the 15 million per range which funny enough is where James Bradberry landed.

Oh don't get me wrong Darnold was awful this game but his line and coordinator didn't do him any favors. The last int he should have went with the safe throw to Ian Thomas to gain back the ten yards we had just lost. It was 1st and 20 with the the incoming 2min warning. Darnold needs to be aware of those things in that situation. 2nd and 10 with 2 min and 3 time outs is not a bad situation to be in.

The other guy in the booth with him though..... Ooh Wee Mayne.

Bridgewater had his fair share of god awful interceptions. At least our current QB doesn't have the tendency to check down on 4th and long. It would be beneficial to our QB if our offensive coordinator knew it was probably a bad Idea to call sideline curl routes with multiple timeouts remaining when trying to conduct a game winning drive. Those plays are some of the easiest to jump and intercept in football.

So as a coach knowing that it is inexcusable to think it is a good idea to try and run up the gut with your third string running back in a single back formation. Joe Brady is currently this offense's biggest problem. We know the line is bad and he isn't even trying to game plan around that. Rarely do we see FB usage or 2 TE sets. It is like watching Rivera and Co leave Mike Remmers on an island all game while he was getting abused by Von Miller.

See the thing is, he wasn't even a college offensive coordinator. He was LSU's passing game coordinator. He didn't call the plays for LSU so it is kind of a giant question mark as to how much he actually had to do with their success. He's nothing more than a media hype boy because of his age. If we was in his 40s or 50s no one would even know his name.

Herbert would have meant no first rounder last draft at a minimum. Or we would have made the smart decision to fire Rivera when the team was shitting the bed and we probably would have never beat Washington in a meaningless game.

I sometimes question whether football coaches are just not bright people. They may have great football knowledge but have average to below average intelligence in anything outside of football. Like it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that we haven’t been able to run up the gut with a single back in short yardage situations at any point the past 2 seasons. fuging toddlers can figure out you can’t fit a round peg in a square hole.

The way the team is playing on offense, there is zero chance we beat the Vikings.
