Don’t let the NFL media machine push their narrative on you in hope of creating another poster boy. Winning is not a QB specific stat. That Patriots roster was built to win now in the offseason with a plug and play QB. All they are asking of the QB is to run the offense and not turn the ball over. This is the classic Pats Belichek model that they have used for 20 years now and allowed a guy like Matt Cassel to step in and still take the Pats to the playoffs. When Mac Jones starts carrying the team when they’re down and winning them games then we can talk. The Pats would maybe have 2 wins if Mac Jones was their QB last season. That roster was a train wreck.

Yeah glad I wasn’t the only one who picked up on that. Very good troll job because no sane person could think that was serious.

I don't think it has anything to do with moving the team. The Market in the Carolina's is one of the fastest growing in the country. There is a reason Tepper is making the moves he is with the Rock Hill Complex and the MLS Team. In 5 to 10 years everything he is invested in will be worth double. He may not know football but this kind of business stuff is his bread and Butter and a major reason he wanted to buy the team. As far as the NFL and the football stuff, It all falls on Goodell and how much of a piece of human trash he is. It is the same story with Rob Manfred and the MLB. David Stern was in that same camp but look at Adam Silver now and what he has done with the NBA. The NBA is the fastest growing sport in the world and at the best place it's been since the world wide draw of Michael Jordan in the 90's 25 years ago. Even though super teams are still a think there are actual signs of parity now that haven't been seen in the NBA in decades. With all of the positive rule changes and things Adam Silver has done since taking over, He is easily the best commissioner in professional sports. Meanwhile guys like Goodell and Manfred are turning their sports more and more into the WWE each year while only caring about making the owners and themselves as much money as possible. They don't give a damn about the actual product they're putting out there. Player safety, cheating??? They let their public relation teams try and manipulate the media into promoting that these things are their top priorities and when these issues actually make it to the forefront, they show their true colors and do the exact opposite of what should be done and go back to their PR teams to sweep the poo under the rug while trying to pull the blinders down over their customers and players faces.

This coaching staff is too terrible for literally any QB/player to overcome. I've never seen anything like this in the history of the Panthers, even in our 2-14 season with a lame duck Fox. That team was bad because of Pickles. Insert Matt Moore or who ever at the time and that same team would have gone 6-10 or Panthers classic 7-9. People are mad because the talent on this team is good enough to make the playoffs. When you look at the roster it isn't crazy to expect playoffs even with a second year coaching staff. The talent on this team sometimes overcomes the lack of coaching and wins games. It was like Rivera's tenure. The team constantly won in spite of the coaching and when they needed the coaches to do their jobs ("cough cough" Super Bowl "cough cough') They failed the players every time. 4 QB's now and the same terrible results. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize what the problem is. Same thing goes for the defense. As soon as a team counters what our defense is throwing at them and they need the coaches to counter, they get nothing. Literally, our coaches do nothing, week after fuging week. I'd be more than happy to have Cam and Sam back next season to compete for the starting job as long as we have a coaching staff in place with legitimate NFL experience.

If only Justin Herbert fell to us. Cam was fields mentor growing up through high school in Atlanta. Cam is the reason Fields wears #1. Would have all made too much sense

Damn well that sucks. At that point we were projected to have the second most cap space in the league. Now we’re middle of the pack. Looks like my dream of getting Terron Armstead and finally putting the can he play LT memes to rest is just that again, a dream. Well hopefully Christiansen continues to get starts at LT and progresses into a viable starting option for next season. Edit: Well fug me I guess. Just read in another thread that Daley is getting the start at LT over Brady C. Wtf is Rhule doing man.
-
No more fuging dead money. I rather just have him be an expensive back up next season. Cam’s market wont command some 30+ million dollar contract so between Cam and Sam their contracts would be the equivalent to one high end QBs cap hit. This is Rhules mess and he needs to eat it. I don’t want the cam kicked down the road and have a possible new head coach have to deal with his mess when he comes in. I’m sure Rhule was thrilled to have to deal with Hurney and Ron’s mess when he was hired.

This d line has plenty of beef. Phil Snow just likes to run 1 DT and a bunch of edge rusher when teams are running down our throats.
-
What good is a deep ball specialist if your offensive scheme doesn’t allow them to do their job? Dj, Robby, and TMjr are all plenty fast to run go routes. Problem is those routes just don’t seem to be apart of Brady’s offense. Part of the problem is not trusting the line to protect and another is how you utilize deep routes in your offense. Someone posted it on Sunday, but if you are calling for a player to go deep, your play design can’t have another player running the same route right next to you, allowing a single DB to guard two receivers at once.

That question was directed at another poster as it was pertaining to the entire point of the original thread. The way you rewrote it was how it was intended to be asked. Sorry for the confusion

The Seahawks were Pete Carrols 3rd head coaching gig in the NFL. Try again.
-
Exactly hiring Rhule and giving him that massive contract was a huge dumb mistake. Oh yeah and to top it off, allow him to hire a coaching staff of even more college coaches with no NFL experience. Recipe for disaster.

This was game 27 for this staff. -
I wrote the fuging post I know exactly how I sound. Why the fug would you hire someone for a job who has no experience in the level of work you are hiring them for and expect good things to happen? Tell me, who was the last NFL coach who was hired straight from the NCAA to win a Super Bowl? I’ll give you a hint, it wasn’t even in this century.
-
Yeah I remember the same play you are probably thinking of. Bottom of then line up on the left side of the field sometime in the second half.
-
Problem is the 3 big plays Donte gave up, Gilmore was on the field and Snow decided to not have him man up on McLaurin.
-
Yeah but these old rich guys didn’t get handed the keys to where they are currently unless they were family money/trustfunders. Most of them put in the work and got Lucky enough to make it big.

When something starts to become a trend I wouldn’t consider that the time to relax. Tell me something I said that isn’t true. Also only two of our D line starters are under 25 and they were both first round picks. Although I view Burns as more of a pass rushing OLB now. -
So I was thinking about how often a coach comes straight from the collegiate ranks to the NFL and finds sustained success and it got me thinking about other professions. Lets say I’m the CEO of my own decent sized company. My dream is to one day be the head of a multi billion dollar Fortune 500 company. If an opening for said position opened up I wouldn’t even be in the realm of possibility to be hired for the job. The most realistic chance I would have is to move into big business, learn the ins and outs of a Fortune 500 company and gain the experience needed to hopefully one day be considered as a successor. Now let’s take that same approach to football. I doubt high school coaches get calls from colleges to come right up and be the new head coach of a collegiate program. The same applies to the NFL. It used to be the only guys who got that opportunity were national championship winning coaches and even then the vast majority never went on to accomplish much at the professional level. We have started to see the trend of hiring coaches straight from the NCAA increase because of the success of young coaches like Sean McVay. The funny thing is McVay wasn’t a college head coach. He worked his way through the ranks in the NFL until he got his opportunity. Most people need experience in things to be successful. Just because you are a football coach doesn’t mean you are qualified to be a coach at any level of football. This is why the overwhelming majority of successful NFL head coaches come from years of NFL experience. Just seems crazy to me that a guy like David Tepper couldn’t see that as he himself had to put in the time and effort to grind his way to the top. I’m sure he isn’t going to hire a successful day trader to come in day one and immediately start running Appaloosa Management.

Exactly, so just let the coaching staff go.

3 different Emotions after 3 different Losses..
Eazy-E replied to bLACKpANTHER's topic in Carolina Panthers
After we lost 3 in a row my emotions went right back to where they were last year. Anger and disbelief. After each loss I think to my self. The coaches must watch the tape. It’s blatantly obvious what our issues are and yet every loss is the same fuging thing. We are coming up on 2 years with this staff and none of them have adjusted or fixed any of their glaring issues. -

Our D line is plenty big. Phil Snow is just a bad coach with a bad defensive scheme. Morgan Fox, Yetur Gross-Matos, Derrick Brown, DaQuan Jones and hell throw Bravion Roy in there are like a combined 1200lbs. For some reason Snow thinks it’s a good idea to run nickle and dime with Burns Reddick, Fox and Brown up front when they’re dominating us with the run. Fox is a running stopping DE or pass rushing DT. So you have 3 pass rushers and one guy who can eat blocks and you wonder why it was so easy to run on us. Same poo happened in the Dallas game and even the dumb ass commentators were wondering why we weren’t using more big bodied down linemen since we were getting killed by the run. If you want to have Burns and Reddick out there at the same time against more physical teams you have to be running a standard 3-4 formation with them or the opposing team is going to check to a run and gash us every time. If they’re in an obvious must pass situation that’s different. it wasn’t until the 4th Quarter until I finally saw a line up front of Fox-Brown-Jones-Matos and guess what, we stuffed their running back for no gain. Were literally talking basic fundamental football and our coaches aren’t even utilizing the fuging basics. -
