  1. Let’s hope he stays healthy and ADDS to the offense.
  2. I really loved the A..ho A….ho on the screen after the hat trick Jarvis was caught on screen doing beside Aho. Just fantastic. You can tell the culture Rod has in place is deep.
  3. The team is still losing and figuring out ways to lose. I’ll pass unless wilks gets us to 7 plus wins. 2-6 at the moment. 1-2 under wilks. Still kinda like old ways.
  4. Pretty solid crowd last night. I loved how raanta was pissed and slammed his stick after that goal. Shows fire and that he cares. The team went over and talked with him prob letting him know how good he did last night. Minus the 2nd goal, raanta was awesome last night. In fact, raanta may be out playing Freddie so far.
  5. Great game. Buffalo still has a lot to learn. fug with the bull. You get the horns. You want a seat at the big boy table. Earn it.
  6. The crowd is fantastic @Anybodyhomeyou are here. You agree?!
  7. Seabass almost had a hat trick. In the first period. come on y’all. This was going to be track meet tonight. Just get ready.
  8. Prob going to be a high scoring game. Buckle up. 7-5 incoming.
  9. News Hurricanes News Preview: November 4 vs. Buffalo Canes go for fourth win in a row just 24 hours after a six-round shootout victory in Tampa by Walt Ruff @WaltRuff / Hurricanes.com 10:00 AM Facebook Share Twitter Share Link Share Email Share RALEIGH, NC. - The Carolina Hurricanes get right back on the horse Friday, wrapping up a back-to-back set of games against the Buffalo Sabres. When: Friday, November 4 Puck Drop: 7 p.m. EST Watch: ESPN+, Hulu Listen: 99.9 The Fan, Hurricanes.com/Listen, Hurricanes App Canes Record: 7-2-1 (15 Points, 2nd, Metropolitan Division) Canes Last Game: 4-3 Shootout Win over the Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday, November 3 Sabres Record: 7-3-0 (14 Points, 2nd, Atlantic Division) Sabres Last Game: 6-3 Win over the Pittsburgh Penguins on Wednesday, November 2 THE QUICK HITS: Last Time Out: For a third consecutive game the Canes found a way to earn a win after regulation on Thursday, taking a 4-3 shootout victory from the Tampa Bay Lightning. After a strong start and an early goal from Seth Jarvis, Carolina nearly gave the game away to the defending Eastern Conference Champions, allowing three goals in the second period. But thanks to the 14th point of the season from Martin Necas and a shorthanded, game-tying goal from Brady Skjei in the third, the team picked up a point. In the skills competition Teuvo Teravainen and Sebastian Aho emerged as heroes and Frederik Andersen stopped five out of six. CAR@TBL: Skjei snipes puck home to tie it up in 3rd 00:38 • November 3, 2022 He's Not Slowing Down: Only 12 players in the NHL have more points than Martin Necas entering Friday's play. After a disappointing 2021-22 season, #88 has set the world on fire to start the first year of his new contract, averaging 1.40 points-per-game. His playmaking abilities have been on full display, but Thursday night it was a one-time howitzer from the circle on the power play that led him to the scoresheet. CAR@TBL: Necas hammers pass home to knot score 00:22 • November 3, 2022 Crazy 8's: Both Necas and Brent Burns enter Friday's contest on five-game point streaks. Last night Burns became the first defenseman 37 years of age or older to register such a streak in Whalers/Canes history. For Necas, it is his first career point streak of five games. We Need More Time: Carolina's victory Thursday night was their fourth already this season decided in either overtime or a shootout (3-1). No team in the league has more. Surging Svech: Andrei Svechnikov remains tied for fourth in the NHL with his eight goals. Only Connor McDavid (11), Bo Horvat (10) and Erik Karlsson (10) have more at the moment. We're Putting Pucks On: Last night Carolina had 55 shots on goal in their win over Tampa, the second most by any team in the NHL this season. That now moves them to third amongst all clubs in the league in terms of average per game, trailing only Florida (39.5) and New Jersey (39.1) with their 38.1. We're Keeping Them Off, Too: On the other end of the spectrum, Carolina has allowed an average of just 26.2 shots through 10 games this season. Only the Devils (23.2) are allowing fewer. Rotating To Raanta?: Given that it is seldom that Rod Brind'Amour turns to the same goaltender twice in two nights, tonight could be Antti Raanta's net. The 33-year-old is 2-0-1 in three starts this season with a .912 save percentage. He picked up a 26-save win over Philadelphia in his most recent outing, coming last Saturday at the Wells Fargo Center. No Rest November: Tonight's contest is the second of 14 in the calendar month for Carolina. Eight will come on the road and six will take place at PNC Arena. Tonight is the conclusion of the first of three back-to-backs. Injury Report: Forward Ondrej Kase has been in concussion protocol since October 13. On The Other Side: When it comes to teams around the NHL that have caught some by surprise to start the season, the Buffalo Sabres are one of, if not the first team that comes to mind. Trailing only the red-hot 10-1 Boston Bruins in the Atlantic, the Sabres' youth has led the way. Tage Thompson had a stunning six-point performance earlier in the week, tying him for the team-lead in points with defenseman Rasmus Dahlin. The two young stars each have 14 points in 10 games. ADDITIONAL NOTES: What Are We Wearing?: The Canes are slated to wear their black uniforms tonight. AFTER TODAY: The team is scheduled to have off on Saturday but will return to action on Sunday against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Puck drop is set for 5 p.m. at PNC Arena.
  10. Old school rivalry game! Let’s go get one! I was at the App vs CCU game last night in MB and didn’t get a chance to watch. However I was getting updates. I’ll be at the game tonight ready to cheer the canes on! Let’s go!
  11. They will run out of gas. They are old. Give it time.
  12. App State is going to whoop his ass tmrw in Myrtle MF beach!
  13. We have a regular season thread for this stuff but I’m good with this one since It’s buried from all the games. Prob be a good fresh start anyways.
  14. Her and Russell Wilson are grade A narcissists.
  15. If teams are willing to give up two first round draft picks in the contract year. Imagine what the offer is going to be from other teams when he’s a free agent in the off-season. Take the deal now
  16. He’s not worth a huge contract. Average 15 sacks a year and be a little better against the run then yes.
  17. Trade him. That Atlanta game vanished any remaining hope I had of this year. We’re going to tank fug it do it right
