Other than Sunday this team has been absolutely dog walked on the road. We aren’t even competing on the road in the playoffs which is amazing.

This is the worst I think our power-play has ever looked. No one crashes the net they circle up top hoping for a dirty goal

I’m normally a pretty positive guy but I saw nothing other than the first minute of that period That gives me hope. The whole team looks soft and needs to go back to Raleigh if they’re gonna play this game like this tonight. I hope Rod breaks something in the locker room because that first period was massively unacceptable. The Rangers play soft and the canes who are known as a forechecking team played that period even softer.

Meanwhile, on the other side, Carolina had an 0-for-3 day, with a hybrid of chances going off the post and a lack of execution being cited as the biggest reasons why. Monday at practice Nino Niederreiter and Teuvo Teravainen swapped power play units for the Canes. Will that be the spark needed for Carolina to strike gold on special teams? I disagree. He is playing great all three games so far. His goals allowed are 2, 2, and 1. Sunday he stopped a ton of shots but the rangers blocked a bunch too.
