Yep! You would think based on the comments, this group should all be NHL GMs vs posting on a message board. Orlov is replacing Pesce. It’s coming. Relax and have a beer folks. We about to get leveled up.

Orlov is miles better than pesce at defense and scoring. He was the number 1 FA on the market. We got him. This guy and Bunting make us much much better. trade pesce for a scoring forward, sign Tony D and that is a team that SHOULD win the cup.

Pece is the one going. Trade him for a forward.

I’m guessing pesce or Skjei will be traded for Karl. karl and Orlov would be filthy

Canes are getting better today. A pesce trade would/should net us a nice forward.

Team clearly got worse when pool party was on the ice. Everyone saw it and Rod made that move and we got better in the playoffs without him in the lineup. I feel bad for the kid because he seems like a good guy but not an NHL guy anymore.

The Jets are releasing Blake Wheeler. 37 years old. Should we take a shot on him? He was almost a point per game guy last year with the Jets.

To be fair….every one disappeared against the rangers in that 2nd round.

You look to much at last year with Philly. Look at his time with us. Tony never fit phillys scheme. Square peg in a round hole kinda deal. Plus, and here is the big one, Tony sees the ice. Passes very well under rods system. Tony and ghost are a wash when it comes to defense. Like said earlier, ups and downs. Tony….in rods system…does so much more. Passes well. Scores more. Man’s a power play. To a man, you take Tony…again…in rods system all day over ghost.

I watch Tony two years ago in person play for us about 40 times. The guy fits what Rod wants under his system. He’s going to be really good for us again and the second go around he’ll be better. And as far as our defense guys go last year, ghost was by far our worst. Ghost was out of position quite a bit. He would have some good plays every once in a while, but he was our weak link on defense. I thought he was a better version of Calvin DeHaan honestly. you have to look at the entire package. Ghost couldn’t point a power-play like Tony could. I could care less what he did with the flyers last year, because that was a bad fit with the two players and teams.

Ghost couldn’t score and would be up and down with defense. Ghost was ok on the power play. Tony D could score. Is up and down on D and was good on running point on power play. it’s Tony D all day long.

Worth it.

I would take Tony D over Ghost all day. Guy was good for us.
