Canes play the number one team in the league. Good news is we usually beat these teams. Hopefully the bug is out of the locker room. Also, somehow the canes are favored tonight? Not sure I agree, esp with how shitty Orlov and our goalie situation is right now. But, who knows.

Pay moose what he wants. You don’t trade necas and Jack for this level of an elite player just to low ball him. We have the cap space next year, pay him.

I’m not sure this team will be elite by games like last night. Sure they had the flu but Freddie has been ass in a can since coming back minus the rangers game. Orlov is half assing it and based on Rod benching him last night, it shows. It’s time the Chatfield Orlov line comes to an end. I was content with this being a 1 and done playoff performance this year but with Moose and Hall trade, the top brass says otherwise. I just don’t see it. The goalie situation is not cup level. Freddie is done and koochie is, well a wild man, and I have no clue what Koochie we get. I don’t know maybe I’m just pissed still at last night but this team just doesn’t look like a cup team still. oh and the power play. This power play since December has been historically one of the worst of all time. It stinks. It is so bad, the have a hard time getting the puck into the zone. They can’t score. It’s absolutely dreadful. Maybe the worst I’ve seen in 20 years watching hockey. From the folks on this board, I legit want to know what the excuses for Rod will be this year if they flame out with Moose and going all in with Freddie and Kooch?

I still think this team is over achieving. It borderline sucks. I don’t care what our record is. Rod’s system and ass goalie play will cost us again.

I was saying this to a friend group and got chastised. Orlov was horrific. Freddie was just as bad.

Freddy Anderson does not get the Coochie treatment from the fan base. Freddy was fuging awful tonight just like he has been since he’s come back. Anderson is fuging toast just like the playoffs. But that’s too easy.

The refs really don’t like us tonight.

Not sure who is playing tonight. Flu bug going around. But, canes with points in 10-11 games. Third best record in the league. Canes can keep getting better, they just may chase down the caps.

Moose

Every year but two years ago vs Florida in the ECF it has been. We scored at Will AND had great goalie play the 2022-23 playoffs. Scoring just dried up vs florida. All were 1,goal games. Last year, we had the scoring but rod ran freddie into the ground. AND our PK just poo the bed. This year, I really hope it’s a 60/40 or 70/30 split between Freddie and koochie. Freddie gets two games koochie gets 1. Keep him healthy. The canes will make a deep run if we get scoring and goalie play.

Maybe he could have played it better. But I do indeed know what a grade A is. The other poster just covered it. To me and the other hockey geeks, Kooch lets in a softy from the blue line or a shot from the far lines with 30 feet to see it. That’s a softy. 1-0 breakaways or “high danger” shots when the shooter gets past the defense and is 5 feet from the net with a wide open space to the goalie. Those are grade A shots. Both goalies are hard to stop for Igor, Bob, or Vasy. Hell even Freddie. No goalie is perfect on those. Koochie stopped everything else and we won. That is alllll I care about. Well and that Moose scored.

My man. Both of Koochies goals weren’t this fault. Both were 1-0 breakaways that Orlov fuged up. Both of them. Koochie was a wild man but those two weren’t super soft. They were grade A breakaways. Your koochie hatred is showing right now.
