When I reflect back on how flat our team looked during a ton of games, it is vital we find a Quarterback that leads with energy(and a voice). If we had a Thomas Davis or Etc then I'd say we don't need our Qb to be the rah rah type. The issue is we don't and I get tired of the cameras going to the sideline to see everyone(Rhule included) just stagnant. I'm not sure which Quarterback that is but I hope the front office finds that guy soon(this year or next) and with resolve. The selection this year is Pickett, Willis, Jimmy G, Baker and possibly Kyler. Out of that list, they say Willis and Pickett are leaders and regardless of how people feel about Baker(I'm on the fence myself) the guy does have good energy during games to keep people fired up.

ELLIS L. WILLIAMS Of the OBSERVER on Jimmy G
Lurk21 replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Exactly.... its why I say if we do go down that road, I'd rather see if Baker has peaked. Jimmy had the perfect supporting cast on both sides and just doesn't have enough. I'm not even completely sold on Baker but I think that chip on his shoulder and his energy would be welcomed. This team is devoid of leaders that talk and he at least brings that asset. -
He has the same trend at 2 stops and its not coincidence. Young guys steps in(Jaylen and Bridges) and his injury history pushes him back to the bench. The guy can play but maybe he needs to go somewhere with less usage (30 mins) and less wear n tear.

Good move for Gilmore. They definitely got the pieces to contend. -

I concur bro!! If we going that route, might as well roll Sam back out and suffer without the resources being wasted. -

I wouldnt even do a 4th. In this draft that could very well be a starting guard. Honestly, I'm not trading for a Qb coming of surgery on his throwing shoulder. -

Can't throw until August and has never threw to our players. I'd want my new qb getting reps before August. This is a horrible fit... -
Kyler Murray deal in Arizona getting very interesting.

Exactly!! If the NFL starts having to go the route of the NBA, then some major changes(extreme increase in cap space n etc) will have to come!! -

When you look at the rumblings that a qb is going top 10 and Scott pretty much echoing that sentiment.... I look back to last year and Carolina war room was dang near accurate with predicting the top 10. We should have a general idea of what's going on by weeks end in my mind. We got word put out the week before draft about Horn. I think the same applies this year

Josh Norris on Panthers 1st round plans
Lurk21 replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
This has been going in for awhile and Jacksonvilles Gm is definitely the guy to make that move. This changes the draft board tremendously and a guy like Neal or Hutchinson could slide if Detroit goes Qb -
All these running backs we looking at.... makes me wonder that if we go a certain route at qb... will we till try to unload McCaffrey. I know we redid his contract but never know...

Is There Anyone Other Than a T or QB for the Panthers at #6
Lurk21 replied to Michael G's topic in Carolina Panthers
Trade back and target Penning, Pickett or Drake London... maybe. That's a doomsday scenario.... -
Fitterer on trading out of the #6 pick
Lurk21 replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Rumor has it that behind the scenes, Henderson has the same lackadaisical practice habits and mindset here. We took a shot but I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up out of the league soon.- 107 replies

That's my 1st initial thought too. I think that was around the time he was bullying the other left tackle dude. Who knows tho...

KC looking to trade up into top 10.
Lurk21 replied to DaveThePanther2008's topic in Carolina Panthers
I definitely concur!!! Look at all the top players that get hurt at skill positions (McCaffrey, Obj, Henry, Zeke, Allen and etc) and its clear that the 2nd contracts are becoming more farce across the league. -
@Thompcat I swear I have thought the same thing! If we weer that willing to give away next year's 1st anyway... then if the Giants are that determined for future Picks, it's definitely on the table. If the have in their mind that 1 If these Qbs is their guy and they can get a franchise Qb and Left Tackle in the same draft..... #Fittcanthelphimself

@ForJimmy Definitely something to watch for but it's odd because for years we have had to think it's Sean Paytons maneuvering. In this episode of HERE WE GO AGAIN.....
