REPORT: Panthers and Brian Burns not at all close to extension
csx replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
It's never the big number. It's the structure and guaranteed. We aren't getting any details whatsoever. That this guy doesn't talk about that aspect suggests hes not particularly knowledgeable about any of it -

This guy seems to be going off of what was assumed months ago. More recent reporting suggests Burns asking 30+. Who really knows. -

Unless it's Bryce Young. You've given him a HOF bust before he's thrown a pass. -
Bosa is expected 31/32 Or at least what his camp is floating
-
It was reported Tuesday he wants 30. Which is obviously absurdly high.

I just want it done so the team can move on with the drain with it's best players. I won't care whatsoever if he's playing. Not my money. -
When else would a player hold out but when under comtract? If not under contract one isn't on the team.
-
People keep repeating that it's like they haven't actually thought about it.
-
I'm done trying to assign blame. However it gets done I don't care. I will be pissed at both sides 8f he doesn't play Sunday. Figure it out.
-
Should retire then. Every player should. Can't risk anything.

Should we have waited for our edge help? (Chandler Jones?)
csx replied to Proudiddy's topic in Carolina Panthers
So we should have waited for a random rift to hopefully occur with a troubled player then trade instead of signing a FA who wants to play for the coach. Makes a lot of sense. -
In house situation if this was true you realize the market will sell your home in a day or 2. You don't need to accept low ball offers
-
You need a better agent if it comes down to that. Burns value is set by the market regardless of what happened with a previous trade
-
Klubnik was the top QB of his signing year and 3rd overall prospect It's just not working and that's not uncommon. Because dj uiagalelei was also #1 QB and #3 overall and wasn't good either. You don't get more elite than landing two top QB prospects in a row. But that guarantees nothing.

NFL isn't a government job. It's known as a strike. Contracted private sector workers have been effective in using them as a negotiating tool forever

Leave your emotions at the door about Burns... it's a BUSINESS
csx replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Its not business to me. Sports are emotional for fans. -
But is he an elite edge rusher? Bosa Bosa Bosa. Should have taken the picks. Meh
-
Everyone needs a separate Burns forum.

Lol....Shocker gone from Tar Heel Chicken Little to ACC > SEC after first week

Sounds like there are a lot of terms for the concept.

Or y'all have issues

It's not like it was a mystery -

Doesn't seem like much of a matchup. other than one of the coaches was fired here last year whys it "something else".
