What we do know however is that Burns is not in the top 20 for pass rush win rate at edge and obviously not ranked for run stop win rate. While Brown just makes the top 20 for DT pass run win rate and was #1 at run stop win rate. There are edge players who are in top of both pass rush and run stopping and here we have people claiming Burns is an elite player and should be paid as such......elite at what? https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/38356170/2023-nfl-pass-rush-run-stop-blocking-win-rate-rankings-top-players-teams

Moss was certainly considered the top wr prospect of that draft. Anything from before or after the draft references off field issues being thr reason he dropped. I specifically remember him being discussed as a top 5 or top 10 pick https://www.chicagotribune.com/1998/04/14/moss-still-a-contender-as-bears-begin-mock-draft/

I too hope the new GM is good.

At the right price not terrible move especially if Burns isnt here. Nothing to get excited or upset about either way

I will refrain from judgment until if and when we know what happened. Too many assumptions being made. Actually....I don't really care either way.

It certainly looks like whoever it is they are trying to fight him.

Smitty on the 2024 WR Draft Class (w/cliffnotes)

I'm not proclaiming anything about him but his struggles have obviously been overblown or at least misdiagnosed. Hands weren't his problem -
Playing run defense, giving full effort......could be a number of things

Let's look at numbers to get some context. For 1 his drop rate is roughly half of what Nacua had. Nacua had %8.1 drop rate while Mingo had 4.7% drop rate While Nacua enjoyed a 73% catchable balls while Mingo had 55% catchable balls. Fan assumptions are not something to base debates off when numbers exist Everyone loved Nacua but he had nearly double the drop rate being served much better passes. He produced with the benefit of a HOF QB and great coaching https://www.fantasypros.com/nfl/advanced-stats-wr.php?team=CAR -

First round picks going to good teams with good QBs playing better than Mingo going to our mess with Bryce Young isn't that meaningful. This year is a big opportunity for him with Canales -

How many were catching passes from Bryce Young ? Many of those were catching passes from veterans and hall of fame qbs. Mingo would look better playing for Reid, McVay with Mahomes, Stafford, etc -
Worth nothing at all
