Off-season topic: WWYD? Total Branding Redesign
csx replied to PanthersATL's topic in Carolina Panthers
The absolute worst look we have -
https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-offensive-line-success-why-building-through-the-nfl-draft-is-the-key Conclusions drawn This article took a deep dive into evaluating recent offensive line trends regarding the draft and free agency while incorporating team success into the equation. Here are the biggest takeaways: The best offensive lines in football (PHI, DET, TB) were built through the draft in the early rounds Other teams (most notably LAC) are following the same approach in team building Offensive line is something a team should target in the early rounds (1-3), as the success rate significantly declines in the later rounds both in the short and long-term Offensive tackles have a higher success rate through the draft than interior offensive linemen, regardless of round Acquiring free agent offensive line does have its benefits, particularly for elite units filling one hole. Interior offensive is typically the way to go Top-end offensive line talent is far less likely to be available via trade or free agency compared to other positions year to year, only emphasizing the importance of the draft My words: we were forced to make some big signings on interior after years of poor OL drafting and neglect. It worked but isnt sustainable. We need to get right. Drafting tackles high is a successful formula. We need to start now to have any hope going forward.

God I hope we dont trade up for a safety

Mike Kaye: “I would keep a pretty close eye on {KC Concepcion}.”

Those two have had 2 drafts. They drafted 2 receivers. A dud and a stud and got us an UDFA whos a starter. They had nothing to do with the previous 2nd rounders. -
We kept 3. The average is 3.6 so slightly more teams keep 4. Until we keep 5 what are you talking about?

Brother, he missed 3 games due to injury in 2024. The first three he didn't play because he was an undrafted rookie. Doesn't erase concerns over his quadricep but its not factual to say he missed 6 games due to injury. -
He might not make the team but they brought him in to genuinely give him a shot. Camp bodies are players you never heard of and dont even know they are on the roster.

csx replied to Joe Bear's topic in Carolina Panthers
He gushed over him when mocking him to the Cowboys. Then he won OROTY with Bryce Young. The guy is obviously a fuging moron. -

We aren't taking him at 19. -
TE Kenyon Sadiq from locked on panthers and locked on Ducks

What smoke screen? The team has had no noted contact with him. Locked on Panthers and a mock draft or two arent team actions. -

He would need to be traded not released. Releasing saves nothing this season. -

Nevermind. Looking at the players taken just after it's terrible. But one content creater cant believe every teams advocate at same time -

If that guard is as good as expected and Hunt could be traded its not terrible -
Drafting Chris Jones would have been fantastic there. Butler was just the wrong pick. With Thompson the good players that were taken shortly after were guard and DT. Same logic would say they weren't good options.
-
The contradiction is that if you dont believe in drafting for depth means you don't believe in drafting best player which means you are drafting for need only. I assume hes just speaking in generalities because they aren't going give away their thinking now.
