  1. There was absolutely nothing surprising about the Panthers taking Gross. It was pretty obvious it could happen if available. Other than Peppers or Newton there probably was not a more obvious target in team history.
  2. Obviously the pros have a different take considering that as a group they all went higher than you thought. Has it occurred to you that you arent a scout?
  3. Right......we desperately needed a day 1 defensive starter when 90% of the world expected a WR or TE.
  4. If I have learned anything in the Huddle it is to ignore anyone alleging to be a coach. I will defer to pro scouts and the likes of Joe Thomas.
  5. Maybe a fantasy but not an impossibility. Someone needs a OT mid season and we have a cheap Rasheed Walker and inside scoop on Christensen being healthy enough to be a backup by then. Probably a stretch but not crazy. OT is never something you can have too much of. Serviceable OT are like gold or old Tacomas
  6. Watching other teams social media most call him the only true LT prosoect. Im not saying they are any more or less correct but it only seems to be a Panthers fan angle that he is only a RT. Joe Thomas said for the Browns to take him at 6 for LT. Thomas might know something about the position. Nothing about his strengths and weaknesses really suggests hes a better RT.
  7. The two recent examples returned to play 13 to 14 months later. That does not put Ikem on the field this year
  8. And I have to assume we arent getting accurate prospect meetings info. Morgan specifically mentioned the interactions with him and how his love for the game and being the best as an influence in their decision.
  9. Thieneman went 6 spots later after another OT. So that tells you something about perceived value
  10. I would have been very happy with Thieneman too and one of the receivers could have been a great addition as well. Im just happy that they value OL. Nothing is worse than OL hell we went through
  11. Freeling had higher grades than Thieneman most everywhere. There were a few that didnt. But we're talking OT vs safety and the team doesn't use lists made by media outlets. They make their own.
  12. Come on. Even if he became a 10 year starter for us? Imagine if the Packers or Chiefs were that short sighted.
  13. Icky isnt coming back this year. That would be quicker than anyone else by a good amount.
  14. With the number of OL combinations we went through last year....and nearly every year it only makes sense.
  15. Its really interesting how fast people forget about importance of OL.
  16. One point he made in an interview about his relative low number of starts is who he practiced against everyday at Georgia.
