  1. At the end of the season our D was: 2nd best in yards allowed 3rd best in yards allowed per play 4th best in first downs allowed 4th best in passes allowed 4th best in passing yards allowed 2nd best in passing first downs allowed 8th best in RUSHING yards allowed per attempt Field position killed us, so we were mediocre in the points allowed. To often they made it to FG range. Meanwhile our offense was: 32nd in yards per play 31st in turnovers 29th in points 29th in 3rd down conversions
  2. I agree. Darnold had his shot last year and he performed worse than Teddy. TBF the line performed worse,Mike Davis>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Chubba, Curtis Samuel decided to play in a contract year, while TM was out injured, and Robby got a horrible case of the dropsies...... But you do not throw ints on first and second down. Take the sack, throw it away, don't play like shlt. Darnold had his shot. He blew it.
  3. Darnold did not look good in camp, and the D was on fire. It was our first indications of what was to come. I fully agree with this. On a side note, they took his 5th year option at the deadline to exercise it. I believe the logic was 20 million for 2 years of a starting QB was a bargain. They didn't anticipate that Sam would be anywhere as bad as he was...throwing ints on first and second down, more ints than TDs, just overall crappy play. I expect him to start similar to last year, slightly above average play, and then fall straight into the crapper as he does every year.
  4. This. Post after post, all day long, hating on people, and then deny the hating. Baffles the mind. He's not as bad as some. Some are FAR worse. Haters gonna hate.
  5. The Panthers at least had 5 wins last year. Can't say the same about this place.
  6. Cam didn't get vaxed in the timeline that the league wanted. When there was a mishap, Cam was gone.
  7. There's no point in trying to argue with you about your multitude of posts hating on Tepper and Rhule. We underperformed by 2 games last year with CMC, Horn and multiple OLmen down for the bulk of the season. Getting Darnold was a screwup and having Joe Brady as OC was moronic, and not showing the OL love was stupid... but on the flip side, they are trying to correct those mistakes this year. Maybe you need a safe space where you don't have to hear: Tepper isn't going anywhere. Rhule isn't going anywhere, atm.
  8. LOL I know right? He lives in his own hate-filled world.
  9. Huh? We're talking about the drop off after game 3 and the there clearly was a drop off after the Houston game. CMC went down game along with Horn. Sheesh.
  10. I agree. Baker and JimmyG want to start. They will ask to be released and the teams will either take whatever they can get, or just release them. With 3 new quality OLmen, an actual OC and hopefully healthy CMC, we are a more attractive place to land than last year.
  11. I don't blame Sam for the drop off. When CMC and 2 OLmen went down, and then we traded away Arnold, the O was going to take a hit. But Sam then starting throwing interceptions on first and 2nd down. Take the sack, throw it away, but don't give them the ball. It was just pure ass play at one point. That's when I turned on him.
  12. I agree. Cam also walked into a dream scenario with Smith, Gross, Stewart and Williams sitting here waiting for him alongside an OC who knew how to design an offense to play to his strengths. Lawrence, Wilson, and Lance weren't as lucky.
  13. Listen to what you're saying: The ONLY playoff season in 10 years for that franchise is what got Mcadoo fired. It sounds stupid even as I type it.
  14. Yeah. Its just become a hateful mob at this point.
  15. He's the only coach to take them to the playoffs in a 10 year period. Yet you seem to think that all of the other circumstances around him made him successful. Whatever. Mcadoo pushed for Allen and Mahomes. Brady pushed for Bridgewater and Darnold.
  16. It is now a permanent fixture in the huddle until we are in the SB or Rhule is fired.
  17. Now the NY media is showing regret: https://nypost.com/2022/04/13/how-might-the-giants-look-if-ben-mcadoo-had-more-time/ Of all the what-if scenarios from the Giants’ five years of wallowing among the dregs of the NFL, one of the most incriminating is the jettisoning of Ben McAdoo after just 28 games. The Giants were 13-15 in McAdoo’s tenure as the head coach: 11-5 in 2016 (the only playoff appearance in a span of 10 years) ... Had he been given one more year, McAdoo quite possibly could have regained some of the footing he established in his debut season. He also would have pushed for a change at quarterback before the 2018 season, correctly sensing Manning was in decline. In the 2018 draft class, McAdoo identified Josh Allen as the top quarterback based on his “high ceiling,” as he told The Post in July of that year, and put Lamar Jackson at No. 2, ahead of Sam Darnold and Josh Rosen. McAdoo had Baker Mayfield, taken No. 1 overall by the Browns, as the sixth-best quarterback that year. McAdoo, who wanted the Giants to gamble on Patrick Mahomes in 2017 , would have pushed for Allen the following year, when the Giants owned the No. 2 pick. Would McAdoo have been able to convince Mara and general manager Dave Gettleman to finally move on from Manning or at least to finally select Manning’s eventual successor? Drafting Allen instead of running back Saquon Barkley would have changed the course of Giants history. Ironically, Allen’s ascension in Buffalo led to so much success that the Giants raided the Bills for their new general manager (Joe Schoen) and head coach (Brian Daboll). This concludes this episode of “Giants What If…?’’
