Haters gonna hate.

The time to make that case is past. He's our QB now, lets hope he rises to the challenge.
-
So I listened to the podcast. Not sure how it helps your case. Just a few takeaways. As a deal standing by itself and if you ignore the history of our QB situation, they thought this was great deal for the Panthers. They believe this could move us up, reasonably to the 16th-ish best offense. They really liked our D saying it was legit and was 8th overall in defensive epa With those rankings, they said we could possibly be a 10 win team and then they list how bad the NFC teams are and we could sneak in for the playoffs. They go on to complain how we keep taking swings at different bargain basement QBs. Then they admit, that they, themselves, would have blown the 2018 draft and would have taken Baker over Josh Allen (with his 50% completion percentage in college). They called Baker the millennial Jake Delhomme.

It saves Corral from getting killed year one and give him time to get ready. If you truly believe Corral is the future of the franchise, this was the right move.
-
LOL. Apparently it went over your head. NFL teams don't have the 3rd-4th round rookies QB start day one as plan A.
-
Who knows with Hurney. He traded up to get Little.
-
BTW Dak was drafted in the 4th round and wasn't supposed to start. Romo was injured in preseason.
-
We're you the raging against listing anomalies as examples? Will Grier says hi.
-
In 4 months, we'll have given Corral time to develop. You'd have thrown him to the wolves.
-
Throwing a 3rd round QB out before his ready is a recipe for getting him killed, not finding out what he has.
-
That's your genius plan? Go with the 3rd round rookie out the gate? So what is your brilliant plan if he isn't ready?
-
Is Baker Mayfield the second best QB in the NFC South?
poundaway replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
He is. -
Not sure where your love for Sam comes from, but any plan that doesn't include Darnold in the starting lineup is the way to go. Or is your genius plan to throw a 3rd round rookie out there day one? Having Baker on the cheap until Corral is ready is a better plan than starting with wrong way Darnold.
-
ad nauseam that's for sure.

Didn't Fit get a pick for Greg Little?
-
Its pointless. So many armchair GMs want to tank before the season even begins because they want a QB in the next class or they want Rhule gone or both.
-
If you're referring to 2020, he was 15th in PR right next to Stafford (14th). He was 10th in QBR. TBF he has always had one of the best lines in the league. He's better than Sam and he cost less that 5 mil and a future conditional 5th.
-
Considering the deal we struck, the Seahawks must have had next to no interest.
-
True. But we did the Sam D trade. The 2nd and 4th came from this year's draft. The 2021 sixth, that we traded to the Jets, they traded to KC. KC used that 6th round pick to get Trey Smith.
