  1. Vegas had us at 7.5 wins last year and we ended with 5. Vegas has us at 6.5 this year with a harder schedule. Its a wide range, we could be anywhere from 4-10 wins. I think the McAdoo/Baker/DJ/CMC combo has a very high ceiling. Our D is not as bad as the jaded Huddle states. If Baker is still injured or he's off and CMC goes down, and the OL gets ravaged with injuries, and Horn, Donte and Shaq miss significant playing time, we're going to suck again.
  2. Hey @tiger7_88 I hit the poo button like ten times, but it only added one. We gotta get that fixed.
  3. We don't know why he didn't get the jobs he interviewed for. He's a big personality, he speaks his mind, he's not a McVay style OC, and he was still being paid by the Giants. Not sure how that works. He had 2 excellent OC years, and he had one good year at HC followed by a disaster year as HC that he didn't finish. It certainly wasn't because he didn't produce when he was OC before. As for "Odell carried McAdoo's O", I call bullshlt. He had 1300 yards out of 4200 yards passing and over 5800 yards total. Yes Odell helped, but he didn't carry the O. Odell hasn't been spectacular since he left the Giants, even in seasons where he played all 16 games. From this vantage it looks like Eli and McAdoo made Odell, not the other way around. We'll see. He has no excuses in LA.
  4. Its true. Rhule has shifted gears in many ways this year. He may have shifted gears here to a more pass heavy O. As for the last 2 years, if CMC was healthy there would have certainly been more runs. But Rhule wanted it balanced still, and Chuba and Davis were not CMC. Brady had next to no experience with the run game, and Pat Meyer's rushing production before the Panthers wasn't great. There's the plan and then there's gameday.
  5. I'd love an additional 500 yards and 8 touchdowns. We lost 6 games alone by less than a score. Baker was actually sacked 43 times last year, while Sam was sacked 35. Neither line was really kicking ass, the Browns were down both tackles at one point.
  6. We pretty much completely sucked at both. Would your plan be to have Sam throw more?
  7. More on McAdoo: “He’s coached some of the most efficient offenses in NFL history—some of the most prolific teams. And looking at ’em, there’s ability at the line of scrimmage to take advantage of matchups and take advantage of how teams are really schemin’ you up. And luckily, for us, I think that fits very well with our position group, our offensive line. Be able to take advantage that we have so many skill players who are extremely talented. It’s the freedom at the line to be able to let a defense try and guard us a certain way and dictate where we’re gonna go after that. So I’m excited about it. I’m excited about the possibilities we’ll learn about each other during training camp.”
  8. Browns lost on the road to KC by 5, oh and its actually a home game for us.
  9. For those judging Baker based on whether the Browns wanted him anymore. Its complicated. The Browns believed Watson was a better QB than Baker. Watson is better than 90% of the QB's in the league and he's young. The Browns enter the Watson sweepstakes. Baker asks to be traded. The Browns declined the request. Then the Browns guarantee their offer and get Watson. The Browns agree to Bakers request. This is not the same as us picking Teddy up as a homeless FA, or the Jets dumping Sam for an unkown rookie, or using bring Cam back for nostalgia.
  10. I know I didn't want him. I thought he was a diva. But he's our diva now. We'll see, he certainly didn't act arrogant in the presser. Just win dammit.
  11. So has anybody heard exactly what Baker's incentives are? I'm just curious how likely it will be to earn that money back.
  12. We're shopping him. I don't think there will be any takers, but if we eat enough of the salary who knows. We got picks for Allen, Teddy, and even Greg Little. I would not be surprised if he's gone before the season.
  13. I really think we are going to pass more with McAdoo as OC and Baker at QB. Eli Manning's top 3 years for pass attempts were '14,'15 and '16 with McAdoo at OC for over 4000 yards in each of those years and over 62% completion rate. I thought it might be a selling point to Baker and now Baker mentioned that he discussed freedom, audibles and being aggressive with McAdoo and Rhule. Baker is starting game one and he is going to let it rip.
  14. If he can lead the Browns to the playoffs..... Even his rookie season they were in play-off contention until week 16...for a team that had been 1-31...to barely missing the playoffs. Had he played the first two weeks of the season that year, they might have made it.
  15. I thought at the time that our original plan was to draft a QB, but when the 9ers jumped the line, we weren't sure who would be left by the time it got to us. They wanted to be free to do bpa and rushed a solution at QB before the draft. In reality, they would have been better off just sitting tight with Teddy.
  16. When asked about his 2020 season and what it would take for us to be playoff team, he responds with freedom. That he had talked with McAdoo and Rhule about pre-snap reads, audibles and being aggressive. https://youtu.be/-dpfPGrNq98?t=4265
  17. Fit says Rhule will make the final call on who starts. Huddle's head spins.
  18. We are certainly improving in this area. 4.1 yards per carry was 8th best in the NFL last year. We were 18th in total yards rushing and 1st downs allowed rushing. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2021/opp.htm
