  1. The only way Rhule saves face is to win games, and that's to play the better QB. Sam will only win the competition if Mayfield hasn't recovered from last years injuries. Even if Sam looks a tad better in camp, Mayfield will start because everyone knows there's a difference between practice and gameday, but it just seems unlikely that Sam will start. As for previous investment, Rhule and Fit have had no problem cutting losses even if we take a hit in picks or cap. They've done it before.
  2. Robby's drop rate was 6.4% and had 500 yards receiving. Ian Thomas' drop rate was 13.3% and 188 yards receiving. Chuba's drop rate was 18.9%. I get it, Robby had a down year, but he wasn't the worst. He yelled at Sam on the sideline. Most of the huddle wanted to yell at Sam on the sideline. He didn't want Mayfield. Most of the huddle didn't want Mayfield. I don't want him gone. I want him to play better, and with Mayfield, he might.
  3. @mrcompletely11 I saw this and thought of you.
  4. Yup. Baker also had 8 more touchdowns. How many games did we lose by a score?
  5. Yeah it doesn't add up. Elite lines don't give up 50 sacks with a below average pressure% and 5th shortest pocket time at 2.3 seconds. They were better than we were last year, but not elite. I don't care what the pff score is for the line. I don't want my QB getting sacked 50 times with only 2.3 seconds to throw.
  6. 4mr was not impressed with May's tape. So I guess we'll see. Maybe Deonte will come to play.
  7. Injuries would be the reason. Someone gets hurt in preseason or camp. We have a spot that appears up for grabs. Corbett, Bozeman, Moton and Icky are starters. That leaves one spot, either LG or LT, my guess is LG. I think Elflien was better then Daley and Jordan last year. Deonte is MIA. Mays could take it as a rookie. Christensen could be good at LG, but I don't remember which games he played there. We kept moving him so its hard to evaluate.
  8. I agree on Christensen. As bad as Erving and Elflein were, the backups were worse. Some of the line's best games were at the beginning of the season when both Elflien and Erving were playing. Elflien didn't give up a sack all season. I would rather have him than Daley or Jordan at LG. Elflien went down at the Saints game and was out the next 7 games. Erving got hurt at Dallas and missed nearly every other game during the rest of the season.
  9. Though I agree with a lot of you post, the county and state invested. The city of Rock HIll didn't invest, in fact the county is suing the city for killing the deal, even after the county offered to help the city meet its contractual obligations.
  10. I agree with watching to see if CJ develops. He had a pretty bad last year with allowing 25 receptions on 34 targets with 2 passes deflected.
  11. Well, you don't want to put all your eggs in one basket.
  12. If Elflein or Erving are in the starting lineup the huddle will go ape-shlt.
  13. Let me clarify, they were 19th in pressure percentage. The Browns were 27th in sacks last year with 49 sacks across all QB's. We were 28th with 52 sacks across all QB's. In any event, I didn't watch Browns games. But the stats don't seem to jive with the PFF rating.
  14. I just wasn't impressed with Brady last year. I'm sure he is developing so I guess we'll see.
  15. Yeah. I guess it depends who we would have drafted. If we drafted a winner and they developed, we'd be in awesome shape.
  16. Never been banned. Ever. But I believe the school girl part.
  17. It's sad that you simply cannot see the difference between simple disdain for a human being's performance and going on the huddle posting post after post hating on a person. If I disliked a person that much, I just wouldn't post. I would consider it a lost season and wouldn't watch. There's more to life to just hating on a person on the Huddle. Go outside CRA. Now you're crying cause people disagree with you on this. Here this should cheer you up because you told me you think its funny:
  18. I had believed the hype that Cleveland had this elite line. Well, that elite line allowed Baker to be sacked more than Sam last year and had the 19th highest pressure percentage. It also had the 5th shortest pocket time at 2.3 seconds. Sam had 2.4 seconds, he actually had more time to throw.
  19. I searched youtube for the full Skip Bayless video where he talked about Panthers in the playoffs and this was one of several videos to show up. According to that pff podcaster, a "surprising" number of people are a bit more optimistic than the fans at the Huddle.
  20. I was surprised by the amount of people who thought that the Panthers now could be a team lingering around 500 maybe even sneak into that number seven seed in the playoffs.
