Stephon didn't show up until game 8 and then only played 59% of the snaps in the games he played. I agree Arnold for Henderson was a bad trade. CJ needs to step it up, he looked BAD last year. I agree that Teddy was a better QB than Sam. He hid the deficiencies in the O and the OL with his quick release. Sam's release time is ass. Teddy had been in the O 3 years and he looked like crap the first time we saw him run it against Kyle Allen. Teddy was also in a better situation. 2020 Robbie > 2021 Robbie Mike Davis >>>>rookie Chuba Okung>Erving Curtis Samuel>rookie Terrace Marshal But Sam had an easier schedule (26th compared to 18th) and just looked bad overall. This is a fair question. A more important question is, what is Tepper waiting for? I think Tepper believes that home Saints game last year is the future of the Panthers. He discounts covid, the home field advantage and the Saints injuries and he believes we can be more like that team week in and week out. Tepper believes we would have stayed that team if we weren't hit so hard by the injury bug. He has pretty much said exactly that. He's not entirely wrong. I think had CMC, Horn and the OL stayed healthy, we would have won more games. We've made efforts to add depth at those positions. I guess we'll see who's right.

I very clearly asked, who was Rhule's Steve Smith. He went on some tangent rambling because he knows the answer. Rhule didn't have one. Rhule didn't get the #1 pick, or half the talent that RR inherited. I agree Rhule has sucked so far but it is fantasy to say RR inherited the same talent level Rhule did. Its laughable.

I wouldn't call that situation ideal. Cam had to learn a new offense with no prep, that was designed by the greenest of our college coaching staff who got fired mid season, behind an injury ravaged line that was already bad, with Robbie Dropsies Anderson, and Chuba "I'm going to have 3 times the drop rate of Robbie, on little checkdowns" Hubbard. It wasn't anywhere close to ideal. Cam wants to start. If that doesn't happen, then something might happen. It seems remote tho.

I would agree that only Tepper can fire Fitterer, though we know that Rhule pushed Hurney out. In the end though, Tepper fired Hurney. As for the "consensus" on the Fitterer "has more power", I believe that's arguable. I would say at best its myth promoted by Rhule-haters trying to find an explanation for the good off-season we've had without giving Rhule any credit. Tepper has stated the exact opposite, Rhule's contract has NOT changed and most of the supporting evidence is glances, pauses, and off base read-between-the-line bs. Its the Huddle's Qanon.

Some maybe. Some vets may not want to go through a rebuild, some left for money, some just really loved RR. My guess, is many didn't know much about Rhule. Seems like a bunch of Rhule' players want to play for him and follow him, rather than the other way around. You don't have to view every last thing as a pro-Rhule / anti-Rhule. Rhule has not performed as a head coach and if he was replaced tomorrow, I wouldn't shed a tear. But he's our head coach atm and Tepper says he's staying. RR inherited a vastly superior player and draft situation than Rhule. People saying otherwise are just revising the past to fit their Rhule hatred.

Clausen had a QBR of 13.8 THIRTEEN. That was behind a line with Gross, Ryan and co with Steve Smith, Johnathan Stewart and Deangelo. Sam's QBR last year was 2.4X Clausen. Sam was horrible. You have you dig down through 30 miles of shlt before you hit Clausen bad. Once Clausen was replaced there was going to be step up, Mr. Scott, and you know it. To imply that RR's genius turned around that offense from dead last to 4th is a joke. RR did choose Cam (the consensus pick) and hired Chud, but he had all the pieces and a #1 draft pick. So in YOUR mind: Cam2020 = Cam2011 DJ Moore = Steve Smith Paradis=Ryan Kalil Moton=Jordan Gross #8 Draft pick (1400 pts) = #1 Draft pick (3000pts) CMC after RR ran him into the ground = Johnathan Stewart + Deangelo Williams Whatever Even considering RR's missing 2nd, 1st round pick=3000 points. Pick #8 + Pick 40=1900 points. Your math is still shlt even when considering the second rounder. What you leave out, is RR had an extra 3rd.

RR inherited the #1 draft pick overall. Drafting the Heisman trophy winner and national champion who carried Auburn on his back to the championship was not some ingenious move that everybody disagreed with. RR had more draft capital in his first year, than Rhule had in two. RR also inherited Steve Smith, Jordan Gross, Ryan Kalil, Deangelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart. Its like a who's who of the greatest Panthers ALL TIME. He did trade for Greg Olsen that first year, so I'll give him that one. But your bootstrap description of RR is PURE fantasy. There no way in hell you compare the talent and draft capital of RR's first year to Rhule's. I'm beginning to think you have no idea what the hell you are talking about.

Well, the CMC injuries the last two years have always felt like a soft tank, but it doesn't jive with the other data points. It felt like we were saving him...but Rhule's wild ride last year, trading Arnold for Henderson, firing Brady and bringing Cam back showed a bit of desperation. If we don't get hit as hard by the injury bug this year we are going to upset some teams. If CMC, Horn, and half the OL goes down for the count again, we're going to see a repeat of last year.
