https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/panthers-reportedly-have-concerns-about-jimmy-garoppolos-shoulder/ar-AAY9rIU Panthers reportedly have 'concerns' about Jimmy Garoppolo's shoulder The Carolina Panthers have repeatedly been linked with Garoppolo in rumors, as it's widely thought he'd be an immediate upgrade over Sam Darnold and third-round draft pick Matt Corral. However, The Athletic's Joseph Person reported for a piece published on Monday that "there are concerns within the Panthers organization about the health of Garoppolo’s throwing shoulder after surgery in March." With Corral in the fold, we're just showing disinterest until they hit our price point. I even read somewhere that Drew Brees may unretire and upend the current, very small, QB market.

Panthers terminating Rock Hill project agreements
poundaway replied to Dorian Gray's topic in Carolina Panthers
This is a false statement. I never said that. I know you want to make it a blame competition. You all want to make sure that Tepper gets at least some blame. I was just surprised the COUNTY IS SUING THE CITY because as the county's lawsuit states: "Ultimately, the City of Rock Hill failed to issue the required bonds, the development project collapsed" Then the angry dude came storming in. -

I expected both the city and county to sue Tepper. But, the county is also suing the city... ...and you're saying that the county doesn't think there's any blame there? You're better than that Mr. Scot. Don't sink to CRA's level. -

That they are suing the billionaire who just declared bankruptcy and will probably never do business with York County or RH again is not surprising. They are trying to maximize their relief and save face. York County suing RH is not something I ever saw coming. Claiming in the lawsuit "Ultimately, the City of Rock Hill failed to issue the required bonds, the development project collapsed" You can argue with York County over who's fault this is. Sorry I'm not joining your Tepper ragefest. -

County has to live with the city forever and some of the politicians and political organization flow back and forth. -

The county is suing Rock Hill for not issuing the bonds. Fascinating. There will be discovery and evidence presented, we should get to know a lot more about how this went down. -
Carolina Huddle Fitterer Approval Rating
poundaway replied to kungfoodude's topic in Carolina Panthers
This. Fit, Rhule and Tepper all collaborated on the Sam, Erving, Elflein, Henderson deals. We didn't draft OL until 3rd round last year. I didn't read a single story where Fit fought against those decisions and lost, in fact Panther Confidential showed that Fit, Rhule and Tepper were in lock step. The Sam deal was discussed without Rhule even in the room in Panthers Confidential. We know the idea came from Snow, and Rhule probably suggested it, but Fit took it and ran with it. I don't know why Fit gets a pass around here for last year, but gets the credit for this year. I guess people like it when we trade. -
Yup. pretty much.

Please, David Tepper, can you stop making Charlotte cringe?
poundaway replied to Ja Rhule's topic in Carolina Panthers
Its true, we wasted a bunch of picks and a ton of cash looking for QB. The problem is, none of those QBs are very good. Cam is homeless atm, Teddy took backup money in Miami, and we are desperately trying to find a replacement for Sam. Please Lord, let Corral blow the doors off in preseason. Please. -
Ok that's a swing from You actually think Matt Rhule would survive a 7 win season? I don't. to So, in reality, I don't actually think Rhule will get fired if he only wins 7 games. In the next post. I wouldn't say that Hekker, Bozeman, Roberts, Foreman, Tabor, and Wilks just came off unsuccessful stints. Bozeman had a 73.3 pff last year, Roberts was 3x pro bowl in last 4 years, Foreman did just fine filling in for Henry, Tabor's Bears ranked seventh in special teams EPA and DVOA, and we know Wilks is a good DB coach.
-
Hekker, Corbett, Bozeman, Roberts, Foreman Tabor, Wilks, Campen, and yes McAdoo. These are good acquisitions. Context is important. If we stay healthy and land at 7 wins, Rhule will be gone. If Ikey and Burns go down in game 3 for the season, and we land at 7, Rhule will stay. You seem very confident that Rhule is gone at the end of the season. I'm willing to bet Avatar for Avatar with odds. I choose your avatar for month. You can choose my avatar for 3 months. Matt Rhule is HC of the panthers for the 2023 season.
-
Rhule wasn't here 4 years ago, he's had 2 seasons. Most of the vitriol is pointed at him. Was Tepper supposed to clean house and fire RR,Hurney, or Cam when he bought the team in May of 2018? We had just been to the playoffs in 2017. Cam went down in 2018 so he gave them a mulligan. After 2019, he pulled the plug. As for this season, I never said that we added "all the talent necessary and finally have the coaches to get it done." I said Huddlers predicted that no talent would want to come here. They were wrong. As for this year I think we are going to do much better than what many huddlers predict. How many times have people predicted we're in line for a top pick 2023? We under-performed by 2 games last year, we will overperform by 2 games this year. We're looking at a 7-10 season. If we stay healthy, you can add a win or two on there, but we don't seem to stay healthy.
-
I think @Basbearis referring to proportionality. The level of vitriol here is not in line with the situation. We under performed by 2 games last year after a rash of injuries in the 2nd year of an absolute total rebuild. Were people expecting the playoffs? We knew Teddy wasn't it so we took another swing and miss at QB. Yes we overpaid for Sam but it didn't break the bank. We were able to draft a franchise LT and another, hopefully better, swing at QB. When you look at the amount of change: the OL, OL-coach, OC, RB, punter, punt returner, special teams coach, DB coach, DL coach... Many huddlers said no good players and no good coaches would want to come here. They were flat out wrong.

We were 32nd in defense staring field position, so this should help. -

Wheres the weatherman blog where he whines about it in 30-50 posts a day? -
Guess we'll see. We haven't made any major upgrades on D and we lost arguably one of if not the best player in Reddick. Stephan for Horn should cancel to some extent. Using your logic our D should be bottom 3rd in points again.
-
That logic would apply if there was no such thing as a field goal. 42% of the scores against us were FGs. We allowed 2nd fewest yards per drive and yet they still got into FG range because we had the absolute worst starting position. Combine that with we had to face the 2nd most number of drives.
-
Once again false on its face. It wasn't all yards. It included first downs and passes. We we're 8th in press%. We were 6th in tackles for loss You can lie to yourself and pretend that starting field position doesn't matter, but it matters. We were 32nd in defense starting field position...32nd! Field position matters.

If Sam hadn't done the exact same thing at the jets I would agree. But he did. You can take a player from the jets, but sometimes you can't take the jets out of the player. -

He'll end up on the PS. I was surprised someone took Grier from our PS last year. PJ won more games than Grier, I would expect the same to happen to him. -
I had added it while you replied. You said: Only in yards allowed and it was exposed early This is false on its face. We were elite in MANY categories AT THE END OF SEASON.
