  1. It was an injury to his non throwing shoulder. Sam broke his throwing shoulder last year. You'll see. If Baker comes here leaving one of the best lines in the league, with one of the best backfields, and surrounded by weapons, and Stefanski, he is not going to play better. Baker had one decent season. The rest were bottom 3rd. Is he better than Sam? Sure. So much better that its worth the diva drama? Fnck no.
  2. Baker had one of the best lines in football, an awesome run game, and a bunch of weapons and his QBR was 35.1 last year compared to Darnold's 33.2 with one of the worst lines in football. If you think Baker will improve with our new line (which PFF now ranks 24th), you're in for an unpleasant surprise. Baker is another mistake, just like Sam was.
  3. Well, using your logic, it should suck this year. We haven't added many pieces.
  4. Are you saying there was no improvement 2020 to 2021 on D?
  5. The defense did improve, from a unit that couldn't force a punt, to second in yards allowed. The O took a step back because we whiffed at QB, we traded away our best receiving TE and injuries on the OL.
  6. I'm sure this, as all of your other brilliant predictions will surely come to fruition.
  7. I'm sorry I'm not joining in the hatefest. Rhule has made a ton of mistakes, but I'm not going to wish we lose more games just so we can get a new coach when Tepper has shown no signs of moving on. MUST HATE RHULE. AAAAAH. ANGRY. HATE POSTERS WHO DON'T HATE RHULE.
  8. Here you can argue with 4 man rush. These guys hate Rhule. They have been blasting him since day three. At the same time they call them as they see them. "We know that over time, he's proven coach that over time the team will get better. It remains to be seen in the NFL.....He has also proven that in the NFL, guys on the fringe, are they gonna be busts? Are they gonna pan out? Bro, they're playing good ball. Donte Jackson had a career year last year. Shaq Thompson had a career year." The video lists player after player with career years under Rhule. Donte Jackson, Shaq Thompson. Curtis Samuel, Mike Davis, Robby Anderson, Teddy Bridgwater, Jeremy Chinn, all had career years under Rhule. "Baylor and Temple wasn't getting 5 star recruits. " He developed athletes into football players and he's "putting them in the league." "We went through a 3 and half game stretch where we didn't force any punts in 2020. Historically, the 2020 Panthers had the second worst 3rd down defense in NFL history. I don't think for the total year, I don't think we forced no more than 30 punts all year. That's crazy." "Look at the strides the defense made from that season that couldn't even force a punt...to this season, we ranked #2, I don't think we were the 2nd best defense in the league, but they were definitely a top half unit. Those type of improvements is kinda getting overlooked because he missed so hard on the QB position, his building of the OL was atrocious until this year, he didn't really have a lot of good veteran experience in his coaching staff."
  9. People already hate Rhule because of last year and you wanted him to go as close to winless as possible.
  10. So you didn't want Reddick last year either. You wanted to lose all the games last year?
  11. I agree. He was a huge mistake and step down from Teddy. Last year was statistically his worst season in PR and near last in several categories. He did better with the jets than with us last year. That doesn't mean he will be good, just a little better than total ass.
  12. True. Most of us agree though that he was better the first three games before CMC, OL injuries and the loss of Arnold. He's not statistically good in a clean pocket, but his overall play is better when he's not running for his life 1 sec after the snap. He is also better when we have a run game, which evaporated last year. Sam will look better with a healthy line and run game. Hopefully Robbie has exercised his demons, we'll see more of Tremble, and TMJ will take a step up.
  13. Sad part was he'd already had it.
  14. Some of those against this, not all, but some, are the same crowd who want to get Rhule out "faster". A move like this could help "Save Matt Rhule's ass." Its the same people against trading for a vet QB. They want to save the cap for the next coach and tank this year, because we had 5 wins last year and they were expecting more.
  15. I think they thought they could fleece him. In for a penny, in for a pound. They figured he'd just pay for building the water and sewer and they would collect the utilities on them. They thought he would never walk away, with all he invested, and the embarrassment of a failed project. He's got billions, what's 200 million? Pretty sleazy people. When Tepper realized this, he pulled the plug.
  16. And he's paying the price. York county and the state of SC all trusted RH. RH burned everyone.
  17. I agree, but QB is a BIG HOLE. They make or break a team. Sam is the worst performing starting QB in the league. We're going to be scraping bottom as long as he's our #1.
