Vegas odds on which head coach gets fired first this season
poundaway replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
And yet, Snow remains. If you're so certain 2022 is a "wasted year", why do you run away from a wager? -

He didn't look like scolded puppy. He looked like someone who was pissed at the press. You know, the press that had been ragging him since late last season. The majority of questions were directed at Fit, and people here think Rhule was unusually silent. His contract has...NOT....changed. Now, I agree that this crop of new coaches is a switch from the college hires he brought with him. The most likely scenario is he realized is that it obviously wasn't working, so he shifted gears trying to turn things around. I'm sorry that hurt Joe Brady. I know that hurt your feelings. It will be ok. The obsession with this Qanon theory that Rhule's role has been diminished is so childish, it fails to even be funny. Only Rhule haters "read into the body language" to reach the conclusion that Rhule must have his role diminished. If you're so certain Rhule will be gone, why don't you take my wager? The thread is about vegas odds, and they are in your favor. I'll even change my avatar for 3 months. You have to change yours for 1. If you are so certain, why not bet? -

You seem certain Rhule is gone this season. Wanna bet avatar for avatar that Rhule is still coach at the beginning of the 2023 season? -

More huddle Qanon. I expected more from you Mr. Scot. -
How much would you trade for Baker for 1 year rental?
poundaway replied to Cam's New Arm's topic in Carolina Panthers
It doesn't. Tepper is not going to blame Rhule for RR's 5 win season, regardless of what is posted here. -
CJ's play was putrid last year. Hoping for a step up this year.
-
This. There's talent on the roster. Better OL, CMC returns, Horn is back, NFL coaches, rookie QB waiting in the wings for when Sam blows it. Rhule's teams normally take a step up in year 3. Rhule is trying to correct his previous mistakes (NFL coaches, OL love, trying to replace Sam).

The 33rd Team names three NFL teams that are "stuck in neutral"

TBF Mike Brown is often rated one of the absolute worst owners. He goes beyond meddling, he makes himself GM and put family in key positions. Their playoff win drought lasted from the early nineties to last year. If you get lucky and land a HOF caliber QB all bets are off. It carried the Bengals last year. It carried RR his entire career here. -

That can't be. RR threw us on his back and took us to the SB. Everything was stacked against him but his superior coaching made us great. /sarc -
How prepared are you for another hilariously miserable season?
poundaway replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yup. We're going to upset some teams this year. We were better than our record last year due to injuries. When Horn, CMC and the OL stay healthier than last year, we are going to surprise some teams. -
No shlt sherlock. I know that. He's still better than Sam, who's play across 2 teams and 3 offensive systems has been putrid. You can blame the OL but you don't throw ints on 1st and 2nd down. Take the damn sack, throw it away, but don't give it to the other team. I agree with you, I don't want Baker. But you will have a hard time making the case that Sam is on par or better than Baker.
-
I'm against it. I think his play was elevated by having literally the #1 OL in the league according to pff (this year its #2). Hunt and Chubb did most of the heavy lifting on O. We'll see what kind of QB he truly is wherever he ends up, because it will be a step down from the Browns. He is more accurate than Sam, particularly on deep balls and is more of a competitor. The guy's a douche and will be bad for for the locker room, and he'll probably be bad for Corral. I see him and McAdoo bumping heads. If they sign a multiyear deal, I will puke. But if he becomes our QB, so be it, I'll cheer for him.

Baker>Darnold Its just hard to say how much. Baker has played behind an elite OL with Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt in the backfield. Baker is not going to perform better here.
-
He does, behind one of the best lines in the league and top 5 backfield.
-
No one is taking Darnold. If Baker came for free, they could just release Darnold and the effect is the same as swapping. Its why they are trying to get the compensation as low as possible for Baker. Baker takes QB1, Corral QB2, Darnold is released or PS. Its an upgrade at QB, but people will see Baker ain't all that when he's not behind one of the best lines in the NFL with top a 5 run game and surrounded by weapons. He will not play as well here.

@rayzoris right the competition between Baker and Darnold is going to look like this:
