I guess people are just going to see what they want to see. People can shift gears when they see what they are doing isn't working and that is what Rhule has done. Matt Rhule's contract has. not. changed. Tepper went out of his way to thank Rhule for assembling the new staff. I know its hard to see through the sheer hatred espoused by this place, weaved in dozens of posts a day directed at one human being. But Matt Rhule has done some good things and assembling the current coaching coaching staff is one of them.

I don't think RR had the control Rhule has presently, but I'm sure ol nipple-shorts consulted RR as he made roster moves.

He may have done it over RR's objections, but I don't remember RR complaining. My guess is, RR was involved in the decision of removing one of the teams star players, especially since Gettleman was the new kid on the block.

So Tepper pushed for Brady. Rhule always said Brady was outside his comfort zone. Brady was a much bigger mistake than Teddy. Teddy would have performed better if he had an OC who could spell OC, or knew what an OC was, or could design more than one route.

Cause he and Hurney cut Smitty and drafted Benjamin and Funchess. That was his own making.

You're right. He started with the talent I listed, except Luke and Olsen. The drafting the next few years was not great. We drafted Benjamin and Funchess and our first rounder in 2016 was Vernon Butler. How much did Butler even play? RR wasn't great with the draft, game management, game adjustment, or clock management.

BS. After the 7 game losing streak to end the season last year there were plenty predicting he would be gone both in the media and here. Rhule has been a good HC, just in college. He's still learning to compete in the NFL. His other teams saw a 3rd year bump. We'll see. Sam was given 4 years to prove he sucks in the NFL. Rhule has had two. You will see. Rhules seat will not be hot by end of year and he will be HC in 2023. I've offered several people to bet avatar for avatar that Rhule is still HC for the start of the 2023 season. That was before the trade for Mayfield. If you're so certain, I'll even give you odds. You can choose my avatar for 3 months. I choose yours for 1 month.

The only indications is huddle and media chatter. The same chatter that said he'd be gone this year. You maybe right. But I'm not spending my time pining for the HC to be fired. He is HC this year and I want him to win.

True. But RR had some of the greatest panthers of all time: Cam, Smitty, Gross, Keuchly, Ryan Kalil, Deangalo, Stewart, Olsen RR had better talent across the board, hands down.

Rhule was more qualitfied than Brady. Rhule actually had been a winning HC before, albeit in college. Joe Brady had never ever been a OC anywhere. Someday Rhule will move on either because he's fired or he takes a college gig, but it won't be anytime soon. When he does, I'll celebrate the new coach with the rest of you.

That applies to every college team. Rhule didn't draft him. The Lions did. He brought him here partly because no one wanted to come to a team in total rebuild. Of course the HC's job is to win games. Like Hassan Reddick. LOL He took Baylor from 1-11 to being ranked 13th. Yes they lost to Oklahoma after squandering a 25 point lead and then again in Big 12 Championship to lose in OT. But Baylor is not Oklahoma with 50 conference titles and 7 national titles. The fact of the matter is, Baylor and Temple players overperformed while he was there. The Rhule hatred runs so deep that actually generates love for poor Joe Brady who has never accomplished anything as an OC anywhere. Brady was carried by superior talent. Rhule just simply wasn't. Huddlers complain that Rhule hired inexperienced coaches, so when Rhule fires THE MOST INEXPERIENCED, huddlers respond with love threads for Joe Brady. Vomit.
