Poor poor Joe Brady. That mean Matt Rhule.
-
McAdoo has run top a 10 O in the NFL. Where has Brady run a top 10 O anywhere?
-
I agree with "He didn’t belong here. " The offense was the biggest problem last year and as OC, Joe Brady was responsible for that offense. Sims said in the video that even with as bad as Darnold was, Brady deserved to be fired. Darnold's lowest PR and lowest QBR was WITH JOE BRADY. That includes all 3 Jets years. He wasn't a scapegoat. You honestly believe running the same plays over and over, series to series, year to year is a minor problem? Seriously? You believe that? It wouldn't be considered a big problem in your world? Honestly? Your post just proves my point that the incessant Joe Brady defense is just repackaged Rhule hate. Anything to hate on Rhule, even it means criticizing Brady's firing. Its Rhule derangement syndrome.

Excellent post. "With the Carolina Panthers offense. There's just there's nothing there. You know, there's too many games. I was turning out and going. Wait. I've seen this play. It's late in the second quarter. I've seen it five times already....And that's the issue the league caught on to the Joe Brady offense.... Sam Darnold wasn't good. I get it. But the Defenders on some of these teams were running the routes for Robbie Anderson and DJ Moore. " Some of you don't actually know what SCAPEGOAT is. A scapegoat is a person, group, or entity who is targeted for blame for something he or she was not responsible for. The offense was putrid. Was Sam supposed to throw to covered receivers on every down after Joe Brady played the same play 5 times that failed the first four? The league caught on to the Joe Brady offense. That is Sam's fault? We could barely run the ball. Was that Sam's fault too? The Huddle's Joe Brady fetish is just repackaged Rhule hate. He wasn't a scapegoat. He sucked. He ran the same offense year to year and the same plays series to series WITH NO ADJUSTMENTS. Fnck Joe Brady and the LSU stats he claimed credit for.

aaaand their schitzaphrenic because here is one of the guys complaining about the deal in the podcast writing an article that says: "The Panthers made the best move of Matt Rhule’s tenure as head coach on Wednesday. " "And while that could be understood—finding a franchise QB is difficult for even the most competent organizations—Carolina has also failed to build up the rest of the roster. " https://www.theringer.com/nfl/2022/7/6/23197283/baker-mayfield-trade-carolina-panthers-cleveland-browns What a joke. Your podcast is a couple of 20-something simps.

They thought Rhule drafted Will Grier and didn't even like the Corral pick. Literally they said Corral is not good. These guys are obviously NFL geniuses, and I'm glad I listened to this drivel so I can abandon my hope for Corral. They actually said this is a good trade for the Browns, cause Brissett is so good. I fully expect you to lose your Corral enthusiasm since these guys are so smart. Wow. Just pure genius.

On the flip side, why do you think he is going to get 10 fewer TD's in 17 games than he did in 13.5 as a rookie? He had 3700 yards and 27 TDs in 13.5 games his rookie year. Extrapolated for a full year that's 4600 yards and 34 TD. OP's 4200 and 31 is not out of the realm of possibility, though it seems unlikely. I agree he will probably be south of that. The production really is going to be determined by his health and whether we are going to pass more. Mcadoo ran a very pass heavy O. Stefanski didn't and the Panthers don't normally pass that much. I would love to see a pass heavy O with someone who can sling that rock.

Isn't that kind of how it works? What is Belichek's post season record without Brady? What was RR and Richardson without Cam? We complain about Tepper and his "meddling". Imagine an owner that thinks he's a GM who doesn't produce a playoff win in 25 years, and puts his children in key positions like the Bengals have.

That was already offered. He needed to hear the words leave Rhule's lips?

The 3rd quarter slump was actually just a continuation of the 2nd quarter cliff and though it shows on both sides of the ball, it is very pronounced on the O side: This fits with what we saw in the game, a good first couple drives and then suck for 2 quarters. I ran epa charts looking at Baker himself, in 2020 and the Giants in 2014 and 2015 when McAdoo was OC( https://rbsdm.com/stats/stats/) hoping that we would see improvement here. Baker's drop off is in the 4th quarter. McAdoo shows a similar drop off, BUT he starts off at a much higher EPA. If you look, very few teams in the top right quadrant stay there. You have the Bucs, that it. The real problem isn't we drop off, its that our peak is so fricking low. We wouldn't care if we started out top right and dropped to middle top right. The problem is our QB, OL and OC sucked last year. Lets hope they suck less this year.

I agree. He was dissing him. He's backpedaling now, as he should. If the two can get on the same page, they can do some damage. -

Owners don't think like fans. They don't. When they pick these guys you scream that they're stupid. Then in another post you say there's no way they would ever do a stupid thing like that again. The fact of the matter when Rhule goes to interview elsewhere, he'll show his success at the college level, he'll talk about his HC experience here, talk about what he learned and what he would do differently to reach a different outcome. Experience, even bad experience, is a big selling point. And Rhule, if anything, can sell. The only reason he wouldn't be HC elsewhere again, is because he doesn't want it. -

I think it s a stretch to say 6-10 at the Jets as a success, which was his first stop. Rhule clearly has not been a success with two 5 win seasons. -

They said the same crap about other HC's when they were fired the first time. Losing records lead to crap thrown at you. Carol went back to USC for like 10 years and then came back to the NFL. Never is a long time. The list of HC's fired in their first gig to eventually be rehired as HC somewhere else is long. -

There is a reason there is a HC carousel. Its because people learn. Carol was not just a college coach. He was fired his first year as HC by the Jets and then by the Pats before he was Seattle's HC. Kubiak who beat us in Superbowl 50 had been fired by Houston. Belichek by Cleveland.... the list goes on and on. They recycle these HC because they have experience on the big stage and showed they can LEARN from their past mistakes. I think Rhule is learning from his mistakes and we're benefiting from it. He may get fired and never work as a HC in NFL again, but I doubt it. -
The deal wouldn't close until the Browns let us talk to Baker. What could possibly be said that would convince Baker to come here? I think we're going air raid. Pass first/ west coast/ balls out. I think they told him he's QB1 (surprise) and we are NOT going to be run first. We pointed out our deep threat receivers and that McAdoo's O in NY was very pass heavy and that they will design the O around Mayfield. It preserves CMC and our opponents will have to pass to stay in the game. Mayfield wants to throw more and McAdoo knows how to design a passing offense. He'll have a chance to throw well over 4000 yards. If the plan succeeds, his market value is through the roof. Just spitballing.

All we need to do is switch out HC's every couple of years. -

Bakers deep ball is pretty damn accurate, he has one of the strongest arms in the game. Robby could feast with Baker. Hopefully they'll iron it out and the latest signs are that they will. -

I wonder if the "loyalty to Sam" thing is real. It doesn't fit with the "I want to retire" thing. I think he didn't want Baker like many of us and now he's backpedaling, as he should. I myself have changed lanes and have tried to learn about Bakers strengths, hoping this could work. -
If that's what you want to believe.
