  1. He's still on this? He has all this grace for Brady, blaming the players, but apparently the blame skips over the OC to Rhule, but then doesn't reach Fit the guy who helps get the players. It's magical how it works in his mind.
  2. I know. Everyone here is worried about the run D. My #1 concern on D is the lack of takeaways.
  3. If you read it, you missed the point. Cam's comeback and winning drive performance isn't that different from Mayfield's. Mayfield's 4th quarter performance was better than Staffords in 2018 and 2020. He has been decent in the 4th. On the other hand, Mayfield has also sucked at times in the 4th, particularly in 2021. Hopefully he will be good this year. Your plan to just throw Corral to the wolves is a recipe for disaster that will get him killed. He himself said learning the playbook alone is a big challenge.
  4. Cam had 20 game winning drives and 16 4th quarter comebacks in 148 games. Baker has 7 game winning drives and 6 4th quarter comebacks in 59 games. Its true Bakers play falls off overall in the 4th, but that's mostly visible in 2021. It doesn't show like that in the other years. It's like looking at 2019 and saying Mahomes drops off in the 4th. People have short memories.
  5. Yeah, we're talking the difference between throwing 30 and 33 passes a game. In college he threw 29. These are tendencies anyway. Stefanski ran shotgun/spread on passing downs and Baker did fine. Not worried. I just want McAdoo's production in NY.
  6. I agree, Mayfield looks pretty good on paper. I'm just wondering what this O is going to look like. Rhule says he wants to run and have some balance. McAdoo ran mostly pass heavy, shotgun, spread, 1 or empty backfield, with little play action. Stephanski ran mostly run heavy, dropback, tight, 2 back, heavy on play action. Mayfield in Oklahoma ran spread shotgun. Some say Mayfield can't handle the volume, each throw takes a bit out him, so he drops off in the 4th qtr. This guy is pretty negative about it: https://www.footballoutsiders.com/film-room/2022/how-mayfield-fits-mcadoos-offense
  7. The missing piece in those stats is ints. Winston is in those rankings, and he was homeless for a period this year. Mayfield's career int% is 2.9%. Last year Mayfield's was 3.1%. Stafford's career int% is 2.4%. Last year Stafford's was 2.8%. Winston's career int% is 3.3%. Last year Winston's was 1.9%, but he only threw 1000 yards.
  8. Baker has had flashes Baker's highest completion percentage games: 2021, Houston 90.4 (19-21) 2018, Atlanta 85.0 (17-20) 2020, New York Giants 84.4 (27-32) Baker had a 5 TD game against Cincinnati in 2020. That's like half of what Darnold did all last year. Baker's highest passer rating games: 2018, Atlanta 151.2 2020, Tennessee 146.9

  10. Hey our QB's are ranked higher than Josh Allen in something!
  11. So you want to compare the 12 games before the bye, with the Jets, Giants, and Houston, including all 7 games with CMC to the 5 games after the bye with 3 on the road including the Bills, 2x SB-champion-Bucs and against the Saints in the Superdome to determine who is the better OC? One OC had 1.5 years to install an O, the other had a week.
  12. Its funny because @CRA is arguing on the other thread that nobody could have done any better with the talent we had last year on O after CMC went down.
  13. You should have just left it at "Joe Brady sucked." Sam looked worse last year than he did with the Jets, who didn't have a DJ Moore. His best receiver there was Robby Anderson. And don't blame our OL either, because the stats will show the Jets OL was trash. He didn't get ANY games with a CMC level rb in NY either. A good OC wouldn't have run Chuba up the gut on 4th and short. He wouldn't of thrown to Chuba on 3rd repeatedly after Chuba showed he couldn't catch. He wouldn't have schemed up the same plays over and over in the same game that didn't work the first time. He wouldn't have ran the same routes repeatedly. He wouldn't have been late getting the plays in. We don't know what a good OC would have been able to do with what we had because we didn't have good OC.
  14. and that mission was already accomplished. We went from 21st in total yards to 30th, and 24th in points to 29th from 2020 to 2021. The offense has been putrid across two QBs. We were in the bottom half in both rushing and passing yards in both years.
  15. And yet they were 10th and 8th in yards, and 13th and 6th in points. I'll take any of those rankings over the crap we saw the last two years.
  16. McAdoo's rushing production was meh. The went from 30th to 18th in yards per attempt with Jennings at RB.
  17. Don't know where his numbers come from. I know the deep ball project has similar conclusions, that Baker is in the top tier for deep ball accuracy each year. He's at PFF so they have their own thing I guess.
  18. The labels are staggered. He's the blue bar next to Brady.
  19. Sam and Baker have been auditioning every time they've stepped on the field. They are not going to look at camp alone. They are going to consider previous play and in that, Baker has the head start. If Baker has not recovered and stinks up camp, then Sam could take it. I don't see that happening.
