  1. The Bengals have the worst GM in the NFL. Daddy gave the little brat the team and he has been playing GM ever since. The tanking strategy worked in that case. Its not the only path though.
  2. Dude, read what you replied to. It answers your question.
  3. He's an average QB so far. Everybody else has a great QB or is hoping to develop theirs. We had Sam Darnold. As for the "tank for Stroud", or "tank for Young" strategy, I'm not a fan. The Bills, Bucks, Rams, Chiefs, Broncos, Pats, 9ers, Cowboys, Packers and Eagles did not tank for the QB's. They seem ok. The Jets, Jags and Browns tanked for QB's. It didn't work out for them.
  4. Huh? Blame for what?....the short pocket time, high pressure%, or high sacks? They entered the Watson sweepstakes to upgrade. It pissed off Baker. Baker asked for the trade. They TURNED DOWN his request, realized they were screwed and guaranteed everything to Watson to close the deal. Bakers reputation in the locker room, recent injuries, sub-par play in 2019/2021, and the Browns dragging their feet on closing a deal, left the Panthers as the only suitors allowing us to dictate terms.
  5. Key words, "when they were healthy." Problem is, they weren't healthy a lot last year.
  6. I didn't say Baker is a top 5 QB. I didn't say Darnold had a better line than Baker. In fact I said the opposite. You are arguing with yourself on those. I did say the Browns line last year was not great. It just wasn't.
  7. Read the stats yourself: https://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2021/advanced.htm I think the ratings were on the starting OL and their line got decimated during the year. Their pressure%, sacks total, YBC and pocket time, were all below average or horrible.
  8. Uhh, that would apply if Baker had a higher pocket time. He didn't. Sam had a higher pocket time than Baker. The Browns had the 28th best pocket time.
  9. How did Baker cause the sacks? Did Baker cause the high pressure% too?
  10. Anger's Allure: Are You Addicted to Anger? https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/culture-shrink/201508/angers-allure-are-you-addicted-anger 1. Human neurobiology rewards anger. 2. Anger is similar to other addictions. 3. Anger boosts ego fragility. 4. Anger may be familiar/comfortable and also a method of emotional avoidance. #3 explains a lot.
  11. Even the Browns pocket time was ass. They had the 28th best pocket time. Sam literally had more time to throw on average.
  12. The footballsiders and sharpfootballanalysis.com were before the season. The olinestats, still has the wordpress "w" as their tab icon. As for PFF, according to them, Paradis is a better center than Brian Burns is a DE. I'm not against PFF, but I find their evals suspect when they don't line up with the data. Even if you gave me 10 respectable links from the end of year rankings, I wouldn't care. Baker was sacked 43 times and Sam was sacked 35 times. Your line ranking doesn't mean shlt when you're peeling your qb off the turf. At one point both of the Browns starting tackles were down. For rushing, their 2.5YBC ranked 15th. When your pressure% is 19th, and you're 27th in sacks allowed, a "great" line doesn't look that great.
  13. How do the chemicals work when you get angry every time Tepper or Rhule say something or do something you disagree with? Asking for a friend.
  14. If Rhule is referring to average defensive starting position, he is wrong to say its the worst in 5 years. The Bears were worse in 2019. The RZ stat, is a little arbitrary. A TD scored on a play from the 21 is worth the same a TD scored from the 19. We were the same as the Packers and better than Vegas in that stat, near the bottom of the league. More importantly, we allowed a TD on 23% of all drives against us, which puts us at 12th in the league. We improved from 2020 but there's plenty of room for more improvement.
  15. The Hurney and Rhule comparisons are a stretch. Hurney was at the end of his contract and Rhule isn't even close. The fan/media pressure to remove Hurney was nothing like the vitriol directed at Rhule. Although Tepper paid Hurney a compliment one time, Hurney was a holdover from the previous owner, whereas Rhule is Tepper's guy. Tepper even said that Hurney had to go because of disagreements with Rhule. In the end Tepper is far more invested in Rhule than he was with Hurney and is taking a LOT more heat to keep him.
  16. The OL in Cleveland allowed Baker to be sacked more than Sam last year. They were 19th in pressure%, we were 32nd. They were better than us, but I wouldn't call last year's performance great.
  17. CMC dropped a pass? That's possible?
  18. Don't see any video of Rhule. You talking about this: or this: Both are from the press conference 2 days ago. https://www.espn.com/nfl/team/_/name/car/carolina-panthers
  19. PFF Rank 2018: 9th PFF Rank 2020 10th QBR Rank 2020: 10th Baker is up and down. Hopefully we'll get 2020 Baker.
  20. You think Tepper will fire Rhule with a winning season, or 8 wins on a harder schedule? I'm not so sure.
  21. Just enough losses for Rhule to be fired? 5-12 maybe? Just trying to understand, for a friend.
  22. So you want to win a couple games, but lose the rest so Rhule is fired. Gotcha.
