I watched all preseason and normally go to a preseason game, but not last year. And here's the thing. I remember who we played.

Every completed catch to a two this season will support the notion that the QB needs to develop chemistry with twos too.

They have both started two games. Grier's career passer rating is 33.2. He's thrown for 0 TD's with a 7.7 int%. Pj walkers career passer rating is 51.6 He's thrown 2 TD's and a 6.6 int%. Both suck, but Grier sucks more. When he was cut, there were some Grier fans who wanted to keep him because he had a 24 yard run for a TD in preseason against scrubs, but there were plenty of huddlers who thought that Grier sucked more than PJ.

I know right? Oh no, Qb1 had reps with the twos in training camp. If it wasn't this, it would be that winner was just handed the job. Its just one more way to direct hatred at Rhule.

He wasn't. He had one 24 yard run TD that made him look better than he was. His one start, before Rhule, was atrocious.

We may find out. We're not keeping 4. We'll see if Darnold or PJ finds a home. You seem pretty confident neither will.

You're right they claimed even before PS. They grabbed him the day after we cut him. Will Grier 0 TD's 4 Ints as an NFL starter. He didn't throw a TD in a preseason game either.

PJ was better for most outings than Grier. Grier was total ass when given the start. Grier was picked off our practice squad by Dallas.

Taking reps with the twos isn't hurting Baker. The two's play. He needs to develop chemistry with them as well. The person being hurt here is Corral who isn't getting as many reps because while we are trying to find a home for Sam, we have 4 QB's. We are doing the same thing we did with Teddy, trying to offload the previous QB, just there isn't much of market for Sam.

That assumes he has the ball at the end, some reasonable combination of timeouts/time, and a one score difference in every loss. GWD is an important metric and I'm not arguing Baker is really strong in this category. He's not, mostly because he had 0 last year. Someone was pointing out we didn't have a QB who could win games, and I pointed out that Baker has done both GWD and 4qrtr comebacks. His rate on those wasn't that bad until last year. BTW GWD isn't the be all and end all measurement of a QB. I remember Palmer had a GWD which came from a recovered fumble. They knee-ed it 3 times and then kicked a FG. David Carr has a good GWD count, but I wouldn't say he's an awesome QB.

Mayfield has 7 4th-qtr comebacks and 6 game winning drives. He didn't have any last year. He was at a decent pace up until that point. We were horrible in turnovers, ranked 26, but we were 4th in punts forced. I know they're not the same, but it is the ball back without allowing a score.
