Tanking is a loser mentality, by definition. Many on the huddle wanted this. They wanted a tank for QB and new HC years ago, and some were cheering for losses this year. Well they got it. NOW they're hopeful. Now they will switch to patience. Be patient. Let it work. It will be a couple of years of crap, but it will be OK. Often times it fails the first try or so. The Jags, Jets, Browns, sure it was a lost decade of being the absolute worst teams, but hey, they're rocking it now. We're set now. Now is the time for hope. Vomit.

CMC was a very talented football player for us. I think there was a time that CMC would just play though some of the injuries he had the past two years. Then he got paid. I think he and the coaching staff knew we weren't contending, so if he got more than a bruise, he sat. He's now been preserved so he can go tear up for a contender, which is what he is going to do. In the end, we traded CMC for what we paid for Darnold and Baker. If the 9ers do well, we got less.

Yeah. If only CMC wasn't our best receiver too.

You realize that if the 9ers do go to the SB, that 2nd is just about a 3rd. Right? CMC is going into an O essentially made for him on a team that has been to the SB and NFC championship in the last few years.
