Official hey the Panthers are wearing black helmets GameDay Thread!
poundaway replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Came home exhausted last night. Wasted season, fired HC, we lost the previous game before the half 35-0, lost CMC and rainy miserable weather pretty much through the whole game. Traffic was a nightmare heading INTO Charlotte. The stadium was half empty, but the fans who were there cheered hard. These were the die hard fans.... a lot of Mills and Delhome jerseys and the vibe was surprisingly upbeat. Chants of fnck Atlanta on the ramps going into the game, and Keep Pounding leaving. My son really wanted to go to this one, and it was cool to see some grit from the team. It was a great memory from a lost season and dark time for the Panthers. -
Is anyone EXCITED / Attending tonight’s game?

Probability Analysis of the Burns and DJ decision
poundaway replied to Evil Hurney's topic in Carolina Panthers
Exactly. DJ Moore is not probowler and tho Burns has earned one, his stats aren't spectacular. Its funny how the same people that bitched and complained constantly about Burn's inability to handle the run are the same ones worshiping Fit for turning away 1st round picks for him. The Fit fluffers are out in force. "Rhule's GM is the future! The man is a genius!" -
Good luck convincing Mr. Scott that Fitterer has any responsibility. If you knock Fit, Mr. Scott rushes into the thread screaming Rhule! It funny cause Tepper and Rhule chose Fit. It causes a feedback loop in his brain because he hates Rhule with every fiber of his being, but worships Fit, Rhule's chosen GM.

In any event, Cam came out guns ablaze. Allen, not so much.
-
There you are still going on about Rhule. Its like your obsessed. This is about Fit. Fit chose Fletcher in 6th. I will repeat. Fit chose Fletcher in the 6th. You are the one making this about Rhule because he lives rent free in that spacious head of yours. You predicted things would get better with Wilks and we just witness the worst Panthers showing in history and the worst first half in 40 years....to an injury riddled 500 team. How's that working out for you? Let Rhule go. He's gone.
-
WTF does that have to do with whether or not Rhule said 'let's take Fletch' in Panthers Confidential. 45ncfan said Rhule said in the video, and he didn't. Its like your brain shuts off the moment Rhule is even cursory to topic.
-
There are some parallels. Cam was on fire out of the gate. There was no plan here tho. We had no stability from year to year at OC with Cam. RR had to ride the rough patches with Cam because who else was going to save his ass by throwing the team on his back and dragging it downfield.
-
Actually, confidential shows the exact opposite. Your statement is patently false. Rhule gives Fit a list of players for the last 2 picks, starting with Hoskins, Fit says lets get Fletcher and he is then asked, are you sure? Fit says yeah.
-
Weren't you in another thread posting how Rhule inserted his guys into the scouting process. Now on this thread Rhule had nothing to with scouting?
-
2.6 QBR and 0.0 passer rating? I didn't know those numbers were possible.
-
2.6 Sad part is, he really is trying to win.
-
One of the Bengals touchdowns on Sunday, there was a helmetless Bengal celebrator in the end zone. No flag. It was a BS call on us. Everyone knows it.

worst half in panther football history?
poundaway replied to DJ feed me moore's topic in Carolina Panthers
Bakers stats mean nothing. It was the worst half in the NFL in a half a century. So yes, worst half in Panthers history. but I have hope now. -
and Holcomb and McAdoo stays. Scapegoat away!
-
Confirmed: Al Holcomb is not good at his job

I know right? This is the absolute worst the D has looked all year. And not just this year, in YEARS. The game was over in the 2nd quarter. Tepper knew what he was doing choosing Wilks to do the tank. Wilks took an 8-8 team in Arizona and drove it straight into the shlitter, the absolute worst team in the league. The Arizona D was total shlt. Before Wilks the problem was NOT the D , or ST. But Wilks fired the DC and a ST coach. Genius. He kept McAdoo and instructed him to throw lots and lots of screens, so many that we actually had an average negative depth of target Wilk's first week. Wilks is not trying to tank. Its just comes naturally. Leader of men, to the worst first half of football in 50 years. Where's his boot lickers? -
Pie to those on this board… you’re here when it’s ROCK BOTTOM
poundaway replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
You think this is the bottom? -
This thread aged well. D was awesome today. I'm so glad we have a real NFL D now. Apparently the D didn't practice tackling or the O catching the ball this week. They practiced being men, because they're led by a true leader of men. The penalties would have been off the charts if the Bengals didn't decline half of them because they didn't need it. So much for "I finally have hope now."

worst half in panther football history?
poundaway replied to DJ feed me moore's topic in Carolina Panthers
The game was over before the half. It was garbage time from the beginning of the 3rd quarter. Absolute worst football I have ever seen the Panthers play. Worst first half shutout since 70's. -
35-0 in the first half. So this is what its like to have a real NFL defense. Is this the worst 1st half in the history of the Panthers?
-
Good thing we fired the DC and ST coach. The O is like night and day. 7 yards in the 1st quarter.
-
Wilks and Holcomb are defensive geniuses. I sure hope we keep those guys as HC and DC.
-
How many HOFers do teams average with those picks?
-
Meh. As always there were a lot of contributing factors for why we lost that game. The kicker sucked, for sure, but no other team wanted him, so we knew he was scraps. Wilks put all his chips on him anyway. We ran it up the gut on 3 and 12 to settle for a field goal for our first score. Even the announcer said he was surprised by that call. Wilks is VERY conservative. But hey, we threw past the line of scrimmage two weeks in a row now, so we have that.

The better CMC does, the better the 9ers do, the worse our draft picks become. Its very relevant.
