He is was one of the worst QB's when under pressure last year in college football. If we take him and the coaches feel that they can correct that, I'm cool with it. But I think Young is the better QB.

Nah. We're just tired of your crap. The Stroud Boys and size queens are going to go on attacking Young, probably even after we draft him. Unlike you, I'm not against the other QB, Stroud, he's just not as good a prospect as Young and it would be a shame to pass on what many feel is superior talent to take the #2 because you think bigger QB's get hurt less, when they actually get hurt more. The Panthers will pick someone soon and I hope the huddle rallys behind the pick.

I was where you were a few weeks ago, until I went and watched the games. Young just has much better tape. Some of it is amazing. PFF, Draft Buzz, Sports News, ESPN,Walter Football, CBS Sports, NFL.com, and SI.com all have Bryce Young their choice for best QB. Not mock draft. Best QB. Its really odd, scouts and analysts have Young as the best QB but have him #2 in their mock. Combine that with the actual analysis that bigger QB's get injured MORE (which jives with our Corral and Cam experience), and I understand why the Panthers want the guy. We may be wrong, and Young isn't the pick, or he is and doesn't pan out. But I doubt it.

I'm still looking for the analysis on Young under center. Because the only stat I saw was a tweet for just last year. Is it all based on the one tweet with no reference ? The huddle seems to think that he can't take an under center snap because they didn't call it much in bama. Did the coach say something somewhere?

I guess we'll see. I think so. Most scouts and analysts think so. Word is, the Panthers think so. Many people didn't rate Corral the top of what was considered a bad QB class. Young is rated at the top of this one. They may all be wrong. But I doubt it. Who really knows for sure? Give the guy a chance.

Its true we got other lower picks, but the 2nd was the biggest one. It is true that CMC will be 12M a year 2023-25 for the 9ers. But we just ate 26M in deadcap for CMC and paid Sanders ~6M a year a year to replace him. There some savings for sure, but nothing earth shattering. I also agree that paying big money to RB's is not a good plan. But I still contend that a big part of our compensation for CMC went toward this new QB. We paid a lot for this pick.

We gave up DJ Moore, the 2nd rounder that we got for CMC, plus a 2024 1st and the 2025 2nd for this one pick. DJ and CMC for a QB with a reasonable chance to bust. It is unlikely that Young, Stroud and Richardson will all be franchise.
