  1. He's probably walking around with a football constantly now, getting used to the change from the college ball.
  2. In his Ruiz interview he said he thought this years WR corps as group was better than last year, even though there isn't a receiver better than DJ. In the Mingo draft video he said its one of the worst WR corps in the NFL. We don't have a superstar WR, so that is going to put us in the bottom half of the league, I'm not sure we're 31st or 32 though, I was thinking low to mid 20's. Hopefully Young can elevate them.
  3. Thank you , I did enjoy. First that is 2021 not 2022, and if you are listing this as a one of Young's worst games, I feel real good about our choice.
  4. Best running back room? What? If we fail to win the South this year its the wrong QB?... because why?...the other rookie QB's must have done better, based on what? lol You're funny.
  5. LOL Yeah, its hard to take you seriously, when you are comparing the consensus #1 overall pick and Heisman winner to the xfl standout PJ walker. Bryce may not meet expectations, but he is clearly not PJ Walker.
  6. He's in a rough spot. He's essentially going into his rookie season drafted in the 3rd round behind the #1 overall pick. He didn't look awesome in preseason last year. If he sticks around, he'll get another shot, but may end up on PS.
  7. Yeah it sounds like the new coaches liked Tremble so far. On UDFA, he said 2-3 make a push, but this year its like 5-6. He said we had to fight to the the UDFA OLman.
  8. Or like our WR group in 2015. The TE was the closes thing we had to a #1.
  9. Fournette with a RB by committee on the cheap sounds good. I'd keep Hubbard over Blackshear tho.
  10. Houston (1 pick vs 2 pick) Chicago (traded out of 1, has DJ moore, Foreman) Tampa has Baker. Indy with Richardson and we have Riech. We don't play the 9ers this year, but with Purdy hurt, Sam could possibly start game 1 . I'd pick the Houston game and risk that Houston sits Stroud.
  11. I like Shenault at WR. I'd prefer to grab a FA back.
  12. You're right, the situations are different. But lets not pretend our HC and OC don't have any notable flaws. I hope things click out of the gate for Young, Brown and Riech, but realistically there's going to be stumbles their first year together.
  13. I agree. We made the playoffs the year before Tepper bought the team and were just a couple years removed from a SB run. The wait and see approach was warranted.
  14. Its Young's rookie season. I expect him to be better than what we've had recently and to outperform the other rookie QBs, but its very unlikely he'll be all pro this season. Trevor Lawrence was 3641 yards 12 TD's 17 Ints his rookie year. I'm hoping Young does better than that his rookie year.
  15. The biggest indicator of future injury issues, is past injury history. Based on college, we should have been more worried about Coral's durability than we are about Young's.
  16. Shortly after 8 p.m. ET Thursday, Roger Goodell announced the start of the draft as Fitterer, Reich, the Teppers and all the Panthers coaches and scouts watched on TV. The league had asked that they wait at least five minutes. I was wondering why we waited.

  18. Atlanta spent a fortune on D in FA tho. Onyemata, Bates, and Elliss are 3 major upgrades at each level.
  19. Meh. Not a huge fan of the pick, but he's a very big and fast run stuffer who will probably be pretty good at setting the edge, something we haven't been great at. He played both ways and apparently can rise to the occasion. He played an important roll in the Ohio State upset. https://www.oregonlive.com/ducks/2021/09/dj-johnson-makes-critical-plays-both-ways-for-oregon-ducks.html "During the pivotal final minutes, Johnson caught a pass for 11 yards to convert a third down to take critical time off the clock. Following a punt, Johnson sacked Ohio State’s C.J. Stroud on the final play of the game." Evero wanted him, and he's a late rounder. Lets see how this plays out.

  22. Yeah, this ones a bit of a head scratcher. He is big and fast, but he's a 24 year old project with some degree of a self control problem. He was clearly misused, playing both ways. Looks like a bit of a panic pick after other talent was pulled from the board. Not sure why other talent on the board couldn't set the edge, but apparently its so important Evero even mentions it in the call. Overall feels like theres a bit more urgency this year in this years draft, from the top pick on down. Quite a contrast from trading down in 2021 and watching the QB's fall in 2022.
