  1. You're crazy, what I saw of Lance last year he looked way better than Fields, actually looked the part of an NFL QB. Has some developing to do but he is going to be a stud and better than anything we currently have on the roster
  2. OH man! Now this I could get down with...If they get Watson they will unload Trey Lance (no way he sits as a back up for the next 10 years) WE POUNCE ON THAT
  3. Yea I just don't know about the Browns, I've been thinking about the cap and if it is true that Cleveland is desirable because of the roster, to make a move to get Watson the current roster wouldn't be the roster he plays with, they just don't have the room unless a lot of players including himself agreed to some pretty crazy contract renegotiations which I can't see that.
  4. Does Cleveland have the cap room to make a deal like this?
  5. The draft picks don't bother me so much, you're giving up the unknown for the known, not just that, a proven commodity in the position that is most important on the field. Those high draft picks could turn out to be world beaters or they could ride the pine and wasted anyway, you really don't know. We all know Watson can, and has, played at a very high level.
  6. I dunno, I'm old and have the mindset that defense wins superbowls but, we've had some really good defenses here in Carolina over the years and zero rings, in fact we don't even have back to back winning seasons, I'm willing to try something different if it cost us a few defensive pieces
  7. I'm honestly on the fence with Watson coming here, it was a hard no for me before he was cleared now I'm open to it so to your question, is a franchise QB with 8 to 10 years of top QB play worth the rumored asking price? I think if you ask any team in the league they would say yes, look at the teams trying to get him? The most important position on the field also happens to be the hardest position to actually hit on. Lock that up long term and you have something to build your team around even if it takes you a year or two to do so but, with that said, looking at the signings we've had already I don't think we are waiting. The asking price is high, I agree, to high? No.
  8. Rings don't make a QB great, If Stafford was Watson I believe Detroit would have won a ring but he had to have one of the best all round teams in the NFL to win his, keep that in mind. Look at Dan Marino, no rings but a far better QB than any mentioned here including Watson
  9. Age number one. He has a lot more gas in the tank while the guys you mentioned are limited. Two, while he don't have a ring you could argue that he has played better than both with a supporting cast that is worse than the Panthers currently have and that is including the offensive line
  10. So the wrong guy got fired, is that what I'm hearing?
  11. I’m officially on board with this now, I had high hopes now, just a Sunday alcoholic
  12. I know you are a fan and all but I wouldn't put curbstomp and any college in the same sentence with Mac Brown and carolina; especially this year. Carolina only has 3 more wins than Duke in then conference if that tells you anything
  13. Ok I understand now, The football team tanked (Duke never has a football team so at least you have that I think) and didn't meet expectations, you know they are going to pretty much suck this year in basketball and the Panthers have been disappointing to say the least. I guess I would be bitter to if everything I loved was mediocre to just bad. Maybe next year will be better for you; good luck to your boys tonight against Loyola
  14. Season hasn't even started yet and sounds like someone is already mad Duke will once again be better than the Tarholes
  15. I'm not sure he would turn a trade down, he wants out. He wants to be able to pick his team, and he has the right to but also Texans have the right to accept a trade deal so really, Texans still hold the leverage, they can just tell Miami no, we don't want him playing in the conference and then if he wants out bad enough he will have to take what is available
  16. Its not just on the Texans, Watson has to approve it. If he is wanting to go to Miami then they are probably trying to get Miami to match it
  17. You ever been to Miami? It's a nasty hell hole. Once you go you will discover all all the rich and famous live on an island only accessible by helicopter or boat. Yea I would take NC
  18. I guess young is an objective term but: Sam Darnold 24 DJ Moore 24 Chubba 22 Tremble 21 Robby Anderson 28 (Maybe getting up there for a receiver) Terrance Marshall Jr. 21 and the list goes on We have what 5 -7 Rookies on the offensive side of the ball that most have seen playing time? Yes the D is young as well we are one of the youngest teams in the NFL Edit: In fact according to overthecap, the average age of our Offense and Defense is very close; Offense is 25.41 our Defense is 25.26
  19. I'm not going to burn it to the ground yet, we have a lot more talent on defense but we have to remember we are a very young team; on both sides of the ball. Our O-line might be worse but regardless of what most people are saying we are upgraded at the QB position. I think expectations got out of hand with the 3-0 start, we need to pull it back in and realize that this team is a work in process, young, inexperienced and learning.
  20. 4 quarters, this team needs to learn how to play 4 quarters. Right now, they don’t
