  1. Obviously you missed the read option earlier that resulted in positive yards due to a split second decision. Look I don’t think the dude is a first rounder but what I’m reading on here you guys have never watched him play. It’s not one read passes, he reads the entire defense and sees the field so he knows exactly who is open. Not saying RPO works in the NFL but the RPO in its nature is not one read at all, it’s what you see because of his ability to READ the defense.
  2. I didn’t say they haven’t but you’re making claims that he had missed another wide open receiver when he has only missed 3 passes so far tonight like it was on him. I get there are a lot of APP st homers in here like UNC but let’s call it like it is
  3. He didn’t miss him that ball was perfect the receiver was held did you not see the replay? You have to remember he isn’t the throwing to Alabama, Ohio St talent here
  4. So 30 yards more passing 1 less TD on a team that hasn’t been able to run the ball and has had one more possession is doing better? You people amuse me
  5. Maybe it’s decision making? Reading the field? How many times to we watch repays and there is a receiver wide open? Maybe, just possibly, he sees it
  6. It’s showing you that he is smart enough to run a complicated offense and so far rofl stomp a team that should have beat Carolina that did beat Texas A&M. I love how some are downplaying this because “Coastal” Good touch on the deep ball good zip on intermediate passed great read of what the defense is giving him
  7. Oh man, I had forgotten about that, he just walked away and we were stuck with nothing. Painful memory there! That is what bad front offices do, you take this trade and you run, get something while you can before we have another good player just walk away and we are searching for his replacement with no compensation
  8. Maybe I'm not counting right but what I see is Mack with 40.5 sacks in his first 4 years and BB at 16.5
  9. The Bears traded two first-round picks, a third-round pick and a sixth round pick to the Oakland Raiders for Mack and 2020 second round and conditional fifth round draft picks. But even the most diehard fan on here isn't going to compare Kalil Mack to Brian Burns....are they?
  10. Here is the thing about future picks, let's say that, so far, the front office isn't sold on any of the QB's in this years draft class and are looking ahead. Let's also say that looking ahead to next years draft class they see 3 or 4 QB's that they believe has more potential than the current QB class. Having that additional capital gives them room to negotiate. Not saying I agree with that but my goodness (and this pains me to say as a Duke fan), a chance to get Maye would already be tickling my fancy. Burns is a good player, and I really like him but being honest with where we are right now, the draft picks are more important than one particular player.
  11. I like McCall, A LOT, but not with a top 5 pick, probably not with any first-round pick but if the plan is to trade back you certainly have to look hard at him
  12. So we are a passing team this week? No identity, last week committed to the run, coaches say they are committed to the run, start the game with the running back averaging over 5 yards per run, then what happened? They have completely abandoned the run the last couple of drives
  13. Not to mention play calling isn't helping him at all, seems like every series its run, run, WR screen, punt. Either the OC doesn't trust him to throw the ball, or he is just an idiot
  14. I just read on MSN that they fully expect a trade, the panthers turned down the 2 first rounder option to drive up the value. Not sure if that’s true but makes sense. “The expectation is that Burns will still be traded despite the Panthers continuing to deny it”
  15. Not true, and I wasn’t just talking about the post I quoted. What you hear about McCall is good arm not great, not the most athletic and not the fastest but can escape pressure when he needs to. Who does that sound like coming out of college? The small school is true but Brady’s first year as a starter Michigan was ranked 12th, last year, CCU was ranked 11th. I also disagree that no one outside of the Carolinas have heard of CCU given Josh Norman, Mike Tolbert, Dustin Johnson, MLB players and their college World Series win. In other words, he should be getting a lot more national coverage than he is, kid is just a winner, 23-4 or something like that! Agreed it’s not SEC competition but stil
  16. This is exactly the scouting report on Tom Brady coming out of college. Definitely not saying he is Tom Brady but watching C.J. Today, I would rather trade down, get more picks and get McCall.
  17. Sounds like the team is at least listening "The #Panthers also have received multiple trade calls on their other top playmaker, wide receiver D.J. Moore, per sources, but the team has considered Moore a foundational piece to the roster. That would make a trade tough to execute," said Jeremy Fowler.
  18. So what do we have now for the draft next year 1st, 2nd's, 3rd, 4th and 5th rounder with either our 4th or 5th gone in the trade for Baker?
  19. I honestly hate to see him go but it's probably for the best. Hopefully he goes to a contender and has a chance to win a ring and we will get some draft capital for the new regime to build the team the way they see fit.
  20. So you honestly don’t think a 1000 yard receiver, which btw was Sams best receiver in NY, and had chemistry with him AND our glorious ex coach was positive Sam was going to be the Franchise QB of the future, to lock Robbie up for basically Pennie’s on the dollar compared to other #1 receivers? Now we both know Robbie isn’t that but I’m trying to put myself in their shoes at the time. Year 1 was outstanding, so they locked him up, I get that. Sucks it went to poo after that but if you can see the future please give me the winning lottery number, I swear I’ll split it with you
  21. No, even if he wins a few games doesn’t sound like his seat is safe
  22. They extended him because he had over 90 catches and over 1000 receiving yards in 2020 and was the best wide receiver we had on the roster. Honestly, hindsight being 20/20 and all, it was a pretty smart move then
  23. As he should be, given the circumstances he was given I think he has done one hell of a job. Example today, nobody thought we would get multiple picks for Robbie but he did.
  24. I agree with you here, I love to see people that care about winning! However, I think there is a right way and a wrong way to do things. Distancing yourself from your teammates probably wasn't the right thing to do but still I agree with your point
