  1. I keep seeing a few people say this and I disagree. The number 1 thing you need for a young QB is a good Oline, check. 2. A good run game, check 3. A TE that can catch and block, we can now check that. WR are great and all and I would love to have a number 1 but, look at KC, who was their number 1 receiver? With 2 number 1 WR Hurst still was very respectable. All over the league it's the same, we don't NEED a WR1 in the rookie QB's first year, we NEED players that are going to help build confidence while they are getting use to the speed of the game which typically doesn't equate to many scenarios where they sit in the pocket and wait for a 50 yard play to develop...that is year 3
  2. You might be right, no one of them can be but the D can't focus on all of them and they are serviceable, proven and a huge commodity for a QB, especially a rookie one
  3. Nice indeed, looks like they are trying to put all the pieces in place for a rookie QB to be successful! If it ended today this is one of the best offseason I can remember
  4. I'd rather have this guy! Chargers' Austin Ekeler's Best Potential Fits amid Latest NFL Trade Rumors | News, Scores, Highlights, Stats, and Rumors | Bleacher Report And yes, I would pay him
  5. What on earth are you smoking? This is an amazing signing given the situation we are in. This guy has been around a long time, know what the means? Means he knows how to take care of himself on and off the field, knows that a good routine means everything. In other words knows what it takes to 1) Be a quarterback in this league and 2) Have a long term career. All the things I which Cam would have had when he got here. How can anyone be upset with this signing knowing we are about to draft a rookie QB. The jump from college to pros is huge! Not just in talent but MONEY / Problems / Fame. Our young QB will need someone to help mold habits that not only allow him to be successful NFL QB but a successful long term NFL QB.
  6. Love this! Perfect mentor for our young rookie QB! Knows the ropes, knows his place, knows what he will be here to do! No brainer!
  7. I actually like this idea alot. Dalton has been around a long time has started and has been a backup. If there is anyone out there that "knows his place" and would be a good mentor; it would be Andy Dalton
  8. It's hard for me to judge WR in KC. Seems like 90% of their plays are geared towards Kelce and the WR are there just to distract defenders
  9. Nice, mine make the best chicken pie I've ever put in my mouth. She don't like all the veggies so she leaves them out, but the homemade crust and that creamy, chunky chicken filling is divine!
  10. Love this! Panthers are doing work this offseason! Is it bad that I have had more excitement for this team this offseason then I have the last 2 years of actual football?
  11. Hope the people that wanted to give whatever it takes to get a QB is happy. Stupid move, even worse with this draft class
  12. Not sure but I can't say he is entirely wrong either. I don't know how they keep doing it but the Saints are in a much better spot than any other team in the NFC South, player wise, as we sit right now. Young "might" be able to come in and play immediately but you have to wonder how long his frame will hold up. The most gifted QB in the draft everyone agrees will need to sit at least a year. Levis looks to me like Zack Willson of last year and Stroud will probably need some time on the bench as well. Only one of them would I say lets throw them to the fire on day one and roll with them and for a QB he is small
  13. Not sure how to feel about this, they are the only team with a legit QB in the NFC South now and not a terrible team around him. I think that leave us no choice but to make a move in the draft.
  14. RIP Big Cat! Thank you for bringing the NFL to Charlotte!
  15. Well with all of these former Panthers players / coaches. KEEP POUNDING isn't going anywhere! If anything, it has a whole new push behind it! Love this coaching staff so far!
  16. For college basketball I don't think it matters as much. Lets be honest, since the age of one and done the college basketball product has gone down hill. It has been proven time and again that having the best talent doesn't win championships, look at Duke this year, number 1 recruiting class and they suck. Buying a bunch on 1 and done players isn't going to change that just different teams will now prove that formula doesn't work. Football is a little different, you at least get to keep those kids a couple of years
  17. Admitting you made a mistake and learning from it. I like it, I like the process as described here and LOVE the fact that Tepper personally called Wilks to let him know vs having someone else do it.
  18. Good, now Scott knows were to make the cap saving cuts at
  19. He is stressed, his legacy is in question. If he fails at Nebraska after failing here, he knows his career is basically over. Stress is a killer, literally. I hope he succeeds as well, I hope every human being does
  20. Coincidence this comes out the day after Tepper admitted hiring Rhule was a mistake?
  21. Opinion piece of course but I could see this happening Latest CBS Sports mock draft has Panthers trading up to No. 1 in blockbuster (msn.com)
  22. Projecting Racism, if you keep screaming everything is racist because of most likelies then we never move forward with it. There was nothing racist about this, they stated from the very beginning they wanted an offensive minded coach and out of respect for a great man they kept him in the mix. Nothing more, nothing less
  23. What exactly is Wilk's grip? Did you know that there were other white coaches interviewed with better resumes then both Wilks and Reich who also didn't get the job? Wilks has nothing to grip about and you're projecting here. Wilks is a great man, not a great coach, his record proves that, the fact that no other team has reached out to him proves that. Great men doesn't necessarily make a great coach and that is all that happened here
