That was bad. But also he did force him to go around outside but for some reason Bryce took a 5 step drop out of shotgun and then didn’t step up into the absolutely massive pocket in front of him which allowed him to get sacked.

Pay Brown 100%

PFF grades after week 3 (not for the faint of heart)
Panthering replied to Cdparr7's topic in Carolina Panthers
Ekwonu is incredibly worrying so far this season, such a disappointment how big of a step back him and the entire line have taken. Derrick Brown continues to be my shining star of this team. -
Me sticking with the Panthers until the day I die

He's always going to look like a child out there, more than likely we took the wrong guy but that's just the math speaking. Most QBs don't work out, simple as. He needs to play, we need the answers sooner rather than later so we can make the next steps as necessary.

Ok all we need to do is get the fastest Hall of Fame receiver currently in the league, one of the best offensive minds in the league at head coach, and then hope Bryce turns out to at least be as good as Tua (he definitely can be). Lol we have no shot at this and comparing us to the Dolphins is basically comparing different sports at this point.

I think Stroud is already proving to be good already. It hurts since I liked Stroud more than everyone but it doesn’t change anything. I still have faith in Bryce
-
Yeah this, no moves need to be made. MLB is typically an expendable position these days anyways unless you are absolutely game breaking.

I hope Bryce lets the ball fly a little more into these 1v1 situations. I need to see what any of these WRs are capable of man on man even when they aren't open. Mingo, I cannot tell a single thing he's actually good at right now and I understand it's early but just like the whole offense, I've seen zero flashes of anything. Mingo supposedly is "built", ok then use that body and frame to win some battles there. It's highlighted in this video how poor his routes are currently and how he doesn't come out of those breaks with speed at all, that screams not an NFL player to me. I cannot believe Terrace Marshall is such a dud, he actually came on last year some with Wilks and I thought was decent at moving the chains and being a decent body out there. Another disappointment Fitterer L. Thielen is what he is. I called this from the jump, he should be a WR2/WR3 at this stage in his career and he's a WR1 here. That's fine and not really his fault, actually a decent signing cause holy smokes where would this offense be without him. I hope he can stay healthy. DJ Chark, zero nothingness so far but was hurt and likely not 100%, may likely never be 100% here before he walks this year, sick. One of the worst WR groups in the league no doubt about it, they can only go up from here though. Call up Julio Jones!

Halas Hall was raided by the FBI this morning after the Bears DC's house was raided last week. Explosive allegations coming out of it, I will not repeat the words as it's something I'll never type out in a computer. You think our franchise is a dumpster fire? Chicago has got that on lock so far this season.
-
What if we ceased to exist as a franchise? That'd be nice.

Smol guy running for his life because he's overwhelmed and on a bad team already hurt. Great job everyone!

I've always liked Shaq as a Panther, he's the last of a bygone era and I wish him the absolute best.

Panthers' Offense: Some Core Concerns Surfacing Early
Panthering replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah this is my gripe as well. I understand other teams have better talent than us but it still looks like teams like the Rams, Dolphins, 49ers of the world are playing an entirely different sport PRE-SNAP. I am not even addressing what happens after the snap, which hasn't been good either. It's a tough pill for fans to swallow after Reich openly talked about how vanilla preseason is and how he specifically called it that way and said it was "good" that it was boring. To then trot out the exact same stuff is just brutal to watch unfold for a team that's so talent deficient on that side of the ball. They simply aren't helping themselves here, I would much rather see some creativity to open it up and take shots. They did this on one playcall that I liked, someone set a pick to release Mingo (I think) up the right sideline, he was open, then Bryce overthrew it. I can live with those plays! It really is a shame that Laviska is such a dud of a route runner that he can't even get on the field as a WR in the regular season. We need his speed out there desperately. -
Look all I'll say is I had my first doubts about Bryce creep in last night. He's getting a full season from me and he'll be back for next year, so I'm going to try not to lose my marbles over this. But the fun part about having a rookie QB is the unknown particularly their floor/ceiling potential. Last night was a rough go at it unfortunately, and my confidence in Bryce & this staff has taken a hit. The thing I always struggled with about Bryce was his size obviously, but also how to weigh how "smart" he is vs physical traits. If your QB is "smart" i.e. smartest rookie QB ever, yada yada yada, then he damn well better be Einstein out there with the physical limitations Bryce has. It's clear that while he does process the game well and make reads, he is still limited by hesitation to sling the rock into tight windows due to a lack of confidence and arm strength. Then when you look at the other side of the coin in the physical traits side (the other QBs in this draft), then you can start there and slowly build them up to be a "smart" QB. That was always the big question, we went with the "smart", mature, professional QB and I like him a lot, but how good will he be really if he doesn't have above average arm talent, his accuracy dissipates with his confidence, any interior pressure at all will blow up the play due to his size, and one arm from a defensive lineman will take him down a lot of the time. That's what's worrying me a lot right now, and I hate that I'm thinking about this after I wanted Stroud all offseason before switching gears into the Bryce bandwagon. Not hopping off the bandwagon, but I have concerns.

Did Cade Mays get benched or injured?
Panthering replied to Ricky Spanish's topic in Carolina Panthers
Probably benched, I was so annoyed at his false start penalty and then didn't hear his name once afterwards. -
I was embarrassed when I saw that
-
His accuracy disappearing tonight is my no 1 concern right now. He had only like two plays where he let it rip by design
-
This was noticeable in pre season too I saw a few people on this board and on X pointing out how much better the offense functioned when Reich wasn’t calling the plays. Best part is that everyone will has already noticed this but the change won’t actually happen until week 9 when we are 2-6 and Young has zero confidence left for this season.

THERE WE GO BRYCE
-
I was too. I got convinced by Bryce too and I even have liked what I’ve seen but tonight is rough. No way around it.

Whew I can feel the first doubts about Bryce starting to creep into me right now
