  1. BDN will definitely command some respect in the locker room
  2. I bet Tepper hated the idea of being patient... guy is anything but
  3. Turner has been burning out of every org since he left here, I bet he'll settle a bit in Washington under a known regime. He's such a knucklehead though.
  4. I would love one of Clowney or Julio, especially Clowney since I'm a biased USC alum. But I think we should be calling up Ryan Fitzpatrick immediately and paying him to the professional leader in that QB room. Given Darnold's injury issues last season and the teams preference to maybe sit Corral as long as possible, Fitzpatrick could get some time at QB1 on Sundays.
  5. I said this in a different thread, but I like Corral's leadership ability over Darnold's already. If he's that much better then I hope they make the switch quickly. I'm just worried about who is going to be getting the #1 reps and who the hell is going to lead that QB room. They need a professional clipboard holder in there asap.
  6. A few things I'm thinking about Corral. In the post-round presser after drafting Corral, Rhule answered a question at the end talking about how Ole Miss teammates talked about what a good leader Corral is and how much they liked playing for him. I think this will factor into the dynamics of the QB position this year, I do not believe Sam Darnold is much of a leader that teammates rally around. He's just a quieter, straight edge guy, and that's okay. But unfortunately, he's also not an NFL starting QB in my opinion, and those two things combined will have him on a short leash. I do buy into the Corral leadership factor, read some good things about him (and bad) but I think ultimately he's a guy who's vulnerable with his teammates and plays hard as hell for them. You have got to respect his decision to play in the bowl game for his school and risking injury which unfortunately for him (not Carolina!) that's what happened. However, with no QB veteran in the room, who the hell is he going to learn from as he adjusts to NFL lifestyle? I do not think Darnold is the right guy for that, I think it's pretty important we do NOT pick up another QB arm for competition, but rather a clipboard holder who will guide the QB room in the right direction. No, I don't think the answer to that is Cam. By nature of how the team is structured right now, Sam will be getting the #1 reps most of camp I presume, if this happens and then he gets hurt or plays so bad that Corral is swapped in, I'll be worried about how quickly he adjusts and his confidence. I do not really trust this coaching staff in that respect, there's going to be so much responsibility on Ben McAdoo's shoulders, thank god he's an NFL vet and should be able to handle these things at his level. I'm excited though, we haven't had an exciting rookie QB since Cam I'd say so I'm looking forward to seeing how this all plays out. Very happy that we have what I'm hoping will be an at least middle of the pack NFL offensive line for the first time in years and some weapons to surround the QB position with.
  7. Everyone should be excited, he’s got a really talented arm and that’s something we haven’t seen in Carolina at the QB position in 5 years.
  8. Lol took the most talented QB of this draft class and all it cost was a 3rd next year. That’s worth it 100 times out of 100 don’t care how good or bad he turns out. Great job this draft addressing our two biggest needs and not reaching in either pick so far. Very happy.
  9. Rhule seemed a bit..... muzzled in the post round presser if you haven't watched and I thought this screengrab was funny. Any thoughts? Just a typical Rhule presser where he's totally frazzled and weird? I'm wondering if he knows a new sheriff is in town and he couldn't take his baby handed prodigy that he wanted or if his wifes meatballs were turning in his stomach.
  10. I'll admit I preferred Neal and was yelling at the TV to draft him, but tacking Ickey was perfectly acceptable so my disappointment lasted about 2 seconds.
  11. His hype was always a little off base to me. Had late bloomer status like Pickett with worse stats and less success at a smaller school against weaker competition. I'm going to root for him though because he seems like a good guy from what I've read and heard.
  12. Maybe just sit in the 4th, and take whichever QB is left there that's got the biggest arm.
  13. He was probably having heart palpitations also we eventually learned he has zero personality.
  14. Well he did score in the teens on a the Wonderlic
  15. I don't care what the mocks said, he's a luxury player and a bad pick IMO
  16. Lions trade up and take the best WR in the draft good job by them
  17. Oh my god the Taints traded up for a freaking WR I'm dead
  18. Definitely. The thing I enjoy about the NFL & the draft is 99% of the time the truth shows up whether on Sundays or in the picks. The NFL thinks these QBs stink man.... fascinating to watch. I love this stuff.
  19. Well you see they have the worst roster in the NFL and took a luxury player for the second year in a row with no QB. This luxury players specialty is just jump balls sooooooo.... yeah.
  20. Falcons had a horrible pick taking Drake London, love to see it.... still no QBs interesting
  21. Man I'm so happy we took a LT and would have been happy with Ickey or Neal. Thrilled.
  22. Great pick Panthers thank you, I wanted Neal but I'm 100% satisfied with that
