There's a whole lot of headache that's easy to avoid. Don't like pretending there isn't anyone else out there to draft who's also a good football player at 8. No sense in jumping through all the hoops to draft someone who could easily be a nonfactor because of off the field issues.

Some of the best news you will see all day
Panthering replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
Panther fans least favorite player to ever get a second contract? He's on the Mt Rushmore of that list at minimum. -
Tet McMillan: "I don't want to hear nothing"
Panthering replied to TD alt's topic in Carolina Panthers
All I'm hearing is TMac is dropping hard from the top 10 projections that were previously out there. -

Panthers Top 15 Paid Players at Position
Panthering replied to kungfoodude's topic in Carolina Panthers
Regardless of positional value and all that at least I like all of these players except for the Safety I don't know anything about. Good culture guys from top to bottom there who want to actually try and build something up in Charlotte. -
Panthers agree to 1-year deal with RB Rico Dowdle

So what is your draft strategy after today?
Panthering replied to Panthero's topic in Carolina Panthers
That is so lame and honestly a small red flag for me -
So what is your draft strategy after today?

I did not pay attention to the combine this year, did he even participate? Now that you mention it I don't recall seeing anything about him come across my feed. -
Panthers re-sign Brady Christiansen

Nice, the trenches seem to be ready to roll for Week 1 already unless I'm missing somebody -
I thought Hekker was pretty good....... EDIT: just saw he signed for the Titans, good for him

So what is your draft strategy after today?
Panthering replied to Panthero's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think the strategy now is to either draft the best pass rusher available or flip to the other side and get Bryce a weapon like TMac or Warren. We are still a bit infatuated with athletic traits over football skills so a good chance that it's TMac. -
Well based on last year the FA period made a lot of sense and it paid off in a big way. The draft had a lot of legitimate concerns that were brought to light as the season went along and ended up being pretty freaking bad actually. So thinking he at least hits on a few of these FA guys again and with the defense being so bad they will help by default, it will still really come down to drafting impact guys. This draft has a good chance to define the team going forward and saving him his job or else we'll be stuck in the mediocre tier.

Now here's a guy I've never heard of

Panthers sign Jaycee Horn to $100 million dollar deal

Good job not wasting any time and paying him and now other CBs can get paid more. -
Canales on TE spot from Char observer
Panthering replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
I am concerned that I've never heard of this guy before the offseason, but that's more than likely just a me problem. Still, a TE of all positions at 8 with our current squad issues. Ehhhhhh IDK Jim!! -
Just draft Jack Sawyer instead of signing this guy

He's a guy who doesn't go 100% every snap so that's something to think about. A difference maker when he's on but I don't think he deserves to be paid among the top 5 WRs because of his inconsistencies. I'm not sure how I feel about it but it would certainly help us more than hurt us.

Panthers met with Skattebo at Combine
Panthering replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Skattebo would be an instant fan favorite and I mean how could you not like him after that playoff performance. He's a certified Dan Morgan "dawg" that he talks about liking in prospects. -
Well said. He deserves some love from our fans for his decade of playing here.

Joe Person: Projecting moves based on vibes
Panthering replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah seriously, steady presence and has been relatively healthy his entire career. Kind of a no brainer.
